COLBERT FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! - vfreedom, on 10/26/2007, -36/+275Ron Paul is officially DEFEATED!
- kevxross, on 10/21/2007, -3/+222Well he just announced on his show (since he was waiting to do it on a more prestigious show) that he's going for it. Only in SC though. This will be fun to follow.
- suxmonkey, on 10/26/2007, -27/+230I'd prefer Jon Stewart for pres, Colbert as VP
- Neo189, on 10/26/2007, -3/+196Whatever happens, this will probably be one of the most interesting elections any of us will ever see in our lifetimes.
- yomamaisfat, on 10/26/2007, -6/+179If only we could vote for president on the internet.
- TheMean, on 10/20/2007, -14/+140So, will he be... man of the year?
- cambrown99, on 10/25/2007, -4/+129Elect the Cheerleader--Save the World
- Sil369, on 10/26/2007, -1/+120Wait, on Larry King Live, he talked about the Stephen Colbert character and the Stephen Colbert himself. Who would become President? His chracter? Or his actual self? (really, I'm curious)
- spancho, on 10/21/2007, -9/+127His run for president is extremely interesting. Because he is the first of his kind, and because he knows exactly what he's doing, Mr.Colbert has been given a unique position. He is going to make a big slash. . . .
I'll vote for him! - wreckosaurus, on 10/21/2007, -5/+94Damn, I've never seen a thread get dugg up so fast
- cambrown99, on 10/19/2007, -3/+67I was freaking out when I looked up and saw my bumper sticker design being cut up by Stephen on National TV!!! I'll have to get to work tomorrow adding Huckabee, Putin, and Colbert in as running mates.

- RxDaniel, on 10/20/2007, -3/+61Wait, if he becomes president does that mean no more Colbert Report? I don't know if I can support that.
- f4nt0m4s, on 10/19/2007, -2/+59Colbert for president... John Stewart ripping apart Tony Snow, bless comedy central for playing two shows with balls.
Colbert has my vote! - clearwaterlab, on 10/19/2007, -7/+59COLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERTCOLBERT
- iamtehwinnerz, on 10/23/2007, -7/+571,000,000 Strong for Stephen T Colbert Facebook group: Goal, 1 million by the end of the week, invite EVERYONE and obliterate Obama's 1,000,000 group
http://hs.facebook.com/group.php?gid=7406420086&re ... - Shorties, on 10/23/2007, -46/+94How bout a Colbert-Paul run. (Paul as Vice President)
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -12/+55"He is going to make a big slash."
In Australia, "taking a slash" means doing a *****. I laughed at your unintentional humour! - DontEatTheFish, on 10/18/2007, -4/+40need to make new wikipedia entry... Stephen Colbert WILL be president(just like those African elephants that doubled in 2 years...)
- otatop, on 10/21/2007, -5/+40Two doctors running together? What better way to heal America!
- darnit, on 10/19/2007, -4/+37Colbert / Stewart 08!
- tjordan83, on 10/22/2007, -0/+32I would love to see him in some presidential debates.
- Spo8, on 10/20/2007, -3/+34Not to mention the truthiest.
- SuperMoses, on 10/18/2007, -2/+32Dude, the whole world is hoping he's serious.. don't ruin it.
- dinostabOMG, on 10/19/2007, -1/+31(psst- in high schools, there are often "mock" events, which means that the students simulate running for office, putting on a trial, the UN General Assembly, etc. It doesn't mean that they're mocking the event.)
- somespecial, on 10/26/2007, -2/+31But, I'd miss his show
- grapesofbaath, on 10/20/2007, -3/+32Well, at the very least he's joking about running in both the Republican and Democratic primaries, because you can't do both. I seriously doubt he's going to do it. It would be great if he did join just the Republican ticket, I'm sure he'd be able to get enough signatures to get on the ballot.
- DiggMasterJ, on 10/22/2007, -3/+31Oh how fickle the internets be!
- Shawn4168, on 10/19/2007, -1/+29Last time I checked, Colbert doesn't take politics seriously either.
- KittySpark1es, on 10/26/2007, -7/+34Looks like I have my backup candidate if Ron Paul drops out.
- Balcifer, on 10/18/2007, -2/+29Exactly.
- inactive, on 10/21/2007, -2/+28Who?
- Fragowell, on 10/21/2007, -3/+27I think the people who like the idea of him running and would vote for him are the ones that get that it's satire.
- DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -2/+25HAHA, this is going to be awesome. My bet is that Stephen is probably only going to run in South Carolina, where he expects to lose the primaries. Let's face it, he's not being serious in attempting to become president. He's much smarter than that. Its another one of his viral campaigns, where he reaches outside his show to involve his viewers (i.e. wriststrong, OOPS JEW, I Am America, etc)
I think he just wants to do the ultimate political prank, where he actually gets to be on the same stage with other candidates AS a candidate! Its brilliant! I wouldn't be surprised if he roasted them all during debates like the correspondence dinner. This thing has probably been planned for a while.
I can't wait, this is going to be an experience of a lifetime!
(If you have any other theories, please comment) - shak3, on 10/17/2007, -3/+24HES DOING IT!
- sgglynn, on 10/18/2007, -1/+21The Terminator
- mrASSMAN, on 10/17/2007, -1/+21Man oh man, this man is soaring to the top. From a reporter on the daily show, to the president of America.
- Durinthal, on 10/26/2007, -1/+21That was a horrible movie. They tried to turn what should have been a straight-up comedy into a dramatic movie and ended up failing miserably at both.
- Tamriel, on 10/19/2007, -2/+22...me.
- dtraneighty8, on 10/07/2008, -1/+21AND in the election!
- Ludnix, on 10/19/2007, -1/+20He could still have his show, like Hugo Chávez of Venezuela.
- roystgnr, on 10/20/2007, -1/+20You're just saying that because you don't know about the robot and cyborg candidates of 2044 yet. The Robot Party has pledged not to kill all humans, but only time will tell whether they can deliver on their promises.
- Ludnix, on 10/19/2007, -1/+20The president of Venezuela has his own show, Colbert could do even better.
- mesmeriffic, on 10/18/2007, -0/+19In America we don't have pisses, we TAKE THEM!
- ahoyhoy, on 10/18/2007, -0/+19Apparently you would vote for him twice.
- drakenlot, on 10/18/2007, -1/+19Either one would be better than anything actual politicians can do.
- CobolNoFun, on 11/02/2007, -11/+29first of his kind? Ronald Reagan was pretty similar
- Ramble, on 10/17/2007, -3/+20The the UK taking a slash means having a piss.
