Sean Hannity: "Liberal" Halloween Teaches Kids to Ask for Handouts
mediamatters.org — On the October 31 edition of Fox News' Hannity & Colmes, co-host Sean Hannity claimed that “Halloween is a liberal holiday” and “is teaching our kids to be liberals.” Hannity explained that “we’re teaching kids to knock on other people's doors and ask for a handout.”

Who makes this crap up?
- dafragsta, on 11/07/2007, -2/+72Stephen Colbert... and then Hannity steals it. It's like watching a Borat bait an interviewee across two separate shows on two networks.

- Drahkar, on 11/03/2007, -0/+15I'm still trying to figure out how people like Hannity stay on the air. I'm all for opposing viewpoints. But people like Hannity and Bill O'I'msofullofmyself do nothing to actually help any situation. They just going around complaining and arguing and trying to make people look bad. Its one thing to point out a problem. But if you only want to try and insult people why should we bother listening to you. especially if you aren't willing to listen to anyone else?

Welcome to the US, the information booth is to your right. There you will find information on how the Republican Congress and Bush Co over the last 6 years has managed to run up the largest deficit ever in US history. How they also managed to outspend almost every administration prior, while managing to limit more rights as well. And while spending so much, you will also learn that the ROI on that investment was essentially 0.
Again Welcome, and enjoy your stay.
Oh please leave all Neo-con, Extreme Right-wing, Zionist agenda pamphlets in the waste bin as you exit.- m0tbaillie, on 11/03/2007, -4/+1Nice post, but shouldn't it be "please leave all neo-con, extreme right-wing, Zionist agenda pamphlets in the waste bin as you *enter*" ?
- Bdog2g2, on 11/03/2007, -3/+2Your point is well taken. But I was taking it from the context of exiting a plane or boat. I can, however, see how that part was a little misconstrued.
- Nichevo, on 11/03/2007, -6/+3I notice everyone seems to think I am a conservative when I point out anything about the libs, and likewise when I do the opposite. It must be wonderful to live in your two color simplified universes.
The truth is I hate both the Libs and the GOP, I hate the latest batch of neocon liberals the worst of all.
But continue, please, paint me however it suits you. I know it would overwhelm your minds to realize that there is more to it than the 'left' and 'right' "choices" which you have presented(as the only ways).- Bdog2g2, on 11/03/2007, -1/+3Hate to smear your masterpiece, but when you paint with the 'liberal' and 'conservative' brushes you aren't exactly painting with a rainbow of colors.
- cherwilco, on 11/03/2007, -2/+6you may not be trying to be a neocon, but you are indeed a neocon. kind of a dick too to say something like this:
"Liberals use the government to steal from people, they don't ask."
kind of rightwing extremist dontcha think? (you DO think, don't you?)
- bluezinc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2Ahem, take out the "almost" from "outspend almost every administration prior" and you're right. Bush has spent more money than every other president combined. $1.04 trillion is quite a lot of bank.
- m0tbaillie, on 11/03/2007, -4/+1Nice post, but shouldn't it be "please leave all neo-con, extreme right-wing, Zionist agenda pamphlets in the waste bin as you *enter*" ?

Thanks Sean Hannity, I needed a laugh.- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -2/+22I'm waiting for Hannity to just fart into the Mic, and then ask Colmes; "Well, what do you wimpy Liberals have to say to THAT?"

- buildbyflying, on 11/03/2007, -0/+6 pretty f-ing funny really. Could have been a colbert joke if it wasn't serious.
- yarukizero, on 11/04/2007, -1/+7It *was* a Colbert joke, earlier this week. It's like Colbert's parody and the reality he's making fun of are starting to converge. Did someone divide by zero?

- ZenMojo, on 11/03/2007, -0/+3Hannity really brightened my day. Just when I thought the Right knew something that I didn't, this douche's mouth opens and I'm warmed by my own self-righteousness.
- IrishJoe, on 11/04/2007, -7/+203Doesn't Christmas teach our children that someone will give them presents just like big government giving them welfare? Maybe Sean wants us to stop celebrating Christmas, too. It might surprise Hannity (who is of Irish descent--to my deep embarrassment), that Halloween is an Irish holiday that celebrated the end of the Celtic year and the beginning of the next which starts November 1. I guess Hannity's Irish ancestors were all liberals. Sorry, Sean (Irish for John).
- derforseti, on 11/06/2007, -4/+91There you have it: conservatives hate jesus. Healing the sick and caring for the poor is only encouraging socialism, after all.
- gropo, on 11/04/2007, -4/+54Totally! Jesus was the archetypical welfare baby, his destitute family was bailed out by foreign governments directly after his birth.
Down with Liberal Jesus! I choose to believe in Supply Side Jesus. - bjornski, on 11/04/2007, -1/+20You beat me to it, Joe.
Christmas is the ultimate "gimme gimme gimme" holiday. - sanotaan, on 11/04/2007, -5/+3i thought the exact same thing, although one might argue that while one expects to receive during christmas, one is also expected to give as well.
- geometry, on 11/14/2007, -1/+15Um, not if you're a child. Well kinda I guess. Usually your mom will take you to buy something for your dad and your dad will take you to buy something for your mom, but it's not like you have to work for it.
- MacEnvy, on 11/14/2007, -2/+4As opposed to Halloween, when you're expected to ... oh right, also give out stuff to children. Actually, as a kid I rarely gave presents at Christmas, but I always helped give out candy at Halloween once I was done collecting myself.
Pretty sure both holidays work on the same concept.
- jseres, on 11/04/2007, -9/+3Only problem with that Joe is that Samhain is celebrated totally differently that Halloween is celebrated today. Pretty much the only thing that has stuck to modern day halloween is the wearing of masks, but the Gaels did that to "ward off evil spirits". Not to mention most hard line Christian fundamentalist families don't exactly sit too well with the whole Santa Claus thing either, they mostly teach there children at an early age about the exchange of presents. So in Hannity's mind Christmas is a holiday about giving, where as Halloween is about "receiving". I'm not saying that his comments weren't very tin foil hat and kind of moot but still, no need to attack the guys ancestry.
- mrurc, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2Well, I thought you were kind of lame because you apparently don't know how assimilation works. (Seriously, go ask a Borg.) But then I got to you accusing someone of attacking Hannity's ethnic background.
BREAKING NEWS: Republican goes ***** over information that he totally made up!
Mentioning that someone might want to be familiar with one's own heritage is not an attack on one's heritage. Not is being ashamed of being of similar heritage. Seriously, when a black person calls another one *****, it's not because he thinks that the other person's ethnic background sucks.
- mrurc, on 11/14/2007, -1/+2Well, I thought you were kind of lame because you apparently don't know how assimilation works. (Seriously, go ask a Borg.) But then I got to you accusing someone of attacking Hannity's ethnic background.
- ebolaworld, on 11/03/2007, -1/+4@ sanotaan - Someone has to give all that candy away.
- AriaStar, on 11/04/2007, -1/+16But Christmas is a "Christian" holiday, therefore it's okay. I mean, let's forget the Pagan tree, Saint Nick, the haloes (which represent the Pagan sun god, NOT something biblical), etc.. And let's not forget that Halloween is the night before a somber holiday to remember the dead. I believe All Saints Day is technically a Christian holiday?
- tizz66, on 11/04/2007, -1/+20Thats the ironic thing about republicans being associated with Christianity - Christianity is fundamentally liberal. Feeding the 5000, love thy neighbour - they're all liberal ideas (and I mean purely liberal, not 'Democrat' which is nothing like pure liberalism).
- nihilite, on 11/14/2007, -1/+14gays and abortions. Those are the most prominent 'christian' issues in politics today. The rest of the bible is more of a suggestion... you know... charity, help the sick, give to the poor, love thy neighbor, turn the other cheek, thou shalt not kill people for oil... etc
- 4wheel, on 11/06/2007, -18/+1No. Christmas doesn't "teach" us that. Dumbass.

- SlamShut, on 11/03/2007, -6/+12I'm a democrat and think Hannity and most of Fox News is off-the-charts insane, but to be perfectly fair, Sean Hannity is hardly a representative of "the majority of the current GOP."
- bsl4doc, on 11/03/2007, -3/+22Seriously? Have you watched, well, *any* GOP speeches, debates, or other public discourses in the last 10 years?
Hannity is pretty much in line with folks like Gingrich, Bush, and Rove, aka GOP.- TheReport, on 11/03/2007, -3/+12dont mistake Conservatives with the Neo-Cons they are both a completely different entity from each other. One is about fiscal responsiblity the other is about big budget spending on national defense
- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/04/2007, -1/+7That whole: "fiscal responsibility" sounds nice. Any examples of Republicans doing ANYTHING but corporate welfare or military spending? They may lower taxes -- but that means a hill of beans when they support printing money for un-paid spending and shipping jobs overseas.
Where exactly ARE the fiscal Conservatives?
Stop thinking that "FREE TRADE" is fiscally responsible -- don't make me think every Republican is a fool.- TheReport, on 11/03/2007, -0/+3you should continue to think that most republicans are fools because most republicans are fools. They say they are Conservative but they aren't they are Neo-Cons. Fiscal Conservatives want to cut spending, balance the budge, bring the nation to a surplus, stop printing money out of thin air and equate it to its weight in gold and silver, end entangling alliances with foriegn countries that cost more tax dollars to maintain, end socialized forms of welfare etc... anymore questions?
- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -2/+7I can't sight any examples of a Republican sounding sane in the past few years. The only people who sound like Republicans is half of the sell-out Democrats, and the Republicans just sound like Extremists with comments like; "I think we need to build TWO GitMos."
- bsl4doc, on 11/03/2007, -3/+22Seriously? Have you watched, well, *any* GOP speeches, debates, or other public discourses in the last 10 years?
- unearth, on 11/03/2007, -4/+5Sorry, what? Democrat to Republican because the Democrats are acting like idiots? That transition makes no sense unless you happen to not have any opinions about policy of your own.
- lacronicus, on 11/03/2007, -0/+5made perfect sense to me...
He sometimes gets fed up with being a democrat, but as soon as he swtiches to a republican, he remembers why he was a democrat to begin with, and so switches back. - unearth, on 11/03/2007, -2/+1@lacronicus
Yes, I understand the mechanics of how that would work. Not too many (sane) politically conscious people just up and change from Democrat to Republican, or vice versa. Over a lifetime, yeah, but not because you don't like the current Congress or some random *****. You pick a party because of their policies, and when they refuse to act on them, you don't pick a party with the opposing viewpoints as you. That's like a pro-choice person being fed up that Roe v Wade hasn't been overturned yet, so they start attending abortion parties. I could go on but nobody's going to read this anyway.- mrurc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I also know how the mechanics of the reply link work. Since I got a reply link to you, you had one for him! GENIUS!'
He thinks that it is a two-party system and for the most part he is correct. He thinks the Democrats have stupid policies so he decides to switch, then notices the Republican ones.
So he should be insulted and suffer personal attacks from you because of it? Typical Republican.
- mrurc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I also know how the mechanics of the reply link work. Since I got a reply link to you, you had one for him! GENIUS!'

- card51short, on 11/03/2007, -4/+2Oh you're a democrat? A republican? You put your political views into a label?
Oh well then your opinion is moot in real politics.- Matt2k, on 11/02/2007, -1/+1In general I agree with you, but there is something said for tact.
- mrurc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1He gets exactly as many votes as you and has exactly as much power in politics as you, so would you like to say that again?
- queenstarsha, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1look, i get sick of the g.d. spinelessness sometimes, but NOTHING could make me align with republicans. i'm not a closeted gay man who hates humankind.
- travelingpoet, on 11/03/2007, -15/+6No doubt, next time try a real Republican instead of his fakery.
- staxofmax, on 11/03/2007, -2/+15I'm guessing Hannity gives out Jack Chick tracts for Halloween.
- bjornski, on 11/03/2007, -0/+8That would be considered a "trick", correct?
Oh wait. It didn't happen in a bathroom stall.
The GOP knows their tricks, alright. - Shmigget, on 11/03/2007, -1/+2ROFLOL
That made my day. Thank you.
- bjornski, on 11/03/2007, -0/+8That would be considered a "trick", correct?
- natedouglas, on 11/03/2007, -1/+34I think Halloween used to teach children about the goodwill of the community. A nice, mildly ritualized way to act like a free kid and talk to people who might ordinarily just yell at you to get off the lawn. They smile, give you candy, and you run off happy.
Of course, the state of fear in which we live, with mass hysteria about laced candy, has sort of short-circuited that. It becomes a "get all the candy you can, but we have to be suspicious of our neighbors until we can be sure it's safe" sort of activity.
I disagree that trick-or-treating is a "liberal" thing. I see it as a profoundly traditional holiday. I mean in the old, pleasant sense of having cherished values, a closely-knit community, and people being generous and good-natured to children. A bit Norman Rockwell, but it's true.- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -0/+6I thought all the conservatives wanted us to move away from redistribution by the government, and to depend upon the whims of begging private charities when bad things happen, like storms or bridge collapses?
Isn't Halloween more along the lines of Charity? I don't see a government quota on candy, now do I?
Even with making up straw man arguments -- these nutters don't understand how to build a consistent rational. Of course, I don't think their brand of Conservatism is anything more than a power and money grab masquerading as a philosophy. Time to take the mask off Hannity, and just show everyone your offshore account for your propaganda services.
What an absolute fluffer this douche is. - AriaStar, on 11/03/2007, -2/+2What is was and what it is now are two different things.
The annoying, screaming brats pounding on the door screeching for candy make me want to snap little necks, but the nice, pleasant ones who say "please" and "thank you" are learning manners from their parents. Halloween (and Christmas) only teaches that a hand-out is "owed" to children of idiot parents who don't see this as an opportunity to teach their children gratefulness.- mrurc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I only had two groups of trick-or-treaters. Each had two children, one of which was fairly young, in one group the younger was maybe 4 and in the other, about 5. The one that I think was about 4 reached inside the bowl of candy and his father scolded him and with both groups the father said "Say thank you!" Halloween is a perfect time to teach children manners. "People are giving you candy and you are happy about it. Let them know that you are happy about it. Say thanks!"
- olik, on 11/02/2007, -0/+1Actually, it's not nearly that warm and fuzzy. Halloween teaches children to extract what they want from their helpless neighbors under threat of force. "Trick or treat" isn't just a cute little phrase, it's a direct threat -- you give me a treat or I will play a trick on you. Sounds like a conservative game to me.
- mrurc, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2You think that teaching children about the goodwill of the community is not a liberal thing?
Halloween could as easily be a Republican thing because it's gimme gimme candy hoarding madness and whoever gets the most wins. At least for kids.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -0/+6I thought all the conservatives wanted us to move away from redistribution by the government, and to depend upon the whims of begging private charities when bad things happen, like storms or bridge collapses?

- florin, on 11/03/2007, -0/+14Well, Bush's approval rate is not zero, so draw your own conclusion.
- postal21, on 11/03/2007, -2/+3My dad does every day. 3-6, 3 hours a day is all hannity asks!
- Belushi123, on 11/03/2007, -1/+4the sad thing is there are so many people out there that only listen to the talking heads and can't think for themselves. That goes for people on both sides of an issue.

- Inflammo, on 11/03/2007, -7/+0Actually yes. He has giant ratings. And for the most part he seems fairly level-headed. This particular comment doesn't make any sense
- BrewBeau, on 11/03/2007, -0/+6Level-headed? We are talking about Sean Hannity, right?
- MisteryMeat, on 11/03/2007, -0/+4Hopefully not after that argument.
- Bing11, on 11/03/2007, -8/+10I have a dream, that one day, the Constitution will be restored as a doctrine we must all follow. And those who picked-and-chose when to apply it before, like Hannity and his ilk (O'Reily, Limbaugh, Beck, etc.), will be the only ones it now longer applies to. Those select few will have their ability to speak, and reproduce, permanently removed.
- Lord_oftheTrons, on 11/06/2007, -4/+13Sounds a bit like communism. You might not agree with what he has to say but he has a right to say it. Turn the channel if you don't want to listen. This applies to anything.
- Bing11, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1Communism: "to each person as they need it." In theory, communism would make a fine form of government, it's just that it always corrupts. I think you meant to say something else.
- imnojezus, on 11/06/2007, -1/+6You have a skewed vision of the Constitution. It's a document designed to limit the powers of the government, not be a "doctrine we must all follow". This is a free country, and you shouldn't have to follow anyone's doctrine. Nor should people lose their right to free speech, no mater how crazy their speech is.
- Bing11, on 11/06/2007, -0/+1I was referring to Bush, et. al with the Constitution bit. And what I was proposing (about free speech) was only to implement the same rules Hannity thinks applies to other people, to him (you know, to cut down on the hypocrisy). For example: anyone who thinks water boarding isn't torture should be subject to it. If they still think it's not, fine. If they change their mind, maybe they'll reconsider supporting it.
- Lord_oftheTrons, on 11/06/2007, -4/+13Sounds a bit like communism. You might not agree with what he has to say but he has a right to say it. Turn the channel if you don't want to listen. This applies to anything.
- omnithought, on 11/03/2007, -3/+10This must be FOX's response to their perception that there's a war on Christmas. What a bunch of douchebags.
- StarlessKnight, on 11/03/2007, -1/+3One side wages a "war" on Halloween, the other side wages a "war" on Christmas. Only one side, however, is waging a "war" to abolish one of those holidays, and I can bet it isn't the holiday that makes businesses happy at the end of the year; no, far more insidious is this idea of pretending to be a ghost, hanging out with other children, and having fun. Haaaaail Satan.
- Flummoxer, on 11/06/2007, -0/+5Halloween is pretty commercialized too.

- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -1/+11Yes, it is so unlikely that Hannity would say such a thing.
- tacohead, on 11/03/2007, -6/+2what? why is that? Have you ever listened to that boy? He says stuff like this a lot. I had to go listen to it myself to make sure, but thoughts like this are rather normal for the The douchbag... I mean Hanity.

- Dumbledorito, on 11/03/2007, -1/+36It's nice that Fox is giving our nation's mentally ill a place to be other than panhandling on the streets.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 11/03/2007, -0/+63Does Hannity know that he's quoting Colbert?
- cswnow, on 11/06/2007, -29/+1He said it over the last 5 years you moron. Before dolbert even knew what a tv was.
- metalgodz, on 11/03/2007, -0/+3Source? Haven't dugg you down or up despite the stupid "dolbert" comment anyway... (Hah. WTF? Wow...AAANYway...)
I'm actually interested in seeing a source for this. I'd be interested to know.- mrurc, on 11/06/2007, -2/+1So you were finally told that it was satire, eh? Who clued you in? Cause it's obvious you aren't able to figure that out for yourself.
- metalgodz, on 11/03/2007, -0/+3Source? Haven't dugg you down or up despite the stupid "dolbert" comment anyway... (Hah. WTF? Wow...AAANYway...)
- searchresults, on 11/03/2007, -0/+17I don't believe so....and you are right, this is *precisely* the argument Colbert satired this week.
- VitriolAndAngst, on 11/06/2007, -0/+26It's hard not to. Colbert tries to come up with dumber things to say -- just to try and stay ahead of these NeoCons. It's a tough job and getting harder all the time.
- florin, on 11/03/2007, -0/+5He might actually know, and still do it. Here's how - he knows that his audience doesn't listen to Colbert, so they are not aware that Hannity is just reusing Colbert's idea. But also Hannity's audience are probably dumb enough (*) to not realize the utter stupidity of tagging Halloween as a "liberal" thing, so they might just swallow it as "true".
It could be that Hannity is actually happy that Colbert gives him new ideas.
(*) - yes, _that_ dumb. I really think they are that dumb.- fillet54, on 11/02/2007, -0/+0He has said this many times before. I know that he said this a few times on his radio show on monday but i have heard him say this before that too. In any case hes saying it as a joke, just to get people riled up and i guess from looking at these posts it works.
- yarukizero, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1Well, it is kind of hard to tell these days...

- AquaOSX, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2It looks like both shows aired on Oct 31st, but Hannity's show airs at 9pm ET, and Colbert seats his audience at 6pm ET and likely tapes before 9pm. Colbert no longer needs to study and mirror talking points that have already been vocalized by idiot pundits. He has officially studied these guys enough to predict and mock what they're probably going to say.
- cswnow, on 11/06/2007, -29/+1He said it over the last 5 years you moron. Before dolbert even knew what a tv was.
- whataboutdave, on 11/03/2007, -3/+19What an idiot. Halloween is voluntary philanthropy at its finest. Nothing redistributive about that.
- Tornchi, on 11/03/2007, -3/+12Funny, Trick or Treat sounds more like extortion to me.
- whataboutdave, on 11/03/2007, -2/+4What the hell goes down in your neighborhood? In mine, you can leave your light off, fail to answer the door, or simply refuse to give anything if you don't want to participate.
- kaelyiesta, on 11/03/2007, -0/+4I hesitated at first to make a similar statement because I didn't even want to dignify Hannity's remark, but I fully agree. Free will to give candy to kids is nothing like enforced entitlement and redistribution.

Halloween is about keeping away the evil spirits. That's why I would shoot him. - Hetman, on 11/03/2007, -1/+21This is complete BS. Using that reasoning there is no need for Christmas or birthday parties either. I dunno if Sean hannity has kids but if he does he needs to tell those little bastards to get out the house get a job in the factory and buy their own presents.

- Hetman, on 11/03/2007, -2/+5You know he is a reporter. A real one. He shouldnt be joking. I mean sean hannity runs a real news show not a fake one like Jon and Colbert. Leave the jokes to comedians and just report the news.
- TheLoneHoot, on 11/03/2007, -1/+6As much as I understand the point your making, I need to set you straight. Sean Hannity is as much a real reporter as Bush is a real president. Where did Hannity go to study journalism? I'll give you a hint - he didn't go to college, so I'm guessing it was the high school newspaper at best. I challenge anyone who truly understand JOURNALISM to find one real reporter at FOX. Seriously. And don't misunderstand me, the same applies to MOST of the other network reporters too (Christiane Amanpour being an exception). It's just that FOX enlists people like Giraldo Rivera, Oliver North, and ***** Sean Hannity as "reporters", and that just makes them easier targets. CNN has Nancy Grace, Glenn Beck, and others too. They suck.
You want good reporting - serious journalism? Check out Democracy Now's Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzalez, Jeremy Cahill, and others. Check out Robert Fisk of The Independent. Check out other NON-COMMERCIAL media sources. THAT's where you'll find real reporters.
Again, I understand what your point and basically agree with you, but I felt compelled to mention that Hannity is by no means a real reporter at all.

- mrurc, on 11/08/2007, -0/+4Did you read the entire transcript? At first I thought the same thing, especially since Geraldo's response made fun of his own manly 'stache. But then later he just keeps harping on it and going, "no, I'm serious!" Just scroll down. It's not that hard.

I can't believe so much scrutiny is given to comment threads, honestly. It's about half a notch up from grammar/spelling policing IRC. Just because a person brainfarts in a stream of consciousness doesn't mean they are the kind of dolts that don't know the difference between a long, fairly flat tract of land and an airplane. Sometimes the fingers work too fast, like at text-to-speech program.
- dafragsta, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1I saw that...
- blueplanet, on 11/03/2007, -2/+7I really hate Hannity...
- mrdeathgod, on 11/03/2007, -2/+16Anyone who ever has fun ever ever is clearly a filthy commie liberal terrorist.
- Btzarro, on 11/03/2007, -0/+3We should be working hard to keep blacks/other races down because they threaten our professinalism with this so called 'Fun',WAR ON FUN.
Right-wing Neonazism FTW.

- tman84, on 11/03/2007, -1/+9looks like Hannity just got back from Imaginationland. Does the guy even research anything or does he just shout everything and throw "liberal" and "evil" every other word.
Halloween, Christmas, and Easter are all Pagan holidays. His Christian Fundamentalist friends just adopted them to suit their needs. - VitriolAndAngst, on 11/03/2007, -2/+8Wow. These issues are going to seem so HUGE when the economy collapses. Can we trade these "Liberal" Halloween costumes for a can of beans?
Sean Hannity is just part of the distraction. His dumb and transparent comments amuse Liberals so we are not paying attention to the real dangers. The people who like what he says feel like they scored another point on us compassion-mongers, or something.
Libs, we need to be getting organized to get a GOOD Democrat elected to the White House (not the two that the media is choosing for us). Dealing with Global Warming is going to be THE issue pretty soon. We will WISH we had to worry about defending Halloween or Christmas. These will seem like simpler times. - diggiscrapola, on 11/03/2007, -20/+1Liberals over at mediamatters.org are so bitter that they've lost their sense of humor.
- Btzarro, on 11/03/2007, -0/+2Diggiscrapola is 'crapola'
- queenstarsha, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1you'd be bitter, too, if you weren't a moron.
- chesscat, on 11/03/2007, -0/+10Yeah, it's not like that other 'real' conservative holiday, Christmas, that teaches kids that a fat man comes down the chimney with gifts and does all these things while being pulled in a sled by flying reindeer and is able to visit all good Christian boys and girls in the world in just a handful of hours.
- WaterDragon, on 11/03/2007, -1/+1Actually, the sheer degree of absurdity of that story does qualify it as being more on the side of the neo-CON.
- queenstarsha, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1remember when republicans started saying "merry christmas" as an insult? good times.
- J3553, on 11/06/2007, -1/+25that's why i tell all the 8 year old kids who come to my door to get a ***** job.
- Genetico, on 11/03/2007, -13/+2LMAO that was awesome. To the people that take this stuff way to serious...C'mon guys, this is just funny, nothing else. He's not gonna accomplish anything, it's just funny.
- hmmdar, on 11/03/2007, -8/+4Boom! head shot!
- spyd3rweb, on 11/03/2007, -3/+1UT3 Announcer... "Head Shot!!!"
- cswnow, on 11/03/2007, -8/+0And Hillary and Obama go down with one shot. Way to save ammo.
- shredswithpiks, on 11/03/2007, -6/+3He was using rhetoric and satire, not being serious. Ever read the onion? It's kinda like that...
Although... Hannity is still a wang- bjornski, on 11/03/2007, -2/+6The Onion is more truthful than Fox "news"
- queenstarsha, on 11/03/2007, -0/+1no he wasn't. that's the kind of statement republicans mean. if they can get away with it. if not, why then it's: ha ha just kidding, i'm so clever. but they're neither kidding nor clever. they're ***** insane.
- jokerthief, on 11/03/2007, -3/+10I agree with Sean. You communist, pagan diggers don't realize the harm you are doing to America™ by supporting this Wiccan holiday. [/moronic agreement with known village idiot]
- truegodofwar, on 11/03/2007, -2/+8Now this is just comical. If I didn't know better, I would have thought that Sean Hannity is a liberal in disguise throwing out strawman arguments to make the republican look foolish.
- Btzarro, on 11/03/2007, -1/+2To make republicans look foolish?,Theres no need to make them look foolish when they do that themselves with hypocrisy and fox news.
