"WILLIAMS: --that you both have been hammering the Obama campaign on. What-- first of all, what in your mind is a precondition?
PALIN: You have to have some diplomatic strategy going into a meeting with someone like Ahmadinejad or Kim Jong-il, one of these dictators that would seek to destroy America or her allies. It is so naive and so dangerous for a presidential candidate to just proclaim that they would be willing to sit down with a-- a leader like Ahmadinejad and just talk about the problems, the issues that are facing them. So that-- that's-- that's some ill-preparedness right there." - Insightful, on 10/23/2008, -0/+9It sure is a bitch when Bush's democracy doctrine backfires, such as when Hamas and Hezebollah came to power through (mostly democratic) *election*. In fact, Rice learned about Hamas' election victory while on a treadmill.. at her home gym... watching the new... just like me. Seriously, I could have ran the State Department better than Bush.
- JenniferInMO, on 10/23/2008, -0/+7I don't think you are getting the point. She doesn't know what the word "preconditions" means. Please see quote I cut and pasted below.
- chosenson, on 10/23/2008, -0/+6And she never told Brian Williams "what in her mind was a precondition".
- oldgal, on 10/23/2008, -0/+5Not a clue.
- MediaWeasel, on 10/23/2008, -0/+3To say what is in her mind is to make the assumption that she has one.
- chosenson, on 10/23/2008, -0/+3JenniferInMO, why answer this antagonistic person. They know full well what Bush has to do with Palin besides being in the same party. For one, Bush's handlers are Palin's handlers, that's why she sounds as dumb as Bush when trying to explain key issues -- and failing!
- badradio, on 10/23/2008, -12/+1and what exactly does bush have to do with palin? same party? r u really that ignorant? do you really think that discussing policy with people who believe that the holocaust never happened without conditions ahead of talks could lead to anything good for the world?
