- inactive, on 05/19/2008, -2/+107Talk about desperation.
- lsumed, on 05/19/2008, -2/+93I'm not surprised at all.
- msjentay, on 05/19/2008, -0/+84Why is Clinton continuing to sully this race?
- boiboi, on 05/19/2008, -0/+74"I have no ethical standards." Amy Poehler as Hilary on SNL.
- carnak11, on 05/19/2008, -0/+50Her campaign will do literally anything to put her in the White House, including working behind the scenes to get McCain elected this year so she can return like a bad dream in 2012.
- TheTruthHurts, on 05/19/2008, -3/+43you can read all about him here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haim_Saban and not surprisingly he is a television and media proprietor from Israel
- tcbishop12, on 05/19/2008, -1/+29Well, insiders state there's been laundered payola from the Clinton foundation to certain embedded folks in the MSM all along, so this attempt to buy 2 supers certainly doesn't surprise me either. What would be interesting is to hear about (and we won't - but it would be interesting to know for sure) is the supers who have accepted these Ickes brokered deals and have to keep quiet about it.
- NinjaBoy, on 05/19/2008, -1/+29OK this is a dumb question. But isn't this illegal? I mean giving someone money to change the way they vote. Not just anyone either, but a Superdelegate!
- Gerz1219, on 05/19/2008, -2/+28Because deep down she really believes that she is owed the presidency after waiting her turn and putting up with decades of Republican smear tactics -- and how *dare* Obama come out of nowhere and take from her what she's rightfully earned?
When she formally drops out of the race, she's putting an end to her life's dream. That's why she's staying in as long as she can. Hillary's candidacy is a spectacular public display of grotesque delusion. - nolawi, on 05/19/2008, -3/+29this is ***** amazing! wow
- Gerz1219, on 05/19/2008, -1/+24Unclear. If a bunch of kids are holding elections for treehouse president, it's not illegal for one candidate to offer a pack of jelly beans in exchange for a vote. Since political parties are technically private organizations, primary seasons exist in an uncomfortable middle ground -- they are private in the sense that they are not directly administered by the government, but public in the sense that either a Democrat or Republican will inevitably become president. The FEC doesn't regulate primary season as strictly as general elections for this reason. Superdelegates have never really been in a position to override the pledged delegate leader, so this has never been an issue.
The funny thing is, it's illegal to offer a primary voter cash in exchange for their vote. But it's probably legal to offer a superdelegate money for their vote, and a superdelegate is worth about 30,000 voters. - dilton7, on 05/19/2008, -2/+20Does this explain the 21million in debts ?
- stillcool, on 05/19/2008, -1/+18Wonder how many others their paying off. No wonder why she's broke, and in the hole for 20 million.
- inactive, on 05/19/2008, -0/+15this delegate/superdelegate thing is *****. they leave the REAL decision up to a handful of people whom they can more easily convince or dare i say bribe. its almost like they're afraid the voters themselves might pick the "wrong" person.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -3/+17I say PIN number and ATM machine.
- Schmapdi, on 05/19/2008, -2/+15You know, I've been wondering who these few superdelegates are that Clinton has picked up lately - surely they are smart enough to tell which way the wind is blowing? Maybe we need to cross-reference a list of recent Clinton superdelegates with a list of recent Yaught purchasers.
- Woaz, on 05/19/2008, -2/+14I wasn't aware that she had the funds to bribe superdelegates.
- grlykool, on 05/19/2008, -0/+12So how much did Ben Smith get?
- thepeacemaker, on 05/19/2008, -1/+12I used to wonder what has Israel done (besides bombing our navy ship, spying on us, illegal occupation, etc) that they are our "closest ally and best friend in the world", if our politicians are to be believed. Well now I know - when it comes to our politicians, they simply out-bribe everyone else...
- inactive, on 05/19/2008, -5/+16he uses a mac = must be better than us
- rmxz, on 05/19/2008, -0/+9Perhaps she wants the Republicans to win so she'd have another chance in 4 years; and perhaps she thinks the more she embarrasses the democrats the better chance that'd happen?
- paulvq, on 05/19/2008, -0/+9His company was responsible for bringing Power Rangers to the US.
Childhood me thanks him. Grown up me hates the bribes. - bjornski, on 05/19/2008, -0/+9They've done nothing for us. They're defended because of that damned ancient storybook. And because of WWII, if you don't agree with everything they say, and do everything you can do to help their lives, you're anti-Semitic.
Don't believe me? Ask two of their most vocal mouthpieces.

http://www.debbieschlussel.com/ - Kyan, on 05/19/2008, -2/+11A note to all ObamaMight Diggers: if you want to show the Young Democratss how much you really respect their decision ot not take this alleged bribe, send them a donation. 40,000 people giving 25$ will match the $1m they gave up to save their ethics.
Surely, this can be done as easily as a Ron Paul money bomb. - bjornski, on 05/19/2008, -0/+9Because if she can smear Obama badly enough, and get McCain elected, she'll be able to have her "I told you so" moment, and rally her run for 2012.
- inactive, on 05/19/2008, -2/+10turned down 1mil. Accepted 2mil.
- Spoomeister, on 05/19/2008, -1/+9He reportedly held the pinky of his right hand up to the corner of his mouth, while offering it.
Yes, they could tell, even during a phone conference. - Gerz1219, on 05/19/2008, -0/+8If losing the popular vote by 500,000 votes while winning the electoral college by 200 votes is a mandate, then winning twice as many contests, half a million more votes, and 150 more delegates is a mandate. Obama is 16 points ahead in the latest national poll. Relentless bitchiness is not a viable metric for measuring a mandate.
- kurttrail, on 05/19/2008, -0/+8Better source of info than Fox, NewsMax, WorldNewsDaily, Townhall, the Washington Times....and the rest of the liars of a conservative bent.
- chrissku, on 05/19/2008, -3/+11Yea Hillary that's the way to do it...if you can't beat Obama fair and square try buying your way into the nomination. I can't understand why 60% of Americans think you're untrustworthy?
- Lyk4n, on 05/19/2008, -1/+8Who needs the Clintons any more?
- fluxingtontheIV, on 05/19/2008, -1/+8She's doing it for the single mother who never donates anything but gave her a donation. She's doing it for the little boy who sold his bicycle and all his video games so he could donate. She's doing it for the old lady sitting on her death bed who asks her daughter to get her an absentee ballot.
/sarcasm (it might be needed) - bjornski, on 05/19/2008, -0/+7Israel.
- pintomp3, on 05/19/2008, -0/+7what do you have against worldnetdaily? are you saying soy doesn't make kids gay?
http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=533 ... - atticus8, on 05/20/2008, -0/+7I wish someone asked the more basic question: shouldn't the concept of superdelegates be illegal? Or at least thrown out as total idiocy? I'll not even examine the very obvious question of how you reconcile such a concept in a democracy that tries to convince people that each individual vote matters: "hey buddy, your vote equals a good hundred thousand of us normal folks, because you are just super!" Why not bring back a council of barons and the landed gentry while we are at it?
No, my real problem with it is entirely practical. If superdelegates are just going to go with whatever the people decided the democratic primaries and caucuses, then why have them at all? If superdelegates are NOT going to go with whatever the people decided, then, from what I am hearing on the news and from what I believe in my mind, people will (rightly) go ***** by the fact that the superdelegates overturned the popular will.
But no one believes that is going to happen. That's why everyone feels safe saying "Obama will be the nominee"... because it's so outrageous to be practically unthinkable. So, again, why even have them? - lsumed, on 05/19/2008, -0/+7He won't say.
- Pyehole, on 05/19/2008, -4/+10Pull the stick out of your ass.
- bjornski, on 05/19/2008, -0/+6I read WorldNutDaily.
When I need a laugh. - dsunshine1, on 05/19/2008, -0/+6i hope he didn't sell any good games!
- grlykool, on 05/19/2008, -0/+6At least 20 million in the hole!
- arch3r, on 05/19/2008, -1/+7And who made you the head of the Department of Redundant Redundancies Department? :D
btw: I'm from Jersey, I call it a MAC machine. - Kyan, on 05/19/2008, -3/+8Wow, I thought I'd seen most of the Intertubes' misspelt words. Apparently naught. Thanks, I doug you.
- glucoseboy, on 05/19/2008, -1/+6Who's your Power Ranger baby?
Yes, it's that Saban. - bjornski, on 05/19/2008, -1/+6Citation, please.
Or are you pulling smears out of your ass, as usual? - Schmapdi, on 05/20/2008, -0/+5No he's right, I did butcher yacht for some reason. Guess its just not a word I use often...
- Spoomeister, on 05/19/2008, -0/+5That all depends on what the meaning of the word "sully" is.
- badqat, on 05/19/2008, -0/+5Uh, your understanding of election law is seriously flawed. Superdelegates are nothing more than an internal function in use by Democrats, and are in no way related to federal election laws.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 05/19/2008, -1/+6The guy who made the Power Rangers is trying to bribe Democrats?!?!?
- Gemfinder, on 05/20/2008, -0/+4And the lack of capitalization when using the first person nominative would make him a tin-plated douchebag.
That is all. - dizzythegreat, on 05/20/2008, -0/+4"queer" count: 2
"hippie" used as an insult: yes
grammar: no
internet abbreviation: yes
Wow, according to this, YOU'RE A DOUCHEBAG. Just thought you should know. -
