- inactive, on 06/17/2009, -15/+317Double standard? Naw...
- LouisCipher777, on 06/18/2009, -20/+278partisan politics at its finest. it was the devil when Bush did it but now that it's their guy in the oval office it's all good.
- normlsparky, on 06/18/2009, -6/+244Feinstein is a ***** idiot. Feingold has the right idea - it was wrong under Bush and it's still wrong under Obama.
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -5/+220There is so much wrong with our country.
- louise12345, on 06/18/2009, -11/+187Both Feinstein & Pelosi are both horrible examples of what women can accomplish in leadership roles.
Don't make any waves.
Shut up and follow.
Make it appear like you are outraged then do nothing. - richmomz, on 06/18/2009, -13/+152If there's anyone still out there that isn't clued in to the fact that both parties are batting for the same team then this should settle it.
Those of you still wasting your votes in the two party system are solely to blame - bickering over whether Obama or Bush is at fault for everything that's wrong with our country when it is painfully obvious to any thinking person that BOTH parties are pushing the same agenda. Shame on you! - mrjdavila, on 06/18/2009, -7/+130One day we are going to realize that neither the Blues nor the Reds work for us the regular citizens. They work for themselves and their respective party.
- richmomz, on 06/18/2009, -11/+118'Chains' you can believe in.
- obliviousfool, on 06/18/2009, -11/+113No opposition. We're getting steamrolled by the globalists without anyone to stand up for actual Americans.
- mollydog12, on 06/18/2009, -55/+148how can he possibly make bush look good ? this keeps up they'll be begging bush to come back and clean up barry's mess.
- inactive, on 06/18/2009, -6/+81Odds of being an astronaut: 13,200,000 to 1
Odds of winning an Olympic medal: 662,000 to 1
Odds of an American speaking Cherokee: 15000 to 1
Odds of an American finially realizing that neither Demcrat or Repulican Party actually cares about this country or it's people - let's just say the odds are them same of finding an a Cherokee speaking Olympic medal holding astronaut.. - DangerCollie, on 06/18/2009, -4/+73Anybody have a copy of the new Constitution? The old one is apparently out of date.
- merky1, on 06/18/2009, -13/+82headlines from the party of change....
- DarkShroud, on 06/18/2009, -2/+64What did you expect, Obama voted in favor of the Telecom Immunity bill.
- bcronos, on 06/18/2009, -0/+59Politics makes the porn industry look clean and wholesome...
- kakwakas, on 06/18/2009, -4/+60Gun nut? As soon as I defend the right that the People should be allowed to retain their right to bear arms, I'm "crazy"?
- Barackalypse, on 06/18/2009, -10/+58It stopped mattering when we elected a man that voted to grant the telcom's immunity for doing it. Short of the Supreme Court stepping it to actually force the Government to respect personal liberty, the battle is lost.
- DankNugzPlz, on 06/18/2009, -7/+53Republicans = Democrats, Democrats = Republicans.
They're the same party, it doesn't matter who gets elected. - naderventura, on 06/18/2009, -23/+68Change Dick Cheney Can Believe In*)
- ConcernedCanuck, on 06/18/2009, -11/+55you gotta love that change. Obama knows a thing or two about constitutional law... apparently...
- stukoulak, on 06/18/2009, -2/+45and don't forget the special interests who paid for their election :)
- JimmyTheClam, on 06/18/2009, -35/+75So does this mean Bush WASN'T "Hitler" after all, and all of that hyperventilating prior to the election was just Democratic Party posturing?
History will be much kinder to Bush than it will be to Obama. - roguenkatz, on 06/18/2009, -17/+56'Pubs were warned that this would happen but they wouldn't listen. If you don't want them doin' it to you, you don't do it to them.
- kakwakas, on 06/18/2009, -15/+54Haha, the same ***** that played a major part in the "Assault Weapons Ban" and continues to fight against gun rights comes out with this.
Seriously, democrats, please stop pretending that your party isn't as bad as the republicans. - IgorUnchained, on 06/18/2009, -6/+42I used to kind of chuckle when I would see Bush pull something like this (take your pick) and then claim that it is his executive privilege. At the time, I thought Hillary was a shoo-in for the "left wing distraction" ticket.....and I just imagined the looks on the republican sheep's faces when President Hitlery had the same powers that they had supported a few years earlier.
I wouldnt have voted for Hillary...I didnt vote for Obama.....and Im not smiling now that I get to see the flag wavers crying in their beer. Im too busy crying in my own beer.
This is a game and "We the People" are losing it. - deweyhewson, on 06/18/2009, -3/+39Guess what? I don't own a gun, and I probably never will. I think they are dangerous, and I don't want them around my children.
But I'm as adamant a defender of the Second Amendment as any body. If you will allow yourself to give in to the dishonest fearmongering and let them to take that right, you may as well kiss the rest goodbye. - zephc, on 06/18/2009, -4/+39Is that a bumper sticker yet? Because it really ought to be
- IgorUnchained, on 06/18/2009, -2/+37It took me this far down the page to read a comment that said that outright.
This country is worse off than people think. The "2 Party System" has turned into two puppets on the same set of hands. Obama is Bush Lite.....judge a tree by it's fruit. - liquisoft, on 06/18/2009, -1/+36Awesome.
I'm totally going to wiretap my neighbors now. - mbookmeyer, on 06/18/2009, -2/+34No one else notices they are playing for the same team? There is no separation, there is no difference, they just say different things to get in the White House then do the exact same thing they have been doing. Partisan? No, our corrupt system dysfunctioning... yes... we need a revolution.. back to the Constitution.
- kiwimonk, on 06/18/2009, -4/+35I guess they misunderstood Obama when he said, "I'd tap that".
- soupdawg30, on 06/18/2009, -2/+31I do'n't think any republican is saying they disapprove of it under Obama but not under Bush. What they are saying is why all the hypocrisy?
- theodicey, on 06/18/2009, -0/+29Rush Holt is smart, probably the only guy in Congress capable of understanding internet surveillance. He's also not very partisan and cares about civil liberties. He says the new NSA wiretapping evidence looks bad.
Dianne Feinstein is of average intelligence, a deeply political hack, and has never given a damn about civil liberties. She doesn't see any problems.
I know who I'm going to believe. - DarkShroud, on 06/18/2009, -3/+32That's what happens when you vote for someone without looking at their past history. Specifically their voting record.
- vyhd, on 06/18/2009, -2/+31'Suddenly'?
- chrisinsocalif, on 06/18/2009, -3/+31You can't triple stamp a double stamp! Can not, no erasies!
- richmomz, on 06/18/2009, -1/+27Yes he knows how to get around it quite well it seems...
- breadfred, on 06/18/2009, -19/+44The rePUBlicans are alwys drunk. See what i did there? Stupid name calling is not helping this thread.
- mjbk24, on 06/18/2009, -14/+39Re-read what you wrote and tell me if it makes any sense...
- kakwakas, on 06/18/2009, -4/+29Don't make any waves?
My ***** ass. Look up the Assault Weapons Ban. That ***** made a ***** of waves and everybody followed HER. - MacParrot, on 06/18/2009, -1/+24I get the feeling you don't know who Hitler was or what he did. If Bush had been as bad as Hitler, we'd still have him as President
- Artimusbill, on 06/18/2009, -0/+22Partisan politics is a distraction. They all play for the same team.
- JCPahl, on 06/18/2009, -2/+24Partisan politics is divide and conquer.
- Eorster, on 06/18/2009, -5/+27No one will stand up for US citizens, they have to stand up for themselves. A quarter of them will be in metal roofed shanty towns before they realize Wally World may be cheap but your grand kids will now never have the opportunities your grand parents fought to give to you.
- Doubledown, on 06/18/2009, -5/+26You mean to tell me the people that were elected are no different then the last administration???? I love all the "Change" and "Yes We Can" crap that continues to spew out of people's ignorant mouth
- Silentnite85, on 06/18/2009, -2/+22But my guy was taller. And better looking on camera. Plus he kissed babies, he has to be a good guy. And he made me feel good about myself. The guy played the Sax! He even eats at McDonalds like I do!
What's a voting history?
/s - mlc1138, on 06/18/2009, -0/+20Suddenly?
Court Affirms Wiretapping Without Warrants
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/16/washington/16fis ...
(Yep, the NYT)
It's only illegal when Republicans do it. We should all know that by now. - thegrantman, on 06/18/2009, -2/+21Eric Holder better be careful. As an Attorney General what he says may be construed as a legal opinion.
Andrew McCarthy rejected Obama's invitation to participate in the Presidents' Task Force Of Detention Policy because of just this issue.
"Given your policy of conducting ruinous criminal and ethics investigations of lawyers over the advice they offer the government, and your specific position that the wartime detention I would endorse is tantamount to a violation of law, it makes little sense for me to attend the task force meeting. After all, my choice would be to remain silent or risk jeopardizing myself. - 3The3Dude3, on 06/18/2009, -2/+20Most of the people that are complaining about the wiretapping itself are also indicating that they believe both parties are a farce.
The "neocon" complaint is that the campaign strategy of the current administration heavily relied upon condemnation of specific actions from the prior administration as violations of human rights, privacy, equality etc.. Once in power, rather than end the "injustices" the current administration has continued, (and in some cases) expanded the same practices that they were elected to eliminate.
Nice way to spin it drstock. -
