- muckemuck, on 08/29/2008, -33/+254It's a blatant attempt by the GOP to win over the Hillary voters and Ron Paul crowd. Not going to happen though. Sorry. McWar was the last straw for me.
- oconnor11, on 08/29/2008, -31/+251She may really like Ron Paul but to support McCain, no way. I won't allow McCain to manipulate my vote this way. How 'bout he step down and let her run! That might work. She might be better qualified for the job.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -14/+207If she likes Ron Paul so much, she can skip out on McCain's convention, and go across town to where the real action is...

- DukeLeto2, on 08/29/2008, -18/+166Not to worry. Ron Paul people will never vote McCain. Hell, there are whole factions of the republican party that may not.
- StingingNettle, on 08/29/2008, -23/+149Wow, an opportunistic politician! Who what of thought. Ron Paul and McCain mix like oil and water. McCain being the oil, and Paul being a cool refreshing drink of water.
- King0007, on 08/29/2008, -17/+135How can she like Ron Paul and then get the VP nomination? McLame is 100% opposite of Ron Paul views....
- rv361162, on 08/29/2008, -40/+136What is she, 'like' 19 at a sorority house?
- N3tw0rk, on 08/29/2008, -9/+103She also endorsed Obama's Energy Plan on her website. It used to be here, but now it mysteriously vanished: http://www.gov.state.ak.us/news.php?id=1384
But guess what? Google cache caught it!

- DjLoTi2, on 08/29/2008, -13/+63I am so surprised that she signed on with McCain! It makes so much more sense for Ron Paul to run again in 2012 and for her to be the VP after she gets more experience. I think she's great but ... McCain is an embarrassment and I'm sad that she's with McCain because I want her to lose ... It's such a sad state of events.
It's obvious the republican party is trying to please Ron Paul republicans, more conservatives, and hillary voters in one quick move. Someone should ask her, "what do you tell the people who hate McCain but like you?".
McCain should never win and it's way too early for Palin to become PRESIDENT (which is what would happen if McCain dies) ... McCain is a horrible person and sold out the country, killed our troops and is *literally* run by lobbyist. I hope America doesn't shame herself by electing McCain, but ... hopefully some sense is made out of this because Sarah Palin is great and is very, very different from John McCain.. just another example of republican party tricks... As if the people don't know they are so different... why would they be together? It makes no sense. How old was she when John first started his career?
It's the party's way of trying to win the election, and I hope it doesn't work. It's actually kind of sad. - Todash19, on 08/29/2008, -19/+64MILF
Sorry , has to be said. - TheThirdLevel, on 08/29/2008, -8/+52Well..... here's the truth.
http://i34.tinypic.com/2hs89om.png - juankovo, on 08/29/2008, -9/+42Palin may just be an empty move to pull (some) Paul supporters' votes back from Barr and Baldwin. Proceed with caution.
- jd33, on 08/29/2008, -5/+38"Sarah Palin plugs Ron Paul" - giggity.
- troydiggs, on 08/29/2008, -3/+36that interview was 6 months ago
- stew00mz, on 08/29/2008, -7/+34From the little bit I have read about her, I like her. I still hate McCain but since he seems to be one angry out burst away from a stroke, I think she was a good pick.
- Xihix, on 08/29/2008, -9/+36I'd hit it. Hard.
- Thinbev, on 08/29/2008, -8/+35Even if she's VP, McCain will still want to attack Iran and Russia. I don't want to be drafted to fight these bogus wars.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -3/+28She was being interviewed by mtv. You have to try hard to sound stupid enough to get your points across to mtv viewers.
- malex, on 08/30/2008, -1/+25It's fairly common vernacular... unless said more than twice in a sentence.

- postaldave, on 08/30/2008, -1/+22that is what those little red and green buttons are for.
- Lionhart, on 08/30/2008, -0/+21Imagine my shock in 9th grade in 2000 when I heard Bush won despite more than half of the country not voting for him.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -9/+29She is like many politicians... ever changing to adapt to what people want her to be.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -8/+28McCain / MILF 2008
FTW!!! W00T! - DivisibleByZero, on 08/30/2008, -5/+25Eh, McCain will die of old age within like 3 weeks of taking office anyhow.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -2/+21nice work
- tekhak, on 08/29/2008, -8/+27If Palin is what it takes to get Ron Paul on Digg more then Obama, then Go Palin!
- paulright, on 08/30/2008, -1/+18you probably meant snake oil
- juankovo, on 08/29/2008, -1/+18Or perhaps she's working on her resume for a presidential bid down the road.
- OgonGuitarist, on 08/30/2008, -2/+18Your vote is your choice, but if you're seriously migrating to McCain from Paul, you clearly had not the slightest grasp of what Paul stood for. Paul was my first choice, and I'm leaning towards a third party candidate, but how the hell is McCain the lesser of two evils?
Constitutional rights? McCain supported the FISA bill without hesitation. He didn't even question is legality. I don't expect anything from Obama on this issue, but at least he's questioned the legality and claims he'll revisit it in office, as well as the legality of all executive orders.
Your contempt for the RIAA and internet privatization would be the issues to drive you towards Obama rather than McCain. Obama has been unequivocal about his support for net neutrality. McCain says "let the markets work their course". A McCain presidency guarantees internet goes the way of TV.
If McCain provided specifics about reducing spending and reducing the size of government, I might listen. But there's no way in hell he's going to do that. The traditional Republicans are gone. The neoconservatives are here to stay, and that means bloated budgets and insane spending on defense, Iraq, and any new wars they decide to start.
Reconsider. Barr, Baldwin, or even Nader or McKinney are much better alternatives. - TheThirdLevel, on 08/29/2008, -12/+28Poor Sarah.... http://i34.tinypic.com/2hs89om.png
- whataboutdave, on 08/29/2008, -3/+19You assume that most Ron Paul supporters would have voted for Barr in the first place (and that Barr is a real libertarian at all, but that's another story).
- DatVillain83, on 08/30/2008, -10/+26McCain compares Obama to Paris Hilton yet he takes the 1984 runner-up in the Ms. Alaska beauty pageant!
- groo68, on 08/30/2008, -3/+18unfortunately oil floats to the top.
- More4, on 08/30/2008, -3/+18McCain criticized Obama, claiming he put politics above country. Does McCain really think this is the second most qualified person to be the leader of the free world? How about it McHypocrite?
- hollering, on 08/30/2008, -8/+22This is unreal. Read some of her history. She is an excellent pick. I won't be voting for McCain because he's still McCain but this woman excites me. Do some research before you start trashing people. There's only one Ron Paul. We need to keep our eyes and ears open for good politicians. True, she signed onto the McCain ticket, which is questionable, but I don't think she's selling out... more like trying to impact the political landscape. Check her bio. She's as close as you get to one of us. Paul people should be excited.
Besides, it frees libertarian Republican voters to vote 3rd-party in hopes of getting the LP funding for the next round. - inactive, on 08/30/2008, -2/+16Ron Paul is not running in 2012. Are you delusional? He'll be 76, it's time for him to pass the torch to younger politicians who share his views.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -2/+15No.
- jimmytootime, on 08/30/2008, -0/+12Five kids. You'd have too.
just saying. - feliks2, on 08/30/2008, -1/+13Imagine my shock when during my history class in ninth grade, in 2004, our teacher informed us that Bush won because half the country voted for him.
- DukeLeto2, on 08/29/2008, -7/+18Wait a minute... last minute opening for a speaking slot at the RNC?
no? that's what I thought. - bradspangler, on 08/30/2008, -0/+12No.
- loudintl, on 08/30/2008, -0/+12Right on, man.
- groo68, on 08/30/2008, -4/+15well actually since the polls are so close it might mean mccain gets the whitehouse. I just don't get how half the country can be so stupid as to vote for him.
- samthurston, on 08/30/2008, -0/+11yes but it also burns.
- inactive, on 08/29/2008, -4/+15Huckabee also talked about prayer and the lord in every other sentence, that's not going to play with any audience outside of the religious right. McCain would only further alienate himself, rather than capitalize on all the upset Hillary supporters.
- inactive, on 08/30/2008, -4/+15As much as it kills me to digg MTV, I must do so out of the overwhelming relevance of the story.
It is a big deal that she was willing to praise the man that McCain criticized most frequently during the debates.
It is also a big deal that McCain was willing to choose someone who was independent enough of the republican establishment that she could do so without fear of retribution. Since she will more than likely be running for president in 4 years (IMO mccain will not seek reelection), its good knowing that she isn't beholden to the same interest groups that have been ruining the nation the last 8 years. -
