- onyxcoltrane, on 06/29/2008, -22/+99And Barack is the one that gets attacked as an elitist.
- meese, on 06/29/2008, -13/+80And remember: McCain didn't earn this money through hard work. It's all inheritance money. He's never run a business, unlike, say, Romney, who really did start a successful business to make his money. And he didn't have to work his way up from a lower middle-class background like Obama, who had to take out loans to go to college and law school.
But don't worry, McCain thinks that our economic problems are just psychological. - SRSco, on 06/30/2008, -8/+47John Kerry's residences: http://www.snopes.com/politics/kerry/homes.asp

Just sayin'... - Carv, on 06/29/2008, -6/+44"Obama's the guy at the country club holding a martini..." - Karl Rove
- marabout40, on 06/29/2008, -4/+37He also thinks the last 8 years have been good for Americans.
- mikesbaker, on 06/30/2008, -1/+31they have been great for him
- bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -0/+28Yeah, because those black country club members are EVERYWHERE!
- iceman219, on 06/30/2008, -4/+30It's not like Obama is living in a van down by the river...
- Tripacer9999, on 06/30/2008, -3/+22You're a ***** douchebag.
- inactive, on 06/30/2008, -3/+20And you're an idiot!
- ethornquist, on 06/30/2008, -1/+16John McCain OWNS the country club. He's Judge Smalls in Caddyshack.
- disappointment, on 06/30/2008, -1/+14A+ Trolling attempt
- popstation, on 06/30/2008, -4/+16McCain should be on MTV cribs
- ObamaWins08, on 06/29/2008, -19/+29Yes,he definitely should apologize for being rich...
- Carv, on 06/30/2008, -12/+21No, but he should stop trying to paint Obama as "out of touch" and "elitist".
- JettaMan, on 06/30/2008, -4/+13Is this criticism because he has so many houses? There is nothing wrong with wealth as long as you came by it legitimately! Good for anyone who makes it. If you are jealous, go marry a rich, hot woman. John Kerry married a wealthy woman, though she wasn't very hot.
- Mononuclear, on 06/30/2008, -1/+9I hold my president to a higher standard than a drinking buddy.. Pres. Bush is the kind of guy you can have a beer with and look how that turned out. I hope our next president is someone I couldn't have a beer with.
- SRSco, on 06/30/2008, -8/+16Again...having money doesn't mean you're an elitist. Just because McCain has money, doesn't mean he's automatically an elitist and therefore being a hypocrite.
- sulthernao, on 06/30/2008, -2/+10It's relevant only because they are trying to paint Obama as the elitist when in reality it is clearly McCain.
- badfish0116, on 06/30/2008, -2/+9http://sedulia.blogs.com/photos/everywhere_else/ba ...
Obamas house - disappointment, on 06/30/2008, -2/+9His wife had been doing well.
Not a big deal to have a rich wife, is it? - SRSco, on 06/30/2008, -2/+9Right. He's living in a gated mansion: http://sedulia.blogs.com/photos/everywhere_else/ba ...
- sulthernao, on 06/30/2008, -4/+10Which is why McCain supported the GI Bill...oh wait that's the bill that he thought afforded to much for our men and women and would hurt "retention" rates. Just because McCain "served his country" doesn't mean we should give him a free pass on the millions of dollars he remarried into. Just to be clear, all I'm saying is that you should either criticize his wealth or don't criticize his wealth, but his service in the military should have no bearing on how "okay" it is. Actually, I respect someone like Romney who made his own money rather than Kerry or McCain who married themselves into money.
- muckemuck, on 06/30/2008, -0/+5He wasn't born into it. He dumped his first wife soon after returning from Vietnam and married his second wife who inherited all the money.
This is an attack on the media since they love to point out all the other candidates who are "elitest" but seem to ignore the fact that McCain is loaded and is totally out of touch with the common man. - JasonHears, on 06/30/2008, -1/+6Yeah. Why did we even get rid of the King? He was the most successful and rich person ever, and those stupid revolutionaries and idiot founding fathers thought their modest values were better than the King's. Let's just do away with this whole Democracy BS, anoint GWB King like he wants, and go back to staring at the TV waiting for FOX to tell us how great we all are.
- j.carcinogen, on 06/30/2008, -0/+5Woody Guthrie.
- isiz, on 06/30/2008, -16/+21This submission is pointless...
- mushoo, on 06/30/2008, -2/+7Funny!
Not too long ago you ***** we're bitching about Jonh Edwards' 400 dollar haircut, and you were in the cusp of climaxing all over yourselves as you bitched and ranted about Jonh Kerry and his pimpstress "Mama Ketchup."
You people put those Cirque du soleil contortionist to shame when you start to rant about those communists liburls. - P373Y, on 06/30/2008, -0/+5they would need three shows to get to all of his houses
- bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -1/+6Yeah, I'm sure there was NO pressure for an Admiral's son of an Admiral to join the military.
None at all.
Considering he graduated in the bottom of his class, I assume he didn't join out of "interest". - spinninnzen, on 06/30/2008, -0/+5One: McCain did not "earn" his wealth. He married into it. His wife didn't earn her wealth, she was born into it.
Two: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/communis ... You know, so you might actually have an idea about what you are talking about.
Three: lets be honest, I'm not saying everyone who is rich didn't earn it. But lets not kid ourselves to think that all who are rich also "deserve it"
I don't believe one should tell how one should spend their money either, however if you are running for office then it definitely can bring some insight on how responsible or observant they will be when it comes to spending your tax dollars. Which....actually IS money that you earned. Just a thought. - bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -0/+5You'd do two women at the same time?
- bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4I'm more interested in the tax rate on the house in CA that the McCains couldn't seem to remember to pay the taxes on.
Even at the lowest rate possible, their $6k a year or so in taxes would only cover a house worth about $600,000.
How are they paying $6000 (or so) a year on a house worth over $1 million?
Smells like someone burnt the books while they were cooking. - JasonHears, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4One. One, million dollar home..hahaha.
Two. Two, million dollar home..hahaha.
Three. Three, million dollar home..hahaha. - coolchu001, on 06/30/2008, -2/+6$4.7M is slightly higher than the $350,000??
- meese, on 06/30/2008, -4/+8And both of them were attacked as elitist by the GOP.
Meanwhile, John McCain is attacking Obama as elitist. - ajadoniz, on 06/30/2008, -2/+6obama's black?!
- Olfster, on 06/30/2008, -0/+4Really depends on how that success is achieved. You are born with it, marry into it or achieve it. I prefer the achievers myself. And we all know a qualification for being president is being a POW. Ohh what's that? Someone forgot to tell "no show" George that rule? Then how did he ever become president.
- tehxen3, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3Yeah according to the internets, but in real life things are a little different.
- MasterTroll, on 06/30/2008, -3/+6Weather
- bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5Considering how many people are saying "invest in guns! the only metal worth anything is lead!" and "They want to make Christianity illegal! ", his statement wasn't too far off.
And they're NOT clinging to their guns? Have you heard the big deal being made about the D.C. gun ban being lifted? I guess it was a HUUUGE victory for the David Koresh crowd. Sounds like "clinging to your guns" to me. - bjornski, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3Or his 100% disability, which he's being paid for, which didn't seem to stop him from 8 more years in the military or from holding any other "gainful employment".
And what do you bet he's not refusing to cash those Social Security checks.... - JasonHears, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5Wow. It's great to see the McIdiots have finally begun to understand the power of the world wide web. You've all been pointing your tubes at Digg for awhile now, waiting to pounce on any anti-McCain stories, and digging any anti-Obama ones. There's one main difference though. The people who submit and Digg Obama stories are a disassociated group...meaning we don't make coordinated efforts to submit and Digg Obama and anti-McCain stories. We just do it cuz we're here and see them. You guys are a coordinated group all focusing your efforts to bias Digg. I congratulate you on your somewhat limited success. It's pretty hard to stand fast in a wave of change as it washes the old guard out to sea. Hope you can all swim...
- bradysdaman, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3yes they do deserve better than that. They deserve better than most of those inner city homeless pricks that are just all coked up and thats why they are homeless and jobless. They deserve better than most people standing in the welfare line or receiving food stamps. Our veterans deserve a country that pays respect to what they did for us. You are an ***** for believing anything else.
- themastersb, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5It does when you're a politician.
- Mothrog, on 06/30/2008, -0/+3"Have you heard the big deal being made about the D.C. gun ban being lifted?"
Yeah, people kinda tend to make a big deal when their civil rights finally get lifted after being ignored. Ya know, kinda like in Brown v. Board? - inactive, on 06/30/2008, -1/+4Only rich republicans are elitists.
A rich democrat is okay.
You need to understand the rules. - jonmlm, on 06/30/2008, -4/+7doesn't google earth zoom in more than that? i was expecting to see more detail
- P373Y, on 06/30/2008, -2/+5does he live in 10 large houses worth over a million each
- Louis11, on 06/30/2008, -2/+4And appeal to the idiot demographic.
