Leaders have been mocked and ridiculed all over the world for any country so it is no different with the US, and its currency is, in fact, still worth something. Its cities and landscape are some of the most beautiful in the world and, in fact, not bleak. Perhaps you've never appreciated the majesty of the rockies, or the sereneness of Lake Tahao. Perhaps you've never seen the deep formations of Carlsbad, or viewed the constant predictability of Old Faithful. You've probably never seen the untamed wild forest of Alaska, the massive redwoods of California, or the soothing beaches of Hawaii. Have you seen the beauty of the blooms in Washinton DC in the spring? Have you experienced the gritty character of New Orleans? The excitement of Las Vegas?

The south, according to Confederate Vice President Alexander H. Stephens, fought to keep slavery ( http://members.aol.com/jfepperson/corner.html ). Nobody fought to free the slaves. They were ultimately freed as an act of punishment on the waring states and not as an act of human decency.
