- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -1/+27Wow that's disgusting.
assassinations, civil unrest, riots in the streets and martial law, coming soon America! - booksnmore4you, on 10/13/2008, -1/+24Make the phone call: http://www.ustreas.gov/usss/field_offices.shtml
- johnnr2, on 10/13/2008, -1/+23Sunlight is the best disinfectant.
- hankthedwarf, on 10/13/2008, -1/+22Also, as sick as it may make you feel, you may want to save the image like I did in case they take it down to try to pretend it never happened. And keep a note of the poster's name "The Libertarian Conservative".
- inactive, on 12/08/2008, -1/+19I'm e-mailing the Secret Service. Which number would I call?
- simonowens, on 10/13/2008, -1/+18Make sure to take a few seconds to report this guy. This may be considered a crime:
http://www.ustreas.gov/usss/field_offices.shtml - hankthedwarf, on 10/13/2008, -1/+18http://www.ustreas.gov/usss/contact_usss.shtml
That's an email form. It's best to call, but if they get enough reports via the web form, they're liable to do something about this crap. This stuff needs to stop . - simonowens, on 10/13/2008, -1/+14Wow, and what's worse is this guy is on the Pajamas Media network, this is going to be a huge embarrassment for them
- hankthedwarf, on 10/13/2008, -1/+13The office closest to you would suffice I think, since it seems like the coward doesn't even mention what state he's in. The Secret Service is highly mobile and well organized. Probably the most organized of any governmental organization thankfully.
- inactive, on 12/08/2008, -0/+12Good idea. I saved the whole web page and got a screenshot. I already e-mailed, but since they get so much, I'm going to call them tomorrow.
- skylights, on 10/13/2008, -1/+12I'm hoping this creates enough outpouring of outrage that the author takes down the post. If that doesn't work, maybe the media attention this creates will force his hand. By then, the Secret Service should have gotten wind, and I expect the author will be in a heap of trouble. If he gets away with it, it could encourage more. It could create an atmosphere where some insane person decides to take matters into their own hands. The result could tear America apart.
- zedkitty, on 10/13/2008, -1/+11Libertarian Conservative goes on to say:
1. I have never been, nor would I ever be, affiliated with Pajama’s Media.
2. Say Anything is a Blog that I have a account at and sometimes post there. It does not belong to me.
3. Everything that is posted at this Blog is the opinion of myself and myself ALONE. It does not reflect the opinions of my sponsors.
4. Last time I checked, the first amendment was still on the books. So, I do have a right to express myself as I see fit.
5. I will not be intimidated by Communist liberals nor Crybaby “politically correct” so-called Conservatives.
We’re at war folks, and I intend to fight this war until my dying breath. We’re at war against terrorists that want to destroy this country and everything it stands for and we are war against godless liberals who hate the very values and freedoms that this Nation was founded upon.
I will not submit to a “Political Correct” fascist agenda, which wishes to restrict my freedoms.
You have been warned.

"Update #4: Well, it’s now on DailyKOS and I suppose I will be the next drive-by media story. That’s fine. Because the point is being missed by the Left totally, which really is not a big shock to me. I will say this, I do not intend to pull this posting, at all. I’m proud of it, that I was able to make the Left Liberals have a knee-jerk reaction. I will go to jail before I pull it. There is a thing called the First Amendment to the constitution and I will go to jail before I will have my first admendment rights taken fro me."
Yep, you will. Have fun with that buttrape. - skylights, on 10/13/2008, -2/+8This guy sounds like he's about 13 years old. Betcha.
- JenniferInMO, on 10/13/2008, -1/+7I called. Call your local field office. They will communicate the information to the appropriate person.
- ithasacarb, on 10/13/2008, -3/+8It called being informed not promotion. Do you see anyone supporting it? Dumbass!
- TunaFishGangsta, on 10/13/2008, -0/+5"This post has been removed due to objectionable content."
- Nikropht, on 10/13/2008, -1/+6It's sad, but this is the tip of the iceburg that Palin has ran into. It will get worse.
- wonderlandpr, on 10/13/2008, -2/+7Contact OBAMA FOR AMERICA FIGHT THE SMEARS.
IF YOU GOOGLE SECRET SERVICE OR DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY OR THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT, YOU WILL FIND CONTACT NUMBERS THERE.
McCain tonite...said he was going to kick Obama's ass in the upcoming debate. MCCAIN PALIN ARE STILL BEING VIOLENT IN THEIR WORDS. THEY MUST BE STOPPED. - inactive, on 12/08/2008, -0/+4Thanks for the info. I'm going to call Monday. This beyond sick. And I hope the guy who put this up gets arrested.
Stupid people out there think the First Amendment protects all speech, but it doesn't. You can't scream fire in a crowded theater, and I'm pretty sure that advocating killing a presidential candidate is illegal, too. - thepoliticalcat, on 10/13/2008, -2/+6I agree with Tyler. You are linking directly to the blog or website of this racist loon. They will NOT take the graphic down just because a "bunch of whiny libtards" complains. They'll be thrilled at the increase in traffic and people like me who innocently clicked on the link expecting to get a neutral site with an analysis of the incident and a warning to "Click at your own risk" would not be sitting here gobsmacked. That is the most disgusting thing I've seen. De-link it, please.
- Tyler126, on 10/13/2008, -3/+7That statement is only true if you're actually going to contact authorities about the graphic AND it does get taken down. Otherwise, the blogger wins. He's just got 1000 hits and republicans rejoicing.
- skylights, on 10/13/2008, -2/+6The post is still up at his personal blog: http://www.politicalbyline.com/2008/10/12/enough/
Commentary here: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/10/12/22594 ...
And here: http://www.mydd.com/story/2008/10/13/03239/237 - skylights, on 10/13/2008, -1/+5You're right, I should have included a warning to click at your own risk. Unfortunately, Digg won't let me edit the description or change the link to a neutral report of the incident. Hopefully, enough people here are using Adblock Plus that he won't see the ad revenue. And hopefully, Pajamas Media will have the good sense to delete the post. If not, I think the Secret Service will make them delete it.
- skylights, on 10/13/2008, -1/+5The post on his personal blog is gone:
Oops! Page Not Found (Error 404)
Oops... sorry! For one reason or another the page you are looking for could not be found and its probably not your fault. It might be:
* A mis-typed URL
* An out-of-date or a faulty referral from another site
* Or an old page that has been deleted or moved
My guess is the Secret Service contacted him. So much for his tough talk, LOL. I think I made the right choice in posting this story. I'm guessing that the page would've been up longer if not for Diggers contacting the authorities (even though this wasn't front paged). - skylights, on 10/13/2008, -2/+5He tries to play it cool, but I still bet the Secret Service called him...
If you came looking for the “Enough!” posting
Oct 13th, 2008
by The Libertarian Paleo-Conservative.
Well, it is gone. I’ll tell you why. The point of the posting was being lost and the post itself was becoming the story. Which I never wanted to happen.
The point is, I made the far left have a knee jerk reaction. I also gave them something to talk about.
Again, as I stated in the actual posting itself, I never, ever wished any harm come to Obama, at all. I was simply making a point and doing exactly what the left is doing to Sarah Palin.
That is all, nothing more to see, move along…" - LemonHerb, on 10/13/2008, -0/+3When you vote for Obama you are voting against people like this guy.
- dinot, on 10/13/2008, -2/+4***** I hate it when people use the First Amendment as an excuse to justify their stupidity.
Attention all retards: Free speech IS NOT a "Be an ***** and get away with it" card. - inactive, on 10/13/2008, -1/+3Dear 22%-ers,
Get the fvck out of our country, you maggots!
You idiots belong in the looney bin or with the terrorist extremists in Afgan and Iraq - skabyss, on 10/13/2008, -2/+4fvck? really?
- flipmoe, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2Someone needs to beat that man with a rake.
- dinot, on 10/13/2008, -0/+2It means you have a right to speak your mind, as well as a RESPONSIBILITY to be civil in discourse.
And if you use the First Amendment to rationalize the threat of violence on a Presidential candidate, expect to explain the concept of free speech to the Secret Service knocking on your door. - Lhandroval, on 10/13/2008, -1/+3OK, This is Lame.
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Let's see how much this asswipe enjoys Gitmo.....
- MediaWeasel, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2However I did send the shortcut link to the webform supplied earlier in the thread. If this is the kind of rhetoric and imagery that is condoned or distributed by the right, we should worry about what message that sends to the rest of the world given the fact that the next Presidency will have a huge impact on global relations.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -0/+1It's gone and the person's privileges to post on that site have been rescinded. Citizens in action!
- rudanja, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1The apology from the the blog:
http://sayanythingblog.com/entry/straw_man_argumen ... - uncleosbert, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1actually, the guy has a point. i am a proud obama supporter, and i would also defend his right to post critical (even violent) images of candidates; i believe in the bill of rights.
this problem will become much worse before it gets better, so we might as well ask if this is a bug or a feature. if we send this man to jail we are playing right into the hands of authoritarianism. how is this markedly different from those bumper stickers that say "regime change begins at home"?
yeah, it's more inflammatory, but it's fundamentally the same message. there's a reason lincoln suspended habeas corpus; he was threatened throughout his administration. it still didn't thwart booth. we should be careful deeming any comment too dangerous to utter or print. censorship doesn't increase safety. it only drives the threat where it's harder to see. - uncleosbert, on 10/14/2008, -0/+1yes, real conservatives can't get enough of hiding behind women. what a prize.
i would really like to see that picture... you know, the one the left made depicting sarah palin and advocating her death. anyone have that bookmarked? - vampyroteuthis, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!
stupidity, ignorance, hatred, desperation, wickedness... all fueled indirectly (and, therefore "safely") by the McCain / Palin campaign.... what a dirty old man. these people - along with their ignorant, archaic ideals - are being "bred-out" if you will... humanity is socially evolving to a much better place, and these bozos will simply be left behind.... thank god....
the problem here is simply ignorance... lack of education, etc... these are low-information voters, and the more we can do as a nation to educate these people, the better off we'll be as a collective.
again: ENOUGH!!!!!!
Obama / Biden '08 - '16....... YES WE CAN!!!! and, my heart tells me WE WILL! - piper999, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Hate crime is not covered by the first amendment which I'm sure he has found out by now.
- oldhick, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2Where does the responsibility come in to play? I understand limits on the first Amendment, but I thought limits were pretty structured around violence, sedition, slander, and libel.
You can be completely un-civil. You can be an ass. You can say stupid crap.
You honestly believe that guy is going to get in any trouble? You're crazy. He'll get hauled in and interviewed. He might even be watched for a while (and that's highly doubtful). My guess is that absolutely nothing happens to him. - oldhick, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2Being informed... Right. Cause if I hadn't seen this submission, I never would have known that there are racist idiots in the world. Thanks for keeping us all informed!
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1Because LGF stopped taking new members and we can't see it there?
- inactive, on 10/13/2008, -2/+3The secret service will nail his ass to the wall. ;-)
- oldhick, on 10/13/2008, -1/+2Please explain.
- uncleosbert, on 10/13/2008, -0/+1i agree, oldhick. the first amendment contains no special exemptions for liars. the first amendment is specifically for making comments about presidents, if it means anything at all.
censorship breeds hatred in secret, and when it explodes it's too late to thwart it. and there are no guarantees of safety: reagan was hit by a bullet ricocheting off his limo's window. i'd rather see every tasteless expression that was ever imagined, than see anyone actually shot or lynched. - moliver21, on 10/13/2008, -1/+1I'm beginning to understand what the Civil War was really about. When will this sort of thing end?
