  • rlray216, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Molly Ivins was a great writer, a lovely woman, and a real Texas liberal Democrat. I was sad as hell to see this news. I met Ms. Ivins in the early 1990's at a book signing, and she was a delight even after dealing with lines of college students all day.

    I understand that one of her proudest achievements was being banned from Texas A&M, which is a notoriously conservative college.

    Rest in peace, Molly - you'll be missed.
