It's not very likely that any hybrid motor and battery system could handle both the weight and stress of pulling such a heavy vehicle, and I doubt it would be up to the performance specs necessary for a some of the maneuvers necessary in the event of an emergency.

    This just about sums up the perception of diesel fuel in america. CNN are suggesting because diesel is more expensive, that it cant be economy. The most average to drive economical cars in the world are diesels.... achieving average figures that petrol pumpers could only dream of.

    Still amazed CNN would come out with it.

    No one ever said it had a hybrid drivetrain. The use of 'hybrid' was a reference to the car taking on design elements from a number of different Cadillac models.
