Treated Like a Terrorist by the DMV

alternet.org — The author tries to renew his drivers license and runs afoul of the catch-a-terrorist system in the DMV. I am not a terrorist.How can I prove this in these paranoid times? It's straight out of Kafka. They referred to my case as a "crime" when no crime had ever been committed. We are at the mercy of lunatics.

    The point of the Patriot Act was for the pentagon to keep closer tabs on US citizens; however, when faced with state bureaucracy that cannot get out of its own way, one wonders whether the pentagon hasn't undermined itself.
