The Puppet Ticket vs The Maverick Ticket

trustserve.net — Democrats want someone inexperienced in the position of President (B. Hussein Obama), who their party can control with an old Democrat (Joe Biden) as the Vice President. With McCain/Palin history shows neither of them will be controlled by the Republicans. This has its good and bad points - at least the American Public don't get a puppet ticket.

  • DavidHalko, on 09/04/2008, -0/+7I am somewhat surprised few people have been discussing why an inexperienced candidate for President with an experienced Vice President is anywhere similar to an experienced candidate for President with a younger experienced candidate for Vice President.

    I think what the public may be missing is that the Democratic Party may be counting on Obama's inexperience in order to control him via Biden. This makes a large number of Americans nervous.

    The Republican Party may have little control over a McCain & Palin ticket. Of course, this makes a lot of Republicans nervous, although it may offer a sense of comfort to non-Republicans.

Cheney was a poor choice in my opinion and Bush was more of a puppet, everyone telling him what to do. I hope that if McCain-Palin win, that Palin will let the lipstick bulldog, or pit bull inside of her tell McCain that she doesn't support everything he may propose. I think she is a smart lady and I really want to know what her position is on illegal immigration and immigration reform-amnesty.
