Anonymous are lightweights compared to the Cult of $cientology. Even still there's no proof that the Co$ didn't threaten themselves to discredit Anonymous. The Co$ has used the same tactics against Paulette Cooper. In the end the Co$'s dirty tricks, and litigious nature will only keep making more enemies. It'll be their demise.
There's no excuse for committing criminal hate crimes. Obviously Anonymous can't clean up their act by pretending to the media that all the sudden they are non-violent, while behind the scenes acting like terrorists. Anonymous truly creates hate on the Internet.
These anonymous thugs are COWARDS. They hide because they are afraid and weak and can't stand up to the light of day. They are committing federal offenses and they will end up behind bars because of it. We'll see how brave they look in their mug shots.
What does Anonymous have to hide? Why be ananymous if your message holds credit. As long as they are not doing anything "illegal" they have nothing to worry about, so why hide like cowards? Anyone that attacks something or someone always has crimes of their own and this video probably doesn't even scratch the surface or what anonymous has done or is doing.
Time to look at the other side of the coin, to all of the obsessive followers that just "diggg this YES!!!" without ever observing for their own. Pity that no one actually has the courage to find out for themselves and get their own opinion, because everyone knows "it's oh so much easier to just follow the flow", right?
Good, the other side of the story is starting to surface. Anonymous threats shows this is no benign group of funseekers. These guys are threatening dangerous acts.
Wow! I can not believe that this kind of hate against a religion is being perpetuated in the year 2008 in America. What anonymous is doing is wrong on so many levels.
It seems to me that these people at Anonymous have nothing better to do with their time. Let's see how many other ways their energy could benefit humankind instead of harassing a religion that helped Katrina victims, 9/11 victims, etc... just like many other churches.... Hopefully they all find more productive ways to spend their time. The death threats and terrorist threats are what we as Americans are fighting against, they have basically become enemies of the country by attacking a church of any kind. This wouldn't fly with Christians, Muslims, Catholics, any religion that we, as AMERICANS have the right to practice.... If they don't like our Amendments (and not just the parts they chose), why don't they go somewhere else?
What a pack of lies, like always there is now level too low for the cult of scientology to stoop to in order to discredit a critic of their criminal organization. Buried on digg, flagged on youtube.
It seems pretty clear that "Anonymous" are a bunch of terrorists. They are encouraging violence against Scientologists. There is no doubt that at all. They use lots of justifications, excuses and lies for their actions, but the truth is plain to see. They are criminals.
Ah! The light of truth! Notice all of the positive statements (against the cowards, Anonymous) are all receiving "negative" diggs, while those supporting their small-minded misdeeds are receiving "positive" diggs. It seems that Anonymous is "everywhere" finding any reason to justify their cause! "Let us tear-down those who would build-up, and thus, preempt the future!" seems to be their battle cry. I wish I had that kind of free time.
Reminds me of the KKK. It is hard to believe any allegations when people won't show their face. "An age is called Dark, not because the light fails to shine, but because people refuse to see it." James A. Michner
Anonymous is a group of lame cowards. Any group that has nothing better to do than make more than 8000 harassing phone calls clearly needs a hobby. I mean a brain. I mean a life.
One thing you can always say about the Church of Scientology is that they persist and don't give up in the face of this sort of attack. Anonymous should be shunned by the community for these hate crimes. Watch them now try and distance themselves from the death threats, vandalism and violence. I personally know two people who have been physically attacked on the streets for being Scientologists since these attacks started...
I guess soon someone will find out who is funding them and it will all come out in the wash.
These "Anonymous" people are ridiculous. Shooting at Churches? WTF? They have moved from pimple faced cyber nerds bored with their lives and having nothing better to do, to downright hate-crimes and violence! So far they have accomplished nothing but attention, like a train wreck you don't want to turn away from.
Start with another question: Why do terrorists attack and hate the United States?
It starts with a deep seated fear, a terror of anyone or any group that is successful that is helping people live free and is succeeding at it.
Face it. Some people are jealous. Sometimes the reaction to jealousy is to try to tear down the object of the jealousy as a solution. Multiply that jealousy into a general and pronounced world view and that type of personality is driven insane when seeing others do well. It is the worst kind of inferiority.
We’ve all seen the type. The put-down artist, the ridiculer, the mean bully. What’s behind it? TERROR – terror of others. Their solution – attack (attack the hallucinatory source of their terror).
There are really two types. The very worst are the quiet ones, the ones hard to detect working behind the scenes to harm and getting others to do their bidding. There are of course the obvious ones like the Hitlers and the Bin Ladens. Also, unfortunately, there are the larger numbers of those influenced by these types of terrorized minds as we saw in the mass hysteria in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s and today in the suicide bombers and other followers of terrorists.
The cyber-terrorists and others who attack Scientology simply are one of the two types. Since Scientology helps make people stronger and live better lives, this makes the inferior feeling, internally twisted/terrorized personality go wild and thus the attacks with any kind of lie against this group that helps so many get stronger.
Others getting stronger is the worst outcome for this type of personality, so in their twisted minds, it must be stopped, lied about, slandered and libeled. This personality then lies further to try to create mass hysteria through every possible avenue.
Think for yourself. How can Scientology have grown so much and have so many praise it if there wasn't something of value there? Buy one or go to the library and actually read a book by Mr. Hubbard. See for yourself and then, on your own, accept or reject the value or lack of value in this subject.
Thanks for getting the facts out there, they've been long-time coming.
I'd like to point out how few people are leaving bad comments, and those that due are completely ignorant. "what about the content of the clip? who did it?" What does it matter? The facts can be verified, are you looking for another person to target and attack?
Another person says "all propaganda" these are verifiable facts!
Video fabrication skill: grade B
Video content: F
The only violence commited in or around the socalled chuch in the past 10-15 years has been of Scientology members themselves. The biggest criminal of them all, David Miscavige, is a shining example of the most ultra-violent totalitarian idiots this planet has ever seen. Go on, ask what his crimes are.
This really is a subject for law enforcement. I hope some of the traces will lead to the instigators of this hate campaign. Criticism is one thing, criminal offense and instigation of hate crimes another one. The 'Anonymous's" are aware of it, that is why they cowardly trying to hide.
I've been getting regular calls too, around midnight (number withheld, of course). In some statements, they say they are not against individual Scientologists or the religion itself (just the organisation), but I personally think that's just PR. Some of the comments written on those banners went a bit further than that! The effect those signs will have had on others reading them. towards Scientology and Scientologists. is obviously not going to be a good one. My take on the whole thing is that maybe one or two of these guys are genuinely disgruntled about something - hey, it happens. (So why don't they grow up and sort it out through the proper channels?) And the rest are basically thugs who know next to nothing about Scientology (and what they do know, the read in The Sun newspaper), and have just come along for the ride, neo-nazi style.
COS is behind this video. I would bet their people were the ones making the threats along with some others that don't understand peaceful protesting as described in the original videos. I do not condone violence and feel this could be fabricated through the so called church. COS has many tricks up their sleeve.
How many of you does OSA have sitting around computer at ORGs typing all these b.s. comments? Or is it one or 2 of you hubbardites sitting at home. Face the smoke screen put up by the cult that has warped your thinking has been blown. Stand by to see less and less people falling for the personality test b.s. and watch as your membership dwindles away. There is nothing that CO$ can do to stop it.
These Anonymous folks are the same ones who hacked the Fox news website - and put their mission statement there for the world to see. They wrote of themselves:
" We are the face of chaos... We ruin the lives of other people simply because we can ... Hundreds die in a plane crash. We laugh. The nation mourns over school shooting, we laugh. We're the embodiment of humanity with no remorse, no caring, no love, or no sense of morality."
Based on all of the comments here, I see one of two possibilities:
A: The Church has people working overtime trying to flood the comments section with black PR and paint Anonymous as a terrorist organization, which is patently ridiculous to anyone with even a PASSING awareness of the (completely peaceful) protests on the 10th of Feb.
B: People need to exercise a bit of common sense when deciding whether or not to believe things they saw on the internet. I mean, really..."Organization of dubious trustworthiness claims to be persecuted by their critics, and offers slickly-produced video as proof" should raise a few alarm bells for anyone with even a modicum of critical thinking ability.
This whole page of comments is hilarious. Scientologists are hilarious. This is a hilariously bad attempt at infiltrating the intarwebs. This story will never make the front page. You actually got someone to put together that piece of ***** film! Haha!
Anonymous didn't make any threats. In fact, when the bomb threat video was posted on YouTube, Anonymous was the first to flag the video and report it to the FBI. Few anons saw the video and the general consensus was that it was an OSA ploy. More on that here:
Scientologists are facing the same hate crimes and prejudice that other religions went through in their early stages. Spirituality does endure and the hate will fade.
Wow. What a pathetic attempt at media manipulation. The world is beginning to see the Church of Scientology for what it really is - a corrupt, manipulative organization. Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing" Guess what? Good men and women everywhere are starting to act, and their name is Anonymous.
Don't you scieno-idiots get it? Anonymous is a concept, not a set group of people that wildly decide what direction to move in next. They are not lemmings. What anonymous is today is not what it will be tomorrow, or the next day, or the next...
"Documentary"? Don't real documentaries usually cite their sources? Or is the Church of Scientology's definition more like "a completely biased, slanderous, glossed up propaganda video"? Who was it that reported the "bomb threat" video to the FBI, hrmm? Oh, that's right. ANONYMOUS. Because they didn't make the video.
Whoever did (OSA? Enraged /b/tard?) claimed to be "elite anonymous". That right there shows it wasn't truly Anonymous. Anonymous is leaderless, decentralized, and has no divisions like "elite". You could figure that out from the wikipedia entry on Anonymous. Yet here it is, in this propaganda video.
tl;dr: LURK MOAR, CoS. No one's falling for this but yourselves.
HELLO SCIENTOLOGISTS! WE ARE AWARE THAT YOUR INTERNAL EMAILS HAVE DIRECTED YOU TO THIS DIGG ARTICLE AND THAT VIDEO. NOTE THAT COMMENTS ARE DISABLED. THINK FOR YOURSELVES. THAT NAGGING DOUBT YOU'VE ALWAYS HAD? IT IS THERE FOR A REASON. YOU ARE GOOD PEOPLE. YOU HAVE BEEN MISLED. PLEASE SEEK OUT THE TRUTH. IT IS OUT THERE. THE CHURCH LIES TO YOU. WE ARE ANONYMOUS WE ARE LEGION CRUISE CONTROL
Better yet, go to exscientologykids.com (site started by Jenna Misgavige, Kendra Wiseman and Astra Woodcraft) and read for yourself how Scientology has hurt the children of its members.
Doubt is not a crime. Questioning is not treason. No matter what some may tell you.
I know that some of you may feel scared to leave but there are people on the outside who can help. I know that some feel they can not leave because they do not want to be disconnected from their families and friends. If you are in such a position, I know how hard it can be.
If you wish to speak anonymously, without fear of being labeled an SP and risking to lose your family you can sign up and speak out at www.enturbulation.org
If you are a Scientology kid (Sea Org, etc) who needs a place to speak out, there is www.exscientologykids.com. You can post your story and speak completely anonymously.
In April, anonymous plans something called "Operation Reconnect". Operation Reconnect is intended to help families torn apart by disconnection.
If there was a single OT in the _RTC_, you wouldn't be reading this message. SP's supposedly comprise 2% of the population. Based on the voting here, do you think it's possible that the real suppressives are in the RTC. LRH wrote:
"It's a very simple remedy. And that's-just make sure that the remedy is passed along. That's all.Don't horde it, don't hold it; and if you ever do use any Black Dianetics, use it on the guy who pulled Scientology out of sight and made it so it wasn't available. Because he's the boy who would be electing himself "The New Order." And we don't need any more new orders. All those orders, as far as I am concerned, have been filled." - PDC 20 lecture (original... before the "remastered" version which is edited _for content_ (i.e: squirreled by DM)). DM is a traitor, a squirrel, and the reason the RTC is failing to control all this "entheta" is because it's _NOT_ entheta and the RTC is pushing out-tech.
