- mikehager66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3We would want English to be the official language so we don't have to deal with everything being in 2 or 6 or 24 different languages. This is America and English is the official language. Schools would be obligated to teach our children in any given language. When I came here from Italy as a child we learned the language and assimilated into society. We did not try to form separate communities and refuse to assimilate. Sorry, but illegal mean illegal no matter what way you want to take it. Come here legally, learn the language, contribute to society or go back to your country of origin.

Imagine all the trees that would be alive today. Viva! - rancemo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Why would we want to make english the national language? Is that freedom? Is that liberty?
