- MovieWallpaper, on 08/26/2008, -2/+18You've heard Ted Kennedy's courageous and impassioned speech over and over because he hasn't given up trying to maneuver through muck of racism and corruption from the republicans and the ignorance of the republican sheep who think that just because they vote for some well connected village idiot from Texas (actually it's Connecticut) that they are a member of some elite clan.
This is the fantasy that so many people have been living: to think that their uneducated, poverty entrenched existence, that is propped up upon the crutch of religion, has improved with Bush and every other republican. How can you people not realize they are taking money out of future generations' pockets for their personal gain (Bush, Cheney, Rove, etc. not you) while our bridges collapse, levees break and the dark skinned people you are so afraid of are abandoned after Katrina. And as evidenced from this American Republican Fantasy and these posts, education is harder to obtain.
Ted Kennedy, with all his money and connections, has shown compassion for the average American, not bigotry, racism, sexism and homophobia. Try to look these words up war mongering republicans, you'll find them in the mirror. - tcbishop12, on 08/26/2008, -2/+16Alapoet's article is an excellent tribute to the courage, conviction and passionate commitment of Sen. Kennedy. And the Senator's speech last night -- in light of all the circumstances under which he gave it-- was moving, extraordinary and unparalleled in modern times.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -2/+15If we All tried to be more like Ted Kennedy,America and her people wouldn't have the trouble we face now.
- inactive, on 08/26/2008, -2/+5So why didn't you listen?
Instead the GOP has gone failure after failure, lie after lie.
Oh, lies and failure is what you are looking for in the leadership of the US? You WANT people who will lie to America to start wars that plunge our nation into debt?
Gee, maybe you ought to have LISTENED at some point.
It's almost like you are proud to be so ignorant and proud to be cheering for lies and failure.
Now, perhaps you'd like to explain YOUR fantasy?
You know, the one where the GOP HASN'T turned everything they touch to *****. That fantasy you have where the PRESIDENT doesn't LIE to America. That fantasy where America doesn't murder innocent brown people on the other side of the planet.
Basically you seem to have your head so firmly up your ass that you forgot it can come out.
Hey, I didn't know alapoet had his own site.
Do you know him, pn? I respect the guy for his honesty and integrity.
What do you respect the GOP for? - pnkearns, on 08/26/2008, -14/+4Extraordinary speech? I guess if you are part of the Democratic faithful, it was "extraordinary". The rest of us have heard the same speech from Ted before, and before, and before, and before, for the last 40 years.
Enjoy your fantasy it was a extraordinary. - pnkearns, on 08/26/2008, -14/+1I wish Ted Kennedy a long life. I also wish politically Ted Kennedy and the entire Kennedy clan gone.
