- ChessPieceFace, on 10/28/2008, -5/+475FTA: "Elborno said even McCain supporters were among those being asked to leave.
“I saw a couple that had been escorted out and they were confused as well, and the girl was crying, so I said ‘Why are you crying? and she said ‘I already voted for McCain, I’m a Republican, and they said we had to leave because we didn’t look right,’” Elborno said. “They were handpicking these people and they had nothing to go off of, besides the way the people looked.”
Smart move there McCain Camp. - niradg, on 10/28/2008, -4/+452So basically they got kicked out because they didn't look like typical Republicans. That's a good way to expand your appeal to new demographic groups, McJackass.
- mrgreen371, on 10/28/2008, -5/+273I could get in, I have a big belly and a beard and I dress like a hick.
- adam1mc, on 10/28/2008, -8/+254The girl was crying because she suddenly realised how much of an idiot she was for actually casting a vote for that Old Fart.
- grlykool, on 10/28/2008, -4/+215This happened to me in 2000. Bush was at our high school and the valedictorian/president of the student council wasn't allowed to attend the rally, bc he was black. Only, the richer white students who were already Republicans were allowed to go. This was before many of us had made up our mind about politics.
- kismetropolis, on 10/28/2008, -7/+159FTA: Despite repeated attempts, McCain’s campaign could not be reached for comment. [/FTA]
Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.
They just won't even talk to the media now unless it's to try to fling more crap at Obama. No comment on Ashley Todd. No comment on the assassination plot. And now no comment on this.
Actions speak louder than words, anyway. Those who have the eyes to see, and the desire to know the truth will take away what they need to from this campaign's feculent tactics. - 5celery, on 10/28/2008, -4/+131McCain claims there would be no litmus test for his supreme court nominees while there is a litmus test to attend his rallies. How the hell was this guy nominated?
- johnnr2, on 10/28/2008, -5/+118Cold.
- tcbishop12, on 10/28/2008, -4/+107Under 30 - they fit the profile.
- imakethenews, on 10/28/2008, -5/+97This must have been pretty embarrassing for these folks who were removed, but nowhere near as embarrassing as it will be for McCain. Congratulations, you just alienated undecided voters between the ages of 18 and 25, a group without which you can not win this election.
- samkityoung, on 10/28/2008, -3/+94Not to make light of the students' experiences, but I'm glad they got to experience profiling from their candidate who espouses profiling.
- Vektuz, on 10/29/2008, -2/+83sounds like they got what they voted for
- tumples, on 10/29/2008, -5/+81Oh my ***** God shut the ***** up. I don't even care that you are trolling, and you are just looking for a reaction. Here it ***** is, to you and to every other ass who spouts crap like this.
You are a xenophobic asshat, you live in a state of fear of other cultures, ideas or people that aren't from the same town as you. You live in a country of self proclaimed freedom, yet actively seek to stop other people seeking civil liberties just because the choices they make are different to the choice you would make, disregarding the fact that you are lucky to have a say in how you live your life, who you get to marry or be friends with, or eat or any of that crap.
He isn't a Muslim, he never was a Muslim, and for ***** sake, why would it matter if he was? There are millions of Muslims, and only thousands of extremists, yet you are so ignorant as to tar the whole religion. Big ***** news, there are Christian fundamentalists who are just as intolerant as the militant Muslims.
I wish you could all just ***** grow a pair and let other people be, and stop jumping on stupid arguments that make no one sympathise to your cause.
*****. - kotn2012, on 10/29/2008, -1/+74Mom?
- kingofinternet, on 10/29/2008, -3/+72mccain said, 'damn kids! get off my lawn... i mean out of my rally!'
- pimpofpixels, on 10/29/2008, -3/+68McCain is afraid of young people.
- MikeMitchell, on 10/29/2008, -3/+66So I'm guessing they weren't fat, white, old and racist.
who would have thought. - savagesteve13, on 10/29/2008, -5/+54yeah right , like the GOP cares. This is the party that is proud to have its supporters screaming "*****" at the mention of the name Obama.
- OptionalPirate, on 10/29/2008, -1/+49Cletus?
- cdigioia, on 10/29/2008, -0/+46Is there any documentation available? I think that could be an incredibly damning news story to the Republican party.
- shutaro, on 10/28/2008, -3/+44They were on his lawn.
- booyahbitch, on 10/29/2008, -9/+50I early voted for OBAMA today...***** McCain!!!
- oldhick, on 10/28/2008, -1/+42Dad?
- Manstitute, on 10/28/2008, -5/+44"Despite repeated attempts, McCain’s campaign could not be reached for comment." - WHOOPS!
- Dustin00, on 10/28/2008, -4/+41Lots of room in the GoP Big Tent, but not quite enough for latinos, blacks, women, 20-somethings, people that use the brain god gave them...
- aspork2727, on 10/29/2008, -0/+37Unnecessary pedo-bear foul.
- LaurenHoleman, on 10/29/2008, -2/+35It's okay, McCain doesn't remember going to the rally either.
- savagesteve13, on 10/29/2008, -2/+35What concerns me is that the McCain camp has a database somewhere and is keeping track of every protester. Very Orwellian, but typical for Republicans.
- bbrigg1, on 10/28/2008, -1/+32Stepdad?
- Grandpohbah, on 10/29/2008, -5/+35I bet they would have let them stay if they were wearing white hoods.
- Mejari, on 10/29/2008, -0/+29Yeah, it's this that will break his support among 18 to 25 year olds. Before this he was killing in that demographic.
/s - Dauntless1, on 10/29/2008, -3/+31Damn! You're Right! Exercising her right to free speech makes her a threat to republicans! How could we not have seen?!
- Dauntless1, on 10/29/2008, -0/+28Ok. So what I've seen of McCain's economic policy is Tax less, Spend More. Explain to me how this balances a checkbook?
- inactive, on 10/28/2008, -5/+31yea agree with the guy above. Under 30 and with a head on their shoulders and not the stick of ***** that the "base" has. Trouble makers in the making I tell you! Damn whipper snappers!
http://anncoulterisaretard.com/ - motagua, on 10/29/2008, -3/+28What makes me mad is the fact that they kicked out at least one person that already voted for McCain. I bet that person wishes she had a time machine.
- NickFrenzy, on 10/29/2008, -1/+25This is utter *****. Screw McCain. I'm going to take his sticker off my car and I'm voting for Obama.
- AugustusOsari, on 10/29/2008, -2/+26You say that anything other than complete independence is a bad thing.
At the same time, you use the word "our."
Try again, dumbass. - okitasan, on 10/29/2008, -1/+23‘I already voted for McCain, I’m a Republican, and they said we had to leave because we didn’t look right,’” Elborno said. “They were handpicking these people and they had nothing to go off of, besides the way the people looked.”
owned in so many ways... - inactive, on 10/29/2008, -2/+24So what you're saying is, because she had exercised her political voice, she deserved what she got? Because she actually gave a ***** about the state of this great country of ours, she earned the privilege to be booted out? Is this what the McCain campaign is selling now? "I only want the support of idiots who can't think for themselves"?
- morningchaser, on 10/29/2008, -10/+32Hmm yeah.. I googled the name "Lara Elborno," and the result is mainly anti-war protest images, articles, and/or Obama support links... plus this article about Lara Elborno being part of a wave of student for Iowa University, protesting at a Sarah Palin rally... If she is already documented September 20, 2008 for heckling at a McCain-Palin rally, she'll sure get kicked out again.
If she's anti-war, and obviously anti-Palin-McCain, what would she be doing at the rally anyway? - schmitey, on 10/29/2008, -4/+26In other news, college students are voting for Obama in ever increasing numbers...
- andrew522, on 10/29/2008, -0/+21you obviously don't understand the context of this bear.
so,
please don't use it. - emotecontrol, on 10/29/2008, -4/+25ROFL. Oh, geez. I'm hurting here. No more! LOL
I love it. Absolutely love it. You think that perhaps those idiot kids who early-voted for McCain are having some too-late second thoughts about the sort of people they're throwing their support at? Perhaps they're feeling betrayed? Perhaps they're starting to realize what everyone with an IQ over 70 knows already?
Oh god, my ribs are hurting. You Americans are so damn funny. Keep it up! - JSTEENBERGEN, on 10/28/2008, -1/+21great, that means i would be let in too. i guess i'll have to go on a diet and lose the beard. maybe i'll just switch to a handlebar mustache.
- slifty, on 10/29/2008, -5/+25Gosh I think some people just can't be pleased... Kerry was a giant douche.
Obama? you ACTUALLY think he is a douche? You must not like many people. - inactive, on 10/29/2008, -0/+19Sadly, his competition was even dumber than him, that's how. Seriously, Republicans - I know I often have harsh words for you, but for *****'s sake, get your party straightened out. America misses having real conservatives.
- Quaterni0n, on 10/29/2008, -1/+20Buried as dumbass!
- EarlOfLade, on 10/29/2008, -4/+22Well, now we at least will know the number of voting morons in USA.
If you are voting for McCain/Palin, you are basically telling me you are an uneducated brainwashed moron, so I look forward to seeing the actual number. - Mejari, on 10/29/2008, -0/+18I'm not voting for Obama because he is promising to give me something (in fact, my taxes will probably go up under an Obama administration), I'm voting for Obama because he is promising to help Americans get things for themselves. Despite your blanket assumption, Obama supporters are not welfare-collecting lazy-ass good-for-nothings.
- Dauntless1, on 10/29/2008, -0/+18At his age McCain should be grateful to get either one.
