- zaffa, on 10/31/2007, -5/+59This is far better than the first one.
- FreezerBurn, on 10/30/2007, -2/+29Much better!
- stephanierelfe, on 10/31/2007, -0/+23Wow! The second ad is truly first rate.
The first one was so very bad. The opening comment was "I don't always agree with Ron Paul". Yikes!!! I have had that comment going on and on in my head since then!!! TV ads are all about anchoring. It MUST be positive, positive all the way. It's what it does to one's subconscious as well as to the rational mind. It's very good that they corrected their ad so quickly. I hope they don't run the first one at all.
And this campaign is about RON PAUL. People need to see HIM talk. So people can see that he is honest and strong, which they did in #2.
The anchoring of the second ad with the constitution is terrific. The lighting and makeup and soft focus filter are great. The dark, corporate background is perfect.
Ron Paul's energy is right on. He projects big time!!! He holds himself excellently. One really GETS his message right in the chest - KABOOM!!!
And the words are perfect. As Jay Abraham says (he is paid ridiculous money for advising on marketing - something like $15,000-$30,000 an hour I think) - always go for the UNIQUE SELLING PROPOSITION.
And Ron did that. He said WHY he is unique, specifically. None of the second rate political zombies can come near him. We hope they keep up the fantastic work!!! - WestonP, on 10/30/2007, -1/+23I'm glad to see this. A candidate who focuses on a positive and honest message can really win people over. A good example of this is Denver's mayor... he was just a entrepreneur who most people hadn't even heard of, but he ran a positive campaign with no attack ads on the other candidates, and he became very popular and won by a landslide.
- RajMahal77, on 10/30/2007, -2/+23Now this is exactly what the campaign needs and it's a WHOLE lot better than the last one that they put out. It was clear, concise, and honest about some of the major reasons that he should be president. Good job, you guys!

- TexBen84, on 10/30/2007, -0/+13I was packing my bags to move to leave the country after the last one, but this one changed my mind :) .
- soulmantim, on 10/30/2007, -3/+16There's a pretty big movement going on, it goes beyond just Ron Paul.
People are sick of incumbents and want a government that adheres to the constitution.
Congress will fall in line when they find that if they try to pass anything that is unconstitutional they will be not be VETOED but also held accountable by the people. - chrisconlin, on 10/30/2007, -1/+13i have to agree with Bangor on this one. i thought the 1st add was very disappointing. the entire ad seemed very forced and manipulated to me. i have not seen the 2nd one yet, I hope it is better than the first.
- mntalkase, on 10/30/2007, -0/+12Phew... I hope they don't spend a penny of running that old ad on TV. This one is much much better.
- buckybadger9876, on 10/30/2007, -1/+12For all the people who are asking to stop calling HQ:
I understand that they are busy, but i disagree with asking people to stop voicing their opinion. The movement is BASED on people who speak up. Just don't alienate the driving force behind the movement is all i'm saying. The truth is that a lot of the you tube videos are better than that first one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLBI35aswAM and they get the same message across. It's just not smart to quiet those who have helped make Ron Paul into a first tier candidate. Call us internet 'kooks' or whatever, but without the viral buzz he'd be no better than gravel or kucinich. No good can come from alienating this demographic, and this demographic likes to speak their mind. We are all under the impression that this is not a members only campaign, but one that is by the people and for the people. And sometimes the people can be obnoxious, but that's okay.
Go Ron Paul - Mandrik, on 10/29/2007, -1/+12So much better. Thanks!
- Franky66, on 10/30/2007, -0/+11I Love it...were gong all the way....MSM help or not! Revolution Ron Paul 2008

- bill66, on 10/30/2007, -0/+9Ron Paul needs to emphases FREEDOM and the CONSTITUTION but the second ad is much better.
- buckybadger9876, on 10/30/2007, -0/+9This one is much better but can we get a combo of both? (i don't mean the bad acting) Real supporters talking about Ron Paul as well as Ron Paul talking himself??
Still, MUCH better. - keithlb, on 10/30/2007, -1/+10Much better ad compared to the first one. It's always better to have the candidate speak directly to camera/voters than it is to have bad actors speaking to nowhere. Burn that first ad and hope it never again sees the light of day.
- apc3161, on 10/29/2007, -2/+10Exactly what soulmantim just said. If Ron Paul was to get elected into office, in my opinion it would be a big wake up call. Congress would realize that everything unconstitutional might get vetoed. And since someone who is very pro-constitution would have just got elected into office, they would be worrying about their own skins in the next election if they were to deviate from a pro-constitution voting record.
- kfsaaa, on 10/30/2007, -0/+8Great video - allows viewers to see Ron Paul. Good message for just 30 seconds, even adds a mention of the dollar! Remember to donate this November 5th at: thisnovember5th.com
- NightVortez, on 10/29/2007, -0/+8This one defiantly made up for the last one, really speaks to the viewer.
- TMoultrie, on 10/30/2007, -0/+8Ad #1 Stinkerunny Ad #2 Muuuuuch Better!!! Ron is credible. How about a "Freedom is popular" Please please DO NOT RUN ad #1!!!
- Sclorch, on 10/29/2007, -0/+8This ones perfect, good job Ron Paul!
- cmapes2, on 10/29/2007, -0/+8Thank god, this one is much better then the last commercial. I was seriously stressing out there for a while.
- bliss12897, on 10/30/2007, -0/+8To the powers that be,,,Thanks for listening!!!,,this is so much better!!!
- safffff, on 10/30/2007, -0/+7Smart use Ron Paul to sell himself that's what got me
- music4mic, on 10/30/2007, -0/+7This is better, but I agree with what someone else said...part of the excitment for me is hearing Dr. Paul talk about the consitution. The first speech of his I watched, that was the first thing he said and it "got me." In my opinion, the talk of the consitution and the excitement of people surrounding Dr. Paul really "sells."
- noztnac, on 10/30/2007, -0/+6It is much better that the first one but- The bluescreen looks a bit hokey. And all of that black at the bottom looks bad. They should use a real background. I would also prefer that he cut to the chase. His key problem is that people who supported going into Iraq feel like they can't vote for him. He needs to give them a way. He needs to say, "Look even if you supported going into Iraq you must now realize that we have removed Saddam Hussein from power. It's time for the Iraqis to decide what sort of nation they will become. It's time for us to bring the troops home to defend our borders.
We can save trillions by pulling out of Iraq and we can spend that money at home on our own citizens. - Burnse, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5Ron Paul for President people.... He's the man!!
- Framlingham, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5way better as an add. I loved the Constitutional backdrop. "We are the People," and we support Ron Paul. Return our Constitutional liberties, stop policing the world, and spend our money on improving the United States as a nation. The help we should be giving the world is food and aid., not bombs and death.
- stealthc, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5I love how quickly he gets to the point in this one. Welfare/Warfare State is unsustainable. Warfare is the easiest to cut, and the money we could save in cutting it will allow us to come down gradually from the Welfare. Damn good plan if you ask me. And it's a unique selling point.
- charliehorse2, on 10/30/2007, -0/+5Most of the low poll results for Paul are I think possibly because they are using old registered republican voters list to call with and Paul isn't even on the list of candidates you can choose from on some of the polls. These voters would have had to have voted in the primaries to get on these list the pollsters use, so that may be a pretty untypical selection of status quo Republicans where as the average Republican voter may be a lot more flexible and open minded. So how accurate can these polls be if Paul isn't even on the list of candidates in some of these polls? These polls are great propaganda tools for the neo con fascism but that is about it.
25% of young people voting age up to 29 years old don't have land lines so they can't be polled, most of these would probably be Paul voters since he has a lot of support from young voters. Independents and some Democrats are registering Republican to vote in primaries this is where Paul has a lot of support and then there are people like me who vote Republican but we are against the war that could be where Paul is getting his 5-7% in these polls. And look who is the most popular of all the liberal Giuliani what a joke the Republican party has become. In fact Republicans haven't had any good leadership for a long time. - ChimpFlix, on 10/30/2007, -1/+6"Ad", short for advertisement. Not "add", which may be short for "addition".
- vat0r, on 10/29/2007, -0/+5You can bet your ass that if the nation gets behind Ron Paul the Congress and Senate will get behind the nation. It is us after all who elect them in the first place.
- phoobaar, on 10/29/2007, -2/+7Much better than the first one. Now just wipe the excess makeup from his face, and give him a few more takes so he has a chance to relax. It looks like people were behind the camera checking their watches, making him afraid to waste a moment of studio time.
- vat0r, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4That's why freedom kicks ass!
- ZWarren69, on 10/29/2007, -4/+8The income tax doesn't fund ANYTHING you think it does.
- soulmantim, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5ncairns = usual troll
I've seen you before dude, don' you have some spam to paste here about some more misinformation or something?
Why don't you listen to the man, he's not going to get rid of Medicare and SS immediately but to work to eliminate it gradually. - phoobaar, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4There's a good chance I've given more to the Paul campaign than whoever just arbitrarily dugg me down.
- vat0r, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5I think you're dead wrong. If you don't have to work six months to pay off the government then just imagine what you could afford. Why is everyone so afraid to just be honest. Our Government is out of control and we need a new direction.
- phoobaar, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4No, even "older people" were laughing at the first ad. Remember, the baby-boomers are beginning to retire, and they were young in the '60s. These are the kids from Woodstock, not some dowdy, unhip demographic.
I see no valid reason to digg down "bangor's" comment. It seems like a heartfelt and legitimate concern. - marhlfld, on 10/29/2007, -0/+4Yay! Much more better!
- apc3161, on 10/29/2007, -1/+5Ncairns I would say you are dead wrong on both social security and medicaire.
With regard to social security, do you understand how terrible the returns are on that program? I've read certain economic papers that have gone as far to say that if you were to take the money going into S.S and put it into the private sector, you would be seeing about a 6 fold increase on your returns versus what you get through S.S. S.S is a scam, the government forcefully takes money from you and gives it to the current beneficiaries. However, if you were to just invest that money yourself in standard 5% CD's, you would be so much better off.
Of course, all of that is assuming that we will get our S.S money back when the time comes, however this probably wont happen. So were are never going to see this money again, it has simply been taken from us and we will never benefit from it.
The solution is to let people get out of the system as I would like to do, and cut other wasteful programs to assist those that are unfortunately currently dependent on the system.
And pretty much everything I just said for S.S can apply to health care as well. If the government was to get out of healthcare, its true there wouldn't be "government health insurance" but at the same time the HMO's and health care lobbyists couldn't rely on the government to pass laws that were in their benefit and anti-competitive. Have you seen the figures that the HMO's, hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies spend every year lobbying congress? You don't think they are doing this if they aren't getting a good return on their money do you? They get laws that benefit them, hamper competition, and screw over the average patient. My dad is a doctor (has been for 40+ years) and every day growing up he has done nothing but complain about how the government is driving up costs and ruining healthcare.
What makes you think the government is capable of these important things? They arent! They are elected officials. Some of them have degrees in art history, what makes you think they are qualified to run social security investment accounts of government healthcare? They simply arent trained for it. That is one of the drawbacks of a democracy. As such, you should try to keep the government out of our lives because they are simply not capable. People should take responsibility for their own lives, people know how to spend their own money better than elected bureaucrats - fokinsickntired, on 10/29/2007, -0/+3It got buried at around a 130 diggs . . . was at the top of What's Hot in 2008 Election and then got disappeared . . . You know, if all the Ron Paulers got together and buried every story on Digg, what do you think would happen?
- inactive, on 10/28/2007, -6/+9But of course. Anything about Paul is spam, right?
Or is that your narrow mindedness showing through?
He posted this first. -
