- TXEET, on 02/16/2008, -0/+0Gary Wood is right on all accounts. Most of the Founding Fathers were Diest, not Christian. They had VERY GOOD reasons for separating Church and State. They were also convinced of the existence of God and the necessity of Devine Assistance for the success of their "Great Experiment" these United States.
Gary is also correct in his implied assertion that the function of Government is not to pass laws and regulations in support of any Religious Agenda. The Tenth Amendment clearly reserves any Authority not specifically granted to the Federal Government to the States and the People.
If The Constitutional Party were aware of and dedicated to returning our country to the Rule of Constitutional Law they would not be so preoccupied with Rowe V. Wade. It does not preclude State or Local Governments regulating, restricting, or prohibiting abortion. (Some other Federal Laws do, but not this one.) This is compatible with a true reading of The US Constitution.
Rowe also has other lesser known but more important provisions. It is the "Emancipation Proclamation" for Women. It contains much of the "Equal Treatment" rulings that other laws are based upon.
