- CCoburn3, on 07/29/2008, -1/+1Yet another crackpot libertarian. I stopped being a libertarian when I realized that these people are nothing but children. They believe in Santa Claus.
You see, they believe that somehow or other the world is going to change & we'll all play nice -- without anyone doing any work to bring about this turn of events. It's the political equivalent of the "free lunch".
Actually, they are a lot like communists. Communism depends on a miracle. There are evil and greedy people in the world (the capitalists) who oppress the rest of the people (the proletariat). But then the revolution happens and nobody is ever evil and greedy again. A story for children -- and imbecilic children at that.
But it's better than the libertarian story. People & governments use force to coerce their fellow man. Then somehow without anyone doing anything, people suddenly stop coercing people. And to make the story even more unbelievable, it happens all over the world at the same time. (If it didn't, the non-libertarians would coerce the libertarians. Imagine Poland becoming a land of libertarians and doing away with its government & army while Germany & Russia did not. Anyone want to take bets on how long Poland would last?)
If you believe the libertarian nonsense, then you're stupider than the communists. At least the communists were willing to DO something to achieve their utopia. They were willing to fight a revolution. But these libertarian idiots aren't even willing to go to the polls and vote.
Did I say that they were children? I take that back. Even children can see that the libertarians are nuts.
