Being a republican means you can be for family values and still have the right to make porn tapes, take nude pics, and deny gays right to marriage.
Or be anti-gay and solicit in a men's bathroom (Craig).
Be for family values and prostitution (Vitter).
Be for sanctity of marriage but have affairs with someone in Argentina (Sanford) or with your staff's wife (Ensign) or with lobbyists (Duvall).
Be for both liberty and freedom during Obama's administration and say nothing during Bush's administration of illegal wire tapping and torturing of American citizen (Padilla).
Be for fiscal responsibility and be against spending inside US during Obama's administration and say nothing during Bush administration where the rich get tax cut, nations get destroyed and rebuilt, all on our tax dollars.

The problem is with all the right wingers who tried to make the other side the bad guys. She signed a contract to reveal any behavior that would reflect disparagingly on her in her past. This would have included a sex video and nude photos. She refused to reveal either of those, so they had every right to use them against her. She broke her contract and had no right to make a claim against them.
