- carlosglz, on 10/11/2007, -4/+48I love it at the end of the second video when one reporter asked why Scooter shouldn't do at least do some jail time, and Snowjob says "and tell me why (he should)" and another reporter chimes in "BECAUSE HE WAS CONVICTED OF OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE IS WHY"... "FOR LYING". Then one reporter says "you are insulting our intelligence."
- redrock34, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31These kind of meetings are useless. The press would have had the same information if they wouldn't have attended. I can be a spokesman for the White House.
Step 1: Receive instructions from White House.
Step 2: Repeat the same thing over and over again.
Step 3: Don't comment on tough questions.
TADA! - qdkk, on 10/11/2007, -3/+29The administration has lost all reason.
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/11/2007, -5/+30Man, if I were dying of cancer, I wouldn't be spending my last days slinging Bush's *****.
I kinda feel sorry for Tony Snow. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+22Snow just keeps lowering that bar.
The saddest part is these liars and scumbags will still have jobs with the neocons and will never be out of work. - venir, on 10/11/2007, -0/+21I am so sick of this crap where they hold a press conference just to tell them the same answer to all the questions. "I won't comment on this... I won't comment on that....". What *****.
- Wamzlee, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19If Bush thinks 2 1/2 years in prison is harsh, how can I trust him to be tough on terrorists?
- eatsushi, on 10/11/2007, -0/+16oh my god, i actually had to turn it off halfway b/c I couldn't take it anymore. what a ***** *****.
- terrachronos, on 10/11/2007, -1/+16The last time we saw this much bullsh*t was when the Iraqi Information Minister was on TV
- bhambleton, on 10/11/2007, -6/+19Wake up America!
- Chairboy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+11Could you rephrase your question in the form of.... english?
- faithhealer, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11@rhabd0mancer: yeah, it's really kind of sad. Go home and be with your family--don't stand there and disgrace yourself making up BS defending these asshats.
- Rooster99, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10He can walk out at any time - Why feel sorry for someone who has actually CHOSEN to spend his last remaining time on earth to spin Bushco's *****! Sounds like a case of "you made the bed, now you sleep in it."
- rhythmisnothing, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8what the ***** are you talking about? are you even old enough to vote?
- gab00n, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7Cheney will just blow something up, blame it on Muslims and then you will be back to performing fellatio on this administration in no time at all.
- lordmike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Well, if perjury was considered to be important enough ti impeach, then it should be important enough to convict.
- SenorCardgage74, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Wouldnt he have to travel to Ghana to catch that?
- blackacre, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I have to limit my exposure to most news stories about the administration lest my head explode.
- maxwellpower, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6Resign, King George.
- strax, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4dug down for being a useless comment about digging down someone else. (feel free to digg this down too!)
- MyMistake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4No way. It's his choice. He could quit. Even better, he could come out and tell the truth. Then I'd have some respect for him.
- deathweaver108, on 10/11/2007, -2/+6I'm mad as hell
and I'm not going to take it anymore - MyMistake, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Whether the video comes from C&L or CNN, it's the same press conference and the same Tony Snow failing to answer the same questions.
- jp58, on 10/11/2007, -1/+5Do you really think that 30 months at the Allentown Country Club to work on his golf game is excessive?
They allow conjugal visits there, right?
And full access to communicate with their stockbrokers, right?
Oh wait, maybe they don't have cable news (i.e. Faux News) there.
Yeah, I can see that would be a little too severe. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Trying to abolish the Federal Reserve is what JFK wanted to do. Short time later, he was ventilated in Dallas.
Funny, that. - mikelieman, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4Keith Olbermann puts Tony Snow to shame...
- seifried, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3"You need to understand the guideline argument better" - Tony Snow
This administrations seems to be making a lot of arguments to get their point across. Why are they making so many decisions that require such lengthy and convoluted arguments in order to justify them? Especially when most people don't seem to agree with or buy into those arguments. - lordmike, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Dugg up for the "Network" movie reference.
- archiesteel, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Reality has a liberal bias.
- Charlotte_Web, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2What the hell are you talking about? Are you making this up?
Fitzgerald knew that Armitage was the leaker because Armitage has been cooperating with the investigation. Armitage even had to get Fitzgerald's permission to make it publicly known that he was the leaker.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Armitage - hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Tony Snow vividly shows how difficult it is to defend the indefensible. Snow can't open his mouth at a press conference anymore without lying.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1They ever had reason?
- keeganspeck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You freaking troll, just shut the hell up!
- WhiteRaven, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Funny how that works... they dig me down but have nothing to say about my point.
- LastVisibleDog, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Facts and reality just confuses the Olbermann Moonbats
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Jesus, how hard is this? That's exactly the point: We don't have the proof because Libby lied to the grand jury. And again, that's why they convicted his ass of obstruction of justice, and why a harsh punishment is entirely in order.
There's a lot of evidence of Cheney's direction of the whole affair, and Fitzgerald was following that trail and trying to nail down the truth with hard proof. Libby (illegally) got in the way of that truth-seeking. This isn't some irrelevant little white lie we're talking about, it's a cover-up.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/06/AR2007030601969.html?nav=hcmodule - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Fitzgerald couldn't pursue a conviction against the "actual perpetrator" in part because of Libby's lying. That's why Libby was convicted of obstructing justice, dumbass.
- Yage2006, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Lynch the whole administration .
- keeganspeck, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1You didn't need to tell us you just joined digg, it's fairly obvious.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Tony Snow is fighting cancer and can't be expected to be on his best game. It's a wonder he showed up at all after being handed a large, steaming pile of crap like the Scooter Libby pseudo-pardon.
- apothekari, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1RESIGN!
- flaknugget, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Why can't a leader answer the people himself.
The idea of a press secretary used to be a new concept not too long ago. Now people don't even seem to mind their elected officials never answering for his own actions and actions. Never even being put on the record.
Thank goodness that is a trend that is fairly unique to America. - keykoo, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I guess its really easy to type the words "resign" on digg versus actually trying to make that come to heed. I think the Internet has made everyone lazier, because I feel like if this was 10 years or 15 year earlier I would see some good old fashioned and efficient protests and assemblies. Please, if you really think Bush has crossed over the line, organize some compatriots, spread the word, actually do something about it.
- katulatakulu, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Best failure to reply to a comment ever.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1You idiots have actually fallen for the idea that there was this single accidental leak, when there was clearly a concerted campaign by the White House (specifically, the Vice President's office) to discredit Wilson by outing his wife. Before Novak's column was published, you had not just Armitage's "accidental" leak, but Rove dropping hints to Cooper and Libby explicitly giving the information to Miller. What's more, it's clear that all of this happened because Cheney set out to discredit Wilson, and ordered Libby to find a way to do it. That's how Armitage at the State Department got involved in the first place, and that's why Rove and Libby were talking to reporters.
Libby's lying to the grand jury effectively closed off the investigative road to Cheney, thus covering up the conspiracy to reveal the identity of an undercover CIA agent for political gain. That's why Libby's sentence has now been commuted-- to reward him for his loyalty and buy his continued silence. - LastVisibleDog, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Olbermann is a complete lunatic - in the realm of lunatics, Olbermann does put Snow to shame
- LastVisibleDog, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1you will be dugg down - facts just confuse the Olbermann Moonbats
- keeganspeck, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1One specific lie: “It’s pretty clear that these things are based on performance and not on sort of attempts to do political retaliation, if you will.” ... *three months later* Responding to this question: “At the beginning of this story, the President, you, Dan Bartlett, others said on camera that politics was not involved, this was performance-based, but –” he replies: “No, that is something — we have never said that.”
A lie about lying about a lie. How's that for one? - hawkeye17, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Dugg down for being totally clueless.
- LastVisibleDog, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1The Left are making complete fools of themselves - this lunatic crap just might lose the House, Senate, and Presidency for the Democrats.
