The Minimum Wage Increased-Why it doesn't matter
openleft.com — The federal minimum wage just increased to $6.55 / hour on Thursday. While this increase will make a big difference in the lives of millions of people, it still leaves the minimum wage far below where it was in 1968, when the minimum wage reached its peak value in real terms.

- LoneRanger85, on 07/27/2008, -0/+1Actually, an increase in the minimum wage means a lot. It means that the federal government has abandoned all pretense of operating under the Constitution. It also means that more youth will become unemployed because wages have risen above their skill level.
