- ADVIZR, on 02/18/2008, -37/+349The word needs to get out on this. The proverbial ***** is about to hit the proverbial fan. This is serious fraud.

- newstart, on 02/18/2008, -13/+121Yea I can confirm that, Obama was robbed in NY. He lost his mobile phone and $80.
- greenleave5, on 02/18/2008, -3/+95I did. Misleading a little.
- imikedaman, on 02/18/2008, -4/+81Sorry for the comment hijacking, but this story is woefully inaccurate and sensationalist. The original article from the New York Times pointed out how Clinton also received zero votes in many districts, and outside sources claim that it was little more than a clerical error and have no reason to believe it was fraud.
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/16/nyregion/16vote. ... - Neo189, on 02/18/2008, -11/+85This is horrible, and needs to be rectified as soon as possible. It'd be a tragedy if Obama lost the election because of something like this.

There were also some districts in which Clinton received zero votes. It's being currently chalked up to human error. And really, if you want to be devious and steal some precincts, you don't do it by sticking a "0" in one of the candidate's columns. That's a tad bit obvious. And the problems are being caught and corrected, so no need to hyperventilate. - sotopheavy, on 02/18/2008, -23/+90Hilldawg 's slimy nature shows up again!

- chall85, on 02/18/2008, -5/+51This is not an "update". It's the same story the Times posted a couple days ago, only with less information. buried.

- loki440, on 02/18/2008, -8/+46EditorResponse let me get this straight...
Barack Obama decides one night to risk his career, marriage, professional and personal reputation on drug-fueled gay sex with an old homeless dude (ok the guy is supposedly a limo driver, but he's got HOBO written all over him). You're ***** kidding me right?
Even if Obama was a crack-addicted, hobo banger, I still don't think this guy would be on the menu. Nice try *****. - DeusNova, on 02/18/2008, -9/+47Why do people still support Hilary?
- insinuate, on 02/18/2008, -5/+35XD Holy *****. Thank you for that laugh sir. So ***** random....so ***** awesome.
- imikedaman, on 02/18/2008, -1/+29I just realized the top poster linked to this article too. Did he even bother reading it? I ask because it directly contradicts his statement of it being serious fraud. Read your sources, people!
The New York Times article presents a level-headed explanation for what happened, why it isn't fraud, and points out that the recount will only result in a change of one or two delegates. Even Obama's staffers said it was no big deal. - ADVIZR, on 02/18/2008, -1/+27Hi, I'm the submitter. Assuming nothing fishy took place, then it could be considered a sensationalist headline. I read the NY Times piece and another article on the issue before submitting. If the numbers are woefully underreported for Obama compared to any "clerical errors" for Clinton, then I'd consider it a fair headline.
Let me clarify. By "fraud", I don't mean a top-down, person-behind-the-curtain conspiracy theory. I mean fraud against the public in the sense of the ineptitude of an election process that can so easily be wrong. Part of me is a grounded in the reality of past elections having very serious problems over the years, with criminal acts: lone individuals fudging numbers to large-scale efforts to misinform disadvantaged people of voting dates via fliers, robocalls, or making the locations difficult to access. The other part of me is just jaded, perhaps.
If there is a rush to judgment, it stems from recent events of the Clinton campaign. There are tactics and then there is simply unscrupulous nerve. And that's the behavior I'm seeing from the Clintons concerning recent actions to do a 180 on their agreement over Florida and Michigan.
All I want is a an honest election, no matter the winner. We're a long way off from being "fair" or "open" in the way we elect people; that's for sure. - EtherGnat, on 02/18/2008, -3/+28It seems to me that forcing medical care on babies that have no chance for survival regardless of a doctor's diagnosis or parent's wishes is a bit inhumane.

- Tiak, on 02/18/2008, -2/+22Even if he had a gay experience (and some guy claiming it is a far cry from it having actually happened, even if he says he'll take a polygraph), why the ***** would it matter?...
Now, on your comments that might otherwise actually be meaningful content, first, it is NOT Marxist to want t help foreign nations, Marx wasn't about that, in fact, it was our great strategy to combat communism... So I'm just starting out by saying quit applying inappropriate labels for no purpose other than the negativity that is associated with them. Secondly, at least he is talking about financing his ridiculous desires. He actually gives a ***** about a balanced budget, something Republicans these days show little to no interest in. Thirdly, to put it in perspective, 845 billion over 13 years is roughly equitable to a year and a half of our current military. - makkaveli19, on 02/18/2008, -6/+26you never stop do you editor?
- Swift2, on 02/18/2008, -3/+21This exact same story appeared yesterday, reported from the NY Times, with a lot more detail. How interesting it is that the sensationalist, FOX-News-like New York Post, and they say "We was robbed." It's simply not true. Nobody suspects that the discrepancies are widespread or malevolent. The inaccurate counts are being corrected in the normal way they're always corrected, and this election has no more mistakes in the initial count than any others. You should check out the last eight or ten elections in NY, particularly in the city, where there are so many votes to be counted, and the media and the public are so hungry for results. That's why what they report on that night are automatically checked before the totals are made final.
You're Obama supporters. If you believe what the NY Post says about a Democratic primary, you need your frickin' heads examined. If Fox News said that Obama was secretly a Martian, or Hillary was about to seize power in a military coup, would you believe that too? Come on, support your candidate, but cut it out with the nutcase conspiracy stuff. - illspaz, on 02/18/2008, -1/+19you think anyone in the RIAA ever visits the internet? if so, how do they still exist?
- rory096, on 02/18/2008, -1/+18How is an inaccurate unofficial count robbery?

- PizzaPops, on 02/18/2008, -5/+20This is very disconcerting and I'm Canadian. I think I am more worried about who is elected President of the US than who is elected Prime Minister of Canada. Strange times, eh?
- zKman, on 02/18/2008, -3/+18What's the going rate for getting a hobo to read cue cards? Is there a discount for every tooth they are missing?

- topgigmedia, on 02/18/2008, -1/+15If these stories had even an ounce of credibility - the Neo-cons and Fox-like pundits would be all of it like flies on a turd, don't ya think? You are a fool.
- floguy, on 02/18/2008, -1/+15"I do not vote. No big deal, cause I don't believe one vote ever makes a difference. However I encourage others to vote, since that makes a difference"

If anyone who knew what Whitehouse.com was during the late 90's would find the aforementioned claim absolutely hysterical. - Charlotte_Web, on 02/18/2008, -2/+15I see that Digg's Bury Bridgade is already on the job... the article has been marked as "Inaccurate".
However, ABC News is reporting that other candidates did not have this problem; it seems to be almost exclusive to Obama:
http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2008/02/co ...
...which makes sense, since Obama was the only one of the five candidates on the ballot who presented a serious challenge to Clinton in the state election. - Drkboarder, on 02/18/2008, -7/+19Everyday I get a little more weary of the voting booths...
- dualityim, on 02/18/2008, -5/+16Buried for sensationalist inaccuracy.
- Charlotte_Web, on 02/18/2008, -0/+11FTA:
"Mr. Koenig said he seriously doubted that anything underhanded was at work because local politicians care more about elections that matter specifically to them.
“They steal votes for elections like Assembly District leader, where people have a personal stake,” he said."
ROFLMAO!!!!!!
Interpretation: "Our electoral board are crooks, sure, but they're small-time crooks; they would never rig a national election!"
EIGHTY DISTRICTS WHERE OBAMA DIDN'T RECEIVE A SINGLE VOTE, SOME OF THEM HEAVILY BLACK, AND THIS IS "HUMAN ERROR". Yeah, right!
Obviously, the Democratic leadership don't want to invoke the "electoral fraud" label because this is still all within the Democratic Party. - MJDub, on 02/18/2008, -0/+111 ***** = 4.5 megatons of *****.
