- Someb0dy, on 11/21/2008, -4/+80Final Words: "Now I'll re-enact the US economy"
- dnachoh, on 11/21/2008, -5/+41One witness said Mukasey, 67, collapsed suddenly and unexpectedly, near the end of his speech defending the Bush administration's war-on-terrorism policies to a conservative legal group.
Mukasey's brain: "No Michael, I can't do this anymore. It's just too much. This has been a long time coming, but, I'm leaving you."
[Door slams] - enrq, on 11/21/2008, -2/+34this was submitted before many news desks even heard about it.
- davidg11, on 11/21/2008, -2/+32That's why I tell people NOT to look at their 401K's.
- gullyben, on 11/21/2008, -4/+32*Breaking*
- shugdoo, on 11/21/2008, -12/+35Anyone would collapse trying to defend Bush Administration policies.
- cyborgbill, on 11/21/2008, -7/+27I hope he is ok.
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -3/+20Guy supports torture and carries water for the criminal Bush administration. While I don't wish pain or death on anyone, I'm not wasting time feeling any sympathy for this guy.
- Xizer, on 11/21/2008, -3/+19Interestingly enough, since waterboarding produces instantaneous and extremely intense panic attacks, cardiac arrest and stroke can sometimes occur as a side-effect.
- Calcularius, on 11/21/2008, -3/+17Lesson: Don't be a prick and people won't wish you were dead.
- myFriendDerrik, on 11/21/2008, -4/+17As a humanist I generally don't joke or make light of someone getting sick or worse, but does anyone else find it eerie that he couldn't finish his sentence "administration acted responsibly and this country is safer as a result...."
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -2/+14Props on beating many news sources to the Punch!
- Daumen, on 11/21/2008, -0/+11Too bad it still made it to those sites' front pages long before it made it to digg's :(
- Mujokan, on 11/21/2008, -0/+11The rule is that if you are going to be tasteless, you have to be funny.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/21/2008, -3/+12Wow, pot meet kettle.
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -4/+12he is complicit in a large number of events, that properly summed, would add up to multiple death penalties under many legal systems. so if you think he's deserving of pity, then you go. if I think he's deserving of the dustpan, then that's fine too.
- DrunkenPirate34, on 11/21/2008, -0/+8That was expertly worded to convey comedic timing and knowledge of the English language.
Oh wait, it wasn't. - peestandingup, on 11/21/2008, -0/+8Here ya go. It's a bit outta sync, but thats youtube for ya. You know when he starts talking gibberish that it's go time:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CqxqBwDZQAA - pintomp3, on 11/21/2008, -2/+9send him to gitmo for recovery.
- opticwind, on 11/21/2008, -6/+13Digg response:
1. Type Mukasey into Wikipedia search.
2. Skip over history and opinions to find the "Criticisms" section.
3. Add the word Bush to your response.
4. Wish Mukasey dead. - SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/21/2008, -0/+7Wow, that is extremely disturbing. I'm no doctor, but that looks like a stroke to me. Crazy it would happen in the middle of a public event like this.
- Braxford, on 11/21/2008, -4/+11It's not so much that he collapsed than just sort of short-circuted and shut down.
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -9/+16maybe water boarding will help!
- Junior612, on 11/21/2008, -3/+10I would collapse too if I had to give a speech defending the Bush administration's war-on-terrorism policies.
- chrissku, on 11/21/2008, -7/+14I wish him the best.
- 47f0, on 11/21/2008, -0/+6Of course it would never be abused on Digg.
- jellygraph, on 11/21/2008, -1/+7"One witness said Mukasey, 67, collapsed suddenly and unexpectedly, near the end of his speech defending the Bush administration's war-on-terrorism policies to a conservative legal group."
Sounds like his-conscious was having an allergic reaction to what he was saying. Or simply that he had a brain-fart trying to come up with the logic to justify Bush's war-on-terrorism policies. No surprise there. - inactive, on 11/21/2008, -12/+18Supports torture, he's a prick.
- sugarkang, on 11/21/2008, -1/+7have you learned nothing from the mccain/palin mob?
indict, impeach, send the criminals to prison.. i have no problem with that.
do not become the villain you so vehemently hate. - Homerr, on 11/21/2008, -0/+6It must be really stressful on him to stay so far out of integrity.
- tsopranos, on 11/21/2008, -2/+7STFU about left vs. right *****. Not everyone fits neatly into your little boxes. I'm guessing you're a conservative...look at your ***** party, nothing but warmongering neocons and religious nutsos now.
Where's the voting block that made the Republican party popular, limited government, fiscal conservatives? Nowhere to be ***** found. The GOP rino's have destroyed the party. Maybe you should be worried about that instead of your mindless hate for "liberals". - naturalpapa, on 11/21/2008, -4/+9Perfect!
- rdwinder, on 11/21/2008, -1/+6welcome to digg.
- Xizer, on 11/21/2008, -6/+11Oooh! Can't wish ill on the guy who supports torture!! Whatever Digg. ***** you guys. I refuse to feel sorry for this ***** who supports waterboarding.
- comedyjock, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5eh....scroll up.
- 47f0, on 11/21/2008, -1/+5Or, perhaps a third option. As a human and an American, I hope he is well, and recovers quickly. But as I am also an American, I hope he lives to be tried and convicted for his crimes.
Basically, I'm in favor of that due process thing that he doesn't support - harris2004, on 11/21/2008, -4/+8This could have been President-Elect Mccain, good thing people made the right choice.
- aragon127, on 11/21/2008, -0/+4That Karma's a real bitch.
- ngmcs8203, on 11/21/2008, -1/+5I'm no expert, but I'm guessing stroke. They're saying he's alert.
- inactive, on 11/21/2008, -2/+6Sociopath with pacemaker, large corps of doctors, money.
- blacktriangle, on 11/21/2008, -3/+7Yes, I hope he's OK so he can continue to be a advocate of torture and more wars.

- Libertaire, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3Maybe he has a conscience (ya right) and it bitch slapped him 'cause it got fed up of of his ego spewing BS.
- Calcularius, on 11/22/2008, -0/+3Torturing and killing people is not a "political ideology."
- drjekelmrhyde, on 11/21/2008, -3/+6I hope he gets better
/liberal - RaysinX, on 11/21/2008, -0/+3This type of thing offers an interesting idea... Could we have an option to submit to "breaking news" so if something is immensely important (for example a former president passing away) it gets sent to people who monitor the site to make it immediately front page even if it has very few diggs?
Of course if this was abused it would become useless and only for VERY important things -
