Voting rights advocates won an important battle in southern Ohio on Friday after a team of lawyers informed a local sheriff and county prosecutor that their attempt to interview new student voters about their voter registration credentials was "unlawful intimidation" under the Voting Rights Act and National Voter Registration Act. - chosenson, on 10/14/2008, -1/+19They are not advocating for voter fraud; they are advocating for voting rights. Intimidation of voters is ugly and is a violation of our constitutional rights!!
- paintgrl, on 10/14/2008, -1/+13the Greene County Sheriff, Gene Fischer is a name people in Ohio should memorize then run the man out of his position. This is why local elections and voting in them are important. Don't just bring out your civic pride to vote every 4 years, make sure to vote for local candidates too, or you get people like the Greene County Sheriff, Gene Fischer to intimidate people out of voting.

- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -2/+6Actually, you are lying about the dem voter fraud, there isn't a single proven case that an ACORN submitted form was used to cast a fraudulent vote.

Whether you are dishonest, or just ignorant of the truth, you failed.
Just for the record I believe ID must be shown to vote. Poor voters should get a free ID. - psy333che, on 10/14/2008, -1/+4Looks like there is voter fraud and voter fraud fear all over... It is going to be a long election night .......
- inactive, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1Ohio is a great state. In order to vote you just need to supply a name, address, date of birth, and city and state of birth.
With regulations like that, it's hard to believe that the state is so ripe with voting problems. - DreadPirate, on 10/14/2008, -1/+2"Investigators probing ACORN have learned that an Ohio man registered to vote several times and cast a bogus ballot with a fake address, officials said yesterday, as they revealed that nearly 4,000 registration applications supplied by the left-leaning activist group were suspect."
Guess you are living up to your nick, TH. You just can't face the truth because it hurts too much. - inactive, on 10/15/2008, -0/+1Actually, yes as long as they're polite about it. I only force the issue if they get obnoxious about it. I have nothing to hide or fear since I abide by the law.
- Insightful, on 10/15/2008, -1/+1You freely allow law enforcement to search you home right? You have nothing to hide do you?
- inactive, on 10/14/2008, -5/+3Right, and asking people to produce identification is such an example of intimidation...
Anyone who is afraid to show their ID most likely has a good reason for doing so - a criminal reason. - Wosat, on 10/14/2008, -8/+1Example of Democrat voter fraud:
Allowing dead, illegal, or imaginary people to vote... sometimes more than once.
Example of Republican voter fraud:
Asking new voters to show ID. - inactive, on 10/14/2008, -17/+4"Voting rights advocates"? Change that to voter fraud advocates.
