Schumer to Oppose FISA Bill Because of Retroactive Immunity

Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will oppose the FISA bill because it grants retroactive immunity to telecoms and expands the president’s power to wiretap without court order. “If Schumer backs an effort to remove the immunity provisions, that could be a big deal,” writes John Riley.
