- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -1/+64Next to Palin's churches, Obama's former pastor seems down right mellow and orthodox. The video of their own words, actions and practices along with Palin's talk in front of her church was down right freaky! I will say, however, that the video was really choppy and hard to follow. It could have been done better so that it was easier to follow.
- dreamtiger, on 09/07/2008, -2/+55These freaks would bring back the witch hunts. I knew I saw pure evil in her face.
- BillRoy, on 09/07/2008, -3/+56Absolutely nuts!!!!!
- JenniferInMO, on 09/07/2008, -2/+49When we talk about "radical muslims" this is the Christian version. Just as extreme, just as intent on controlling government, but more frightening because they are better organized and they have mastered the art of blending in. History shows this type of movement, regardless of the underlying religion to be the spark of revolution. We are already on the verge of a class war. To save what we love about this country we need to balance the power and focus on fairness. McCain is focused on extending the Bush dynasty, Obama is focused on fairness. If you are still in doubt please go to the library and read "The Audacity of Hope." His views are the essence of pragmatism and fairness.
- stonecircle, on 06/11/2009, -1/+46Palin recently said that the war in Iraq is "God's task." Palin believes in End Times and Biblical prophecy. How might that affect her foreign policy decisions?
- shazaadeh, on 09/07/2008, -1/+42An extremist cult in the presidency.
this is who might be Vice President if the damn media doesnt start doing its job. - meschief, on 09/07/2008, -2/+43My 19 year old cousin shot himself in Feb, he was so screwed up being in a group something like this... people are falling in love with this woman, McCain continues to lie, and we may just end up with her as President some day... please guys, we need to get EVERY new voter we can, this is SO SERIOUS!!
- sassce, on 09/07/2008, -0/+40Hmmmm
Shouldn't this be running in continuous loop on FIX NEWS?
Oh wait that would be far and balanced..... - doumiste, on 09/07/2008, -0/+35How can you make this VIRAL enough so that more people can see this.
- toetagger, on 09/07/2008, -1/+34The neocons are salivating at the prospect of whispering in her ear. "push the button, push the button"

- bransonbelle, on 09/07/2008, -0/+25At what point in time does the mainstream media pick this up? Just a belief system I want a heartbeat away from the presidency of our great nation. We could be going over a cliff here, folks.
- meschief, on 09/07/2008, -0/+24dreamtiger... it's called the "gift of tongues" and many kids fake it to fit in...spirits are suppose to take over your body and release evil... it's the scariest thing I have ever seen!!!!
- suz123nj, on 09/07/2008, -1/+25This needs to be repeated and repeated like the Obama pastor Wright's video.
- cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -0/+20"Snakes on a Palin"
Is that the sequel? - CipherBlack, on 09/07/2008, -1/+20And you thought the Anti-Christ was going to be a Man...
- cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -0/+19When I realized my Church was no longer a political asset... I put it on Ebay.
- cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -0/+19Note to self: Don't answer the cell phone if the call comes from Alaska any time soon.
Yikes - kmom5, on 09/07/2008, -0/+18I grew up attending church, and this just really leaves me speechless.
While I am always wary of criticizing someone's religious beliefs, I still have to say that this is very serious and scary stuff to me, if it has in fact been connected to Palin's church. - mikesoba, on 09/07/2008, -3/+20These are not Christians. They are seriously ill folks who should immediately seek psychiatric help. The Assembly of God is a frightening cult which should be banned. Palin is not fit to be a mother, no less a leader of any nation.
- Phylter, on 09/07/2008, -0/+17A small group of crazy people is a "cult". A large group of crazies is a "religion". Either way, they're all ***** NUTS!
America cannot AFFORD any more religious intermingling in politics, or we're gonna be seeing the Salem witch-hunts all across the country. And THAT will be just for starters. The rise of the Christiban and headed for the White House, unless we stop them.
Brush up on the Spanish Inquistions to see what these nutcases are capable of, also, the technology is so much better now.
"Don't tase me bro" will be the LEAST of your worries. - pintomp3, on 09/07/2008, -0/+17religion is a helluva drug.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -1/+18Talk about being scary people!
- foxhound009, on 09/07/2008, -0/+16This is ***** scary...
... - EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -0/+15For starters you can click on the "share" link at the top of the page and share it with all your friends and tell them to share it with all their friends. Digg is a great way to make something go viral really quickly.
- AmericanElitist, on 09/07/2008, -0/+14no wonder they want to drill drill drill, these people are notoriously anti-environment in an attempt to speed up the coming of the apocalypse.
the fact that one of these wackos is on a major party ticket in the United States presidential campaign is outrageous, embarrassing and freightening
mccain/palin must be defeated in an outright landslide to send the message to the gop that this will not be allowed to continue. anything less, even with an Obama victory, and we are liable to see more of this in the future - USArugula, on 09/07/2008, -1/+13Wish I could digg you one hundred times. The problem with this kind of religious extremism is that it is a perversion of Christianity and as such can slip relatively unchecked by our primarily Judeo-Christian society. But these people are dangerous. This is the kind of extremism that breeds those who bomb doctors' offices and women's clinics. Compared to Palin's church, I would have felt safer seeing Pat Robertson as McCain's VP pick -- and that ain't saying much.
- xtrachrisbee, on 09/08/2008, -0/+10this is absolutely CRAZINESS!
- EnviroChem, on 05/22/2009, -0/+9Basically everyone fakes it to fit in and show they have the "gift" but fail to realize that everyone else is faking it as well. I used to attend an Assembly of God church for a short period of time and while it wasn't as extreme as Palin's church it was a real eye opener and after a while I spent more time watching the attendees to figure out who was faking for social acceptance purposes and who really believed what was being preached. There was a lot of faking going on. Palin attending a church as extreme as hers should be a VERY scary thing to all of us. These types of people have no tollerance for ANYONE who believes anything slightly different from themselves.
We do not want someone who believes that the end is near anywhere close to having control over the button that could really end it all! - acroyear2, on 09/07/2008, -8/+17Hi,
I'm a liberal here. Also a novice anthropologist.
I don't believe the cursory criticisms of this church are fair or appropriate. They should be allowed to be as looney as they wish inside those walls. I truly believe that. The issue for me as a citizen of this nation, really is about what extends outside of that. The issue with Palin is that she seems to openly want to apply her faith to government. We should discuss that. I don't support any of the paranoia projected towards her church or institutions like this as inherently dangerous. They can be dangerous but they aren't necessarily by design.
I'll add my two cents here as well...
I find it funny how protestant, demure, religious traditions are more acceptable for mainstream, American communities but as soon as we see them dancing and playing drums... they're spooky. They're dangerous. They're looney.
When we (liberals that is) witness a similar tradition of group of people in Haiti, we show our respect? Talk about cultural openness? It's fine for them but not for us? Sort of how Elvis scared people when he borrowed black music... - foxhound009, on 09/07/2008, -0/+9Yes, but if something happened to McCain if he'd became president(hopefully not for USA's and world's sake) you'd have someone from that kind of background in white house...
... - xine13, on 09/08/2008, -0/+9Doomsday cult?
- msaunders1028, on 09/08/2008, -0/+8Come on Olbermann - Do your thing man!!!! Get this craziness out there!!!!! WTF - Did I even just watch??? Was that actually in America????? Did you see the part where the US was actually blowing up????
- cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -1/+9I think they can practice their faith how they want to. I also think everyone needs to know that she is from the fanatical evangelistic right, and what their beliefs are.
- chaya7, on 09/08/2008, -0/+8I fully believe that Americans will elect this insane woman, each little American mommy believing to the end that, "Ooo, she's just like me!" It will be four more years--which, yes, could very well be the final destruction of America.
My family has been in America since the 1500's. I served my country proudly for many years. I am closer every day to leaving it for Canada. I no longer have any faith in America's people to make intelligent, informed decisions--or in the press to uncover deceit and evil. - jonraymond, on 09/08/2008, -0/+8This beauty queen doesn't care about world peace, she's going for world domination.
- cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -0/+7You can use your cell phone to spread it.
- MediaWeasel, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6Banning - not sure about that. But I do think that someone with such extreme and dogmatic beliefs isn't the right person as VP - separation of Church and State, anyone?
As to being Christian - I have to say, I don't see much brotherly love in their connection with the rest of the world. Surely, in the Christian religion if you love Jesus you follow the word, and I don't see any evidence of that in Palin's manner or behaviour. - cedarbaydave, on 09/07/2008, -0/+6I would hope most people would agree with you. That is my point exactly.
- dn11, on 09/08/2008, -1/+7These people aren't just religious nuts - they appear to be clinically deranged
- baillingskater, on 09/08/2008, -0/+6dont trust her for 1 second!
- Americanwhiner, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5Women Everywhere: Palin is putting you and your rights on notice. If she gets elected you better kiss your kids goodbye because she'll send them to a war. McCain is a puppet and Palin was chosen by the Rethuglican gorgons who dictate what their party says and does. If the good guys (Obama/Biden) don't win this time, America is going down, and democracy with her. To me they represent evil and ignorance...and if the devil has hand servants...then you are looking them in the eye whenever you see McCain or Palin.
- MediaWeasel, on 09/07/2008, -0/+5Now that's funny .. ;-)
- transcendsmas, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5We should all channel our disgust towards getting Obama/Biden elected. I challenge everyone to sign up one new voter per comment on DIGG! This is how we win our country back! So far tomorrow I have to register two new voters.
- rewinn, on 09/08/2008, -0/+5To use your S+M example: if a major candidate were found to practice S&M it would INDEED be a major character issue, and not in their favor.
In most cultures, adherence to mainstream beliefs serves as a rough approximation of fitness to lead. A sociologist, anthropoligist or evoluntionary biologist may generate theories as to why that may be - for example, practices outside the mainstream tend to be practiced by persons who don't fit in well with the mainstream due to innate or learned atypical personalities. It's normal for populations to generate a variety of personalities to allow for changes in the environment, but that doesn't mean you want extremes running things.
I too am being a bit of a pretentious blowhard, but "cultural relativism" has its blindnesses. There are good reasons for disfavoring extremes in selecting leaders, even if by some imaginery objective standard they might be no less odd than the mainstream. - pettyesq, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4This is anti-Christian behavior. These people don't love God because they only concern themselves with violence.
- acroyear2, on 09/08/2008, -0/+4I'm also just being a pretentious blowhard, so don't get too worked up.
- Echota, on 01/05/2009, -1/+5What the heck are you talking about! Hati? What's Hati got to do with Sarah Palin and her being Vice President?
And Palins religion isn't a "tradition" it's a cult,very big difference.
When a person of a "cult's view's and belief's" might make it into the White House and might even become POTUS that is a problem. We want a logical thinking person in control.
This isn't paranoia,it's a Fact! -
