- app103, on 09/17/2008, -1/+19One thing nobody seems to remember...Yahoo keeps backups of everything. Deleted isn't deleted forever. If either the hacker or Palin herself, tampered and messed up any evidence, a subpoena to Yahoo for those backups will undo any messing up/covering up.

1. Someone hacked Palin's private Yahoo email.
2. Instead of saving everything or lurking until something juicy showed up they bragged to 4Chan /b/ and posted the password and some random emails and pics as proof (see links).
3. The Yahoo account was manhandled, automatically shut down and now appears to have been deleted.
4. Threads relating to it keep popping up on 4Chan only to 404 as they're deleted.
So all we have is a record of the thread and the innocuous example emails and pics the haxor posted. What it smells like is that she used an outside account to conduct government business in order to circumvent public record archival laws. Although if she sent email to state accounts from her yahoo account, those emails are still public record... which wouldn't make her very smart. It could alsobe she just didn't want to rely on her state government email, or maybe she just likes yahoo. The content and use of her yahoo account wil probably indicate which one it is.

She did, in fact, use gov.sarah to conduct government business, which is a giant issue. The account that was "hacked" was gov.palin, which she seemed to use almost exclusively for personal communications.

This has to do with using her personal email to do official government business in order to circumvent the government from having a record of the official email. In short: its a way for her to cover her ass on the troopergate scandal. All she has to say is "I don't have any official email in my yahoo account, so you cannot search it." And voila, no one will ever know what she said in those emails that should have been done on a government server (this is exactly what Cheney, Rove, and Bush have done and for the same reasons).
You just attacked all of Obama's supporters, especially the ones on Digg. You directly questioned their integrity. If you are worried about integrity, then why aren't you going after Palin for breaking the law and abusing her power? These emails have illustrated that she did in fact use her personal email for official business. Therefore, her email should now be subject to a subpoena so that the truth can come out.
