I cannot imagine what further humiliation this poor girl had to go through in the course of multiple trials to get to this ruling. This girl and her parents deserve the highest praise for their perseverance in pursuing this case. The school officials should be declared sex offenders, imprisoned, fined, and fired for these acts. When is a strip search of a juvenile ever justified?

I loved the part where the Vice Principal was financially liable with no immunity. I hope he loses everything.
What he did to that poor girl isn't much less than rape. Stripping her of her dignity and sense of security.
These oppressive control rules injected into our schools is nothing but submission training for our young people.
It's really quite sickening that the court was divided on the ruling, but the fact that 5 of them thought it was OK to treat this girl this way speaks volumes to what we have rescinded into.

Humiliating, unnecessary, offensive...yes. But sexual, no. We already throw around the sex offender label way too casually. Who in their right mind would strip search a 13 year old (a girl no less) unless they had no other choice. Keep the kid under watch and call the parents for ***** sake.

Where over-the-counter pain medicine is considered a hard drug, and the school authorities rule with a totalitarian attitude. I don't know who to blame...but American schools have been on the decline since at least Columbine. Heaven forbid a student have medicine for their headache or menstrual cramps. I'm sure this was a unique situation of power abuse, but hopefully Karma will rear it's big dick and ***** the vice principal in the ass. No child should have to undergo a strip search over some over-the-counter medicine. And, no girl should have to undergo a strip search by someone of the opposite sex who isn't a police officer.
