- brad3378, on 06/21/2008, -0/+4As a homeowner working in another state (with a Michigan Mortgage and a rent payment elsewhere) I can't tell you how frustrating the economic situation is back home. It is amazing how a few bad choices made by a select group of Automotive industry executives can trickle down through the economy into totally different sectors. When you buy an American car, that money circulates back and forth many times through various automotive part suppliers, restaurants, local governments, etc. I can't verify my claims, but I once heard that every dollar spent in the US auto industry circulates through the economy 9 times.
I can't force anybody to buy an American car, but I humbly request that if you're shopping for one please at least take a look at your choices. Maybe if the economy improves back in Detroit, people like me will move back and free up our positions in other states. - Kirly, on 06/21/2008, -0/+3the woman in that video is overweight.
