- michaelpinto, on 09/06/2008, -80/+499Sorry Republicans - we're not going to fall for the trap of talking about Sarah (and Rove's culture war wedge issues) when there are REAL issues on the table like jobs, health insurance and Iraq.
- DeadBabySoup, on 09/06/2008, -45/+249ugh....NEXT WEEK:: "Sarah Palin eats babies"
- kingofinternet, on 09/06/2008, -62/+246i don't give a ***** about republicans or democrats
what i do care about is exposing evangelical christian hypocrisy.
more power to the national enquirer. - lopla, on 09/06/2008, -51/+222Trust me. Evangelical power bitches have affairs. I know.
- DD2CC2U, on 09/06/2008, -82/+239McCain has started a cover up of a Corruption Probe in Alaska about Palin. McCain plans to fire the head of the investigation and PUT HIS OWN PEOPLE IN CHARGE. McCain is just as corrupt as Bush. Corruption!
- Phocion55, on 09/06/2008, -24/+174Right. The 10 stories that were posted examining "baby bumps" on pictures of Palin's daughter was really "sticking to the issues".
i'm all about a good healthy debate of the "issues".......but you're certainly not going to find it on Digg. - rootnik, on 09/06/2008, -65/+154This is dumber than the "Trig is really not Sarah's baby" story... which, BTW proved to be false.
People are assuming that just because this guy attempted to get his records sealed that Palin MUST have had an affair with him. No proof of any affair.
Who needs proof anyway? Definitely not Digg users or the extreme left. We'll just make a story up. - JLSN, on 09/06/2008, -59/+141I think it is pretty obvious that Caribou Barbie is a nasty evangelical power bitch.
A quick synopsis is:
1. Abuse of power scandal AKA troopergate, working on a cover up
2. Banning Books
3. Endangered her last baby
4. Attended 5 colleges in 6 years
5. Injected hardcore evangelical politics in non partisan role as mayor of wasilla
6. Failed with her own daughter regading abstinence and family values
7. Denies the reality of climate change.
8. Has close ties to big oil
9. Was for the pork barrel projects before she was against them
10. Wants to impose her will on women and deny them choice.
11. Believes the Earth is only 6000 years old.
12. Probably had an affair.
13. Has little experience, like Obama, but Obama fought to the top, she was chosen by 1 guy.
Did I leave anything out???? - Ravatar, on 09/06/2008, -10/+74We ***** impeached him. I don't think thats "a pass" by any means.
- loqqq, on 09/06/2008, -22/+70Whew. I haven't seen a Palin front page story for a while. I was beginning to think Digg had gone mainstream.
- Dundasbro, on 09/06/2008, -2/+40I'm thinking he got cheated on by one.
- Outdoor83, on 09/06/2008, -23/+60I don't care who she plays "hide the stick" with. We gave B. Clinton a pass on this one as he was a good president and, in the end, if he / she does the job, I don't care what they do on their personal time.
We should be sticking to real issues, like is she qualified to do her job. Same with the democrats. All of this is just distraction. - Qumahlin, on 09/06/2008, -10/+46Exactly. I don't care what team your on, if your going to stand in front of a crowd and preach to people about your values and condemn those that don't share them the worst thing you can do is get caught being a hypocrite.
- richirwin, on 09/06/2008, -24/+58Scott Alan Richter.
He has tried, unsuccessfully, to have his divorce records sealed.
Developing... - jarroddowalter, on 09/06/2008, -20/+53the national inquirer... haha why do people believe that crap?!
- nopow, on 09/06/2008, -32/+65Digg liberals have resorted to quoting the National Enquirer. I hope as many people see this as possible
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -22/+53She got flirtatious? Oh, horror!
- Wakkyweed, on 09/06/2008, -7/+36Sure they have affairs, but just try to get a good blow job out of one. Uptight bitch = crappy sex.
- eigenweasel, on 09/06/2008, -1/+29Or hid a wireless camera in the cupboard that overlooks one's bed and taped a condensing microphone to the underside of the bed to get the audio and then synced them with VirtualDub.
Um, I hear that people do that kind of thing. - Fivefeetunder, on 09/06/2008, -35/+63The newest plank in the Republican platform: FLEXIBLE FAMILY VALUES
- inactive, on 09/06/2008, -2/+27you know because you banged one or are one?
- Barbarino, on 09/06/2008, -13/+37Ummm how can McCain fire anyone??? I can't believe you people get dugg up for this stuff....
Digg really sucks now... - nickymouse, on 09/06/2008, -24/+46Two words...national enquirer. nuff said
- QaSpel, on 09/06/2008, -21/+42And the primary source for this article? The National Inquirer.
Although it does appear that they were the first one to break the pregnant daughter story. Even a broken watch is right twice a day. - boydrew, on 09/06/2008, -6/+27its really frustrating when you receive no info on her actual views on a site that should be at the forefront of user-submitted news. instead finding filth about pregnancies and affairs that are baseless.
- the2989, on 09/06/2008, -21/+42buried for national enquirer
- u8muhrice, on 09/06/2008, -10/+31Seriously, whats with all these bashing Palin threads? Does anyone AT LEAST suspect that this rumor is false? I mean after all, is the National Inquirer. If anyone has at least 1/4 of a brain, they should know that its a gossip magazine.
Does anyone remember Obama voting FOR the President being able to grant US private citizens to ilegally search our houses? Oh yeah, that did not make digg now did it, its only GOP bashing here. - germ5150, on 09/06/2008, -6/+26Please list your sources for this unbelievable story that no one in the MSM or Leftwing blogs have broken.
- rrbaker, on 01/15/2009, -1/+21Thank you for clarifying that, Senator.
- innocentsinner, on 09/06/2008, -10/+30For me, it's not so much me caring who she's doing what with. It's more the "family values" stances that most Republicans have. Don't forget the sanctity of marriage, and how the damn promiscuous heathen ***** are threatening it.
It's the hypocrisy that bugs me the most. I haven't heard Palin harp on family values stuff as much as others, but I'd be pissed if I found out that she, say, had an abortion. Personally, I'm very pro-choice and wouldn't mind, but given that she strongly opposes abortion, it would be different. - Aidenag, on 09/06/2008, -11/+31That's what i said when they broke the John Edwards Affair story... Now im a bit more hesitant to discount anything the National Enquirer does in regards to politics.
Take the NE part out of it, and it still stinks to high heaven of an affair. Just look at the guy she had the affair with. He just tried to get his divorce proceedings made secret once this story broke... As in, his wife probably knew, and is using it as a reason for the divorce... - murmandamos, on 09/06/2008, -11/+31you're skewing the evidence, there is no evidence of her eating babies.it's just like you libruls to go and demonize one of our own because of one picture where she is nibbling on the carcass of an infant. she admits to the incident but swears she didn't swallow the piece of meat in question. innocent until proven guilty.
- refisawanker, on 09/06/2008, -7/+26Ha Ha Ha!!! Have you seen the front page of Digg for the past week? That's all that it's about.
I do agree it's irrelevant and completely stupid. Sketchy stories with no named sources that don't meet any journalistic standard. Unfortunately, the rabid Obama supporters will Digg up and support ANY story that is negative, no matter how dubious.
What they fail to realize is that ultimately it will backfire. It keeps the policy issues off the table where Obama is strong and Bush and by extension McCain is very weak.
But the masses are too stupid to figure it out. - Firethorne, on 09/06/2008, -2/+21I'm sorry, and I'm not trying to be combative here, just honestly trying to understand your comment. Isn't this article doing exactly what you're saying you're not going to do? Things like this have been on the front page since Palin was announced as the pick, not articles about jobs, health insurance, and Iraq. If thats what you're wanting to happen, cool. I just don't see it.
- SRSco, on 09/06/2008, -3/+22Not that I believe this story. But hello! John Edwards? That story was pursued and broke by the National Inquirer. Sometimes they're right.
- murmandamos, on 09/06/2008, -1/+20there is no investigation because there is no evidence. don't you think fox news would have broken that story a long time ago? republicans seem to have a monopoly on corruption for the time being with all of the sex scandals, the bribes, oh and a ***** war.
- 3gibberish4q57, on 09/06/2008, -2/+20Dugg down for the use of the word "libtards". Is "liberal" just not childish enough for you?
- enclaved, on 09/06/2008, -3/+21I heard she's muslim.
- mnocket, on 09/06/2008, -30/+47I agree. It seems like all the democrats and media want to talk about is Palin. It must be frustrating when the primary comparison being made is between your presidential candidate and the other party's vice presidential candidate. It's almost like the democrats have their ticket upside down.
- bobcrowbar, on 09/06/2008, -35/+52Good job democrats, you managed to get an article on the front page that takes its cues from THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER. Next time you're standing in the line at the supermarket pick up a copy and check your horoscope which should read something along the lines of..
'You're a moron." - rootnik, on 09/06/2008, -6/+22Are you for real? The Trig story was that Bristol was actually his mother. Unless she can give birth to 1 baby while carrying another... it has proven to be false.
- ScienceDoc, on 09/06/2008, -49/+65Palin is a nightmare. People need to know. This Country cannot afford any more of this McSame-Puppet neocon crap.
- Dralha, on 09/06/2008, -21/+37"Family values" LOL
- Elohir, on 09/06/2008, -7/+23Because God knows, no republicans paid any attention to the ENQUIRER breaking the Edwards affair story.
- seanohara, on 09/06/2008, -3/+19The Smoking Gun has looked over the divorce papers, and the Palins are only mentioned because they co-own a cabin with the couple. The request to seal the records says that the guy is tired of reporters using the records to get his phone number and show up at his house.
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2008/09 ... - BlueSun03, on 09/06/2008, -3/+19Seems to me that it was the National Enquirer was the paper that first broke the Edwards adultery scandal and was also derided as crap - until it turned out to be true.
As they say, "even a blind pig finds an acorn now and then."
btw, the Inquirer is Philadelphia's largest main-stream daily newsaper - mithrasinvictus, on 09/06/2008, -8/+23While the pregnancy thing could be seen as relevant because of the life/choice thing (i don't). This is clearly about her personal life. (unless she starts saying things like adulterers should be stoned) The Clinton affair should have remained a personal matter and so should this. There are enough topics that deserve more attention than this.
- regeya, on 09/06/2008, -8/+22"If it weren't for us, we wouldn't find out that her daughter was pregnant (Proving her policies are wrong)."
No, it's just an ad-hominem attack.
Look, I also believe that abstinence is right and that abortion is almost always wrong. If, however, when my daughter goes through puberty, if she were to get pregnant out of wedlock and have the kids, has she invalidated all my beliefs? ***** no.
If someone discovered a way to PROVE that the events of Christ's crucifixion were 100% factual and that there really is a God, does that invalidate the scientific method? I hope you can answer 'no' to that without straining too many braincells. - macmcteague, on 09/06/2008, -8/+22http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2008/09 ...
There's nothing in those divorce papers -- the guy just didn't want reporters calling him. Now can we leave this stupid ***** to the Enquirer? Democrats aren't doing themselves any favors by pursuing these stories. Go after Palin on her real vulnerabilities, not these insipid rumors. - ZenMojo, on 09/06/2008, -0/+14Or both? That'd be hot. Very wrong but very hot.

What is Digg?
