- angusm, on 10/10/2007, -15/+49It's funny how when God speaks to people like this, He always seems to tell them to go out and murder defenseless women. Why doesn't He ever seem to urge them to raise money for a health clinic or run a daycare center or be nice to puppies or something?
If the behavior of His followers is any kind of guide to the character of God, He must be a total sonofabitch. - Indyanna, on 10/10/2007, -11/+36Let he who is without sin swing the first sword.
- frieddonuts, on 10/10/2007, -6/+29These men use God as an excuse to justify their cruel beliefs. Grouping them in with anyone who is religious is going a little too far.
- reeder, on 10/10/2007, -6/+26You're ***** disgusting.
- cassholio, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20Well, I can't recall when the USA beheaded any prostitutes.
- swrostmore, on 10/10/2007, -11/+27Seems like y'all are more interested in liberal bashing than you are in condemning the brutality of fundamentalists. Interesting.
- stealthc, on 10/10/2007, -3/+18If we followed the Constitution, America would rock a million times more than it does right now. The world is getting ***** out there, and we don't have to let it happen here.
That said, vvtf has a great point. "Diversity" as an ideal is just plain stupid. People like being with other people similar to themselves. Heck, my university made great roommate assignments for freshmen just by grouping people who looked alike!
It's OK to be different, in fact it's pretty darn cool, but don't anybody try to force us all to get along and be around one another all the time, mm'kay? That's not actually freedom. - fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19"BUSHCHIMPHITLER"? What the hell?
- Dewhead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Excellent point. I look forward to the day when Americans just call themselves Americans instead of African-Americans, Mexican-Americans, Muslim Americans, Gay Americans etc..... How about just Americans?
- airiox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14umm, vault I think you missed the point entirely, He was critisizing the beheading...
- luther70, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14That may be true in some since but we do have a justice system that attempts to give due process before executing.
- fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -4/+17We need diversity, we don't need multi-culturalism. The US has always been defined by people of many races and backgrounds coming to form one country, one people, one national identity. E pluribus unum.
- vault, on 10/10/2007, -8/+19Uh I've never sinned to the extent that I beheaded anyone...I think it's fair to criticize a beheading.
- rlh1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12OK I've regained my composure,.
I should have called you a pork-faced bastard instead - airiox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Who says he doesn't tell people to go do charitable works? Maybe these people weren't following god, but rather Satan and their own selfish desires?
- fuzzmeister, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10As a self-proclaimed liberal, I will go right ahead and call you an apologist son of a bitch. You need to realize that despite your comfortable preconceptions, there _are_ such things as right and wrong, and it is not completely relative.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+12You managed to find 2 in the past 13 years. Moslems have murdered more than that in the past 3 minutes. Congratulations on your horribly misguided and failed attempt at moral equivalence.
- vault, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10What's happening isn't even remotely similar to Hitler and your argument is a stretch at best.
- Battleloser, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11None?
- rlh1, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11***** you, you *****.
ooops, I guess ***** it wrong to say
***** you you cowardly fag. - Dewhead, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8name one and name one that is beheaded.
- Dewhead, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Thank God you said that fuzzmeister. I was beginning to think all liberals were completely crazy.
- maz2331, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Although I must confess that while I belive relativity works in physics, it has no place in morality. Behavior is either right or wrong for the most part, with very few gray areas.
- Dewhead, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8Heres the difference. These violent acts against abortion providers were condemned by Christians and the perputrators were punished for their crimes. The violent acts created by Muslims are not condemned by Muslims but instead are celebrated and encouraged. You are in denial or Islamist if you cannot see that.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -9/+14Very interesting to get so much hate for western democracy and appeasement and disinformation in favor of cutthroat killers.
- EuphopiaB, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7You do realize that the Kool-aid is meant to be mixed with water first.
- sspooner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6So, you're saying killing women is OK if your Pakistani ?
Idiot. - baalzebub, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7too bad the moderate muslems with the good sense to not chop people's heads off at the slightest offence wont grow the cajones to hunt down the nutcases that do these sorts of things and prosecute them as murderers they really are...
- blaM68, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7The religion of piece strikes again.
- leejae, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Lol at the end of the article it says shaving beards is unislamic. Whoever made these dumb ass ***** rules are huge douchebags.
- maz2331, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Yep. We're all supposed to just blend together into one unique people, not a bunch of little enclaves of every nation known to man. Leave the "old country's" ***** where it belongs - in the "old country". But do bring along traditions, knowledge, and cooking. Just leave the hatred at the door and talk to your neighbors of different backgrounds.
We all learn by that and the whole becomes much more than the sum of the parts. - NikoKun, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4The police there, really need to get their act together, and catch sickos like these people... and set an example of them to help prevent this from happening in the future... These people are nothing but murders...
- Wacer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I agree that there people many need to understand the situation of other cultures but only to a point. People don't have time to divulge in the details of other cultures to a large degree. One thing that people who defend the Islamics should realize that the Muslims generally condone those who commit atrocities if it is being done to sinners. Most other belief systems do not condone such actions. Until the Muslims can eradicate their support of radicals they will continue to be viewed as barbarians of the planet.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4you really just tried to compare 5 deaths in a 17 year span to the islamic terrorists? go to oz, get your brain.
- rlh1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Aaah, the old Christian atrocities from 500 to 1000 years ago. Slavery was gone in the US 150 years ago, but since it an accepted practice for about 5000 years, on all continents, I guess it wasn't only Christians who were guilty of this.
If you want to list historic crimes due to religion, read about the Muslim conquest of Indian.
But that's not what is being discussed. It's the present tense. The last 10, 20 years or so. A hand full of abortion doctor killings, which is wrong, doesn't compare to the religious killings in Nigeria over the last 20 years, of Algeria over the last 20 years. I read almost daily through the 90's about school girls being stabbed to death for not wearing Islamic cloths. Whole villages being beheaded because they wouldn't back the Islamic cause.
And I'm not on a religious pedestal, I just get tired of reading that there is the same atrocities here in the US from the Christians as in the Islamic world and the only thing that they use for an example it Mr. Rudolph and a dozen abortion killings. The killed 150,000 in Algeria trying to force an Islamic state. They have killed 10,000 in Nigeria trying to implement Sharia law, etc etc. If you think that this is equivalent then your skull is already crushed. - Indyanna, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Who cares? Betcha those 2 women cared.
- Nudar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Not to mention Christians will loudly condemn such acts from the leaders at the top to the lowest one on the totem pole.
- fantasticFlan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Are you serious?
- rlh1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Hey, you forgot to also list the ones killed by Islam in Algeria - Nigeria - Kashmir - etc etc ---- 12 or so abortion doctors isn't going to cut it.
- voodoozombie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Although our police seem corrupt and we seem to not care, we try our best to create a safe environment for everyone. Muslims actually want non believers to suffer and die. There is a difference. Read the Qur'an.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Islam. . .The religion of peace! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
- browwiw, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Maybe you're getting dugg just because you're an *****.
- sspooner, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Why don't these cowards pick on someone their own size ?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Guess which religion actively promotes slavery today? I'll give you two hints, they don't like pigs and they like to murder jewish children.
- Crusader1145, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3That is simply not true. Muhammad himself held slaves so I'm not sure where you're getting your "facts" from.. The Koran is full of verses about slavery, none of which condemn it but in fact condone it. Saudi Arabia officially outlawed slavery only recently (by many accounts it still exists though). And that was only under pressure from the West. Muslims have never repudiated slavery and under Sharia law its perfectly legal.
- Crusader1145, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The Muslim tradition, or obligation, to donate to charity is a noble sentiment. But, if I'm not mistaken, that charitable obligation does not extend to helping non-Muslims. Christian and Jewish tradition make no such distinction. Believer, non-believer, polytheist, doesn't matter, you help people in need. I'm not aware of any major charity that assists non-Muslims.
As for the dog story, aren't dogs considered "unclean" in Islam just as pigs are? Strange that a story about an unclean animal would be popular. - Jamihabs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Please get help.
- Jamihabs, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Interesting that you would compare this activity with conservatism. And, I can see that with twisted logic one could make that case (religious conviction, and all). What is more interesting is it is the right that stands most firmly against this and the left that all but supports it.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The last time a Christian hung a gay for being gay: 1824
The last time a moslem hung a gay for being gay: Yesterday - Jamihabs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Excuse me if I’m wrong, but you strike me as one of those lefty apologists that bends over backwards to excuse the beheading of women, yet gets bent out of shape about saying “one nation under god”.
