- stgben, on 09/19/2008, -10/+121Palin: What is the difference between her ass and her mouth? Lipstick.
- jamesalfaro, on 09/19/2008, -6/+114At this rate, McCain's Campaign to Nowhere will run out of steam by November. There is just too much tangible dirt on these two. How is Obama not crushing these morons in the polls?
- stormkrow, on 09/19/2008, -5/+84I'll keep posting my comments for "Republicans" detached from reality.
I've said it before and I'll say it again there are NO republicans in the republican party and a vote or support for McCain/Palin is tantamount to accepting everything over the last 8 years. In my mind if you support this party that means you have to OWN everything that goes along with it you don't get to pick and choose if you whole heartedly support the GOP then you OWN all of it's failings too and that diggers is the cold hard reality of it all and I'm sorry to say it but it makes you a hypocrite of the highest magnitude.
Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, Katrina, FISA, the Patriot Act, Stevens, DeLay, Abramoff, Enron, Worldcomm, 9-11, Gonzalez, Rove, CEO bail outs, Plamegate, loss of Habeus Corpus, Shredding of the Constitution, $4 gas, Voter caging in Ohio and Florida, racism against illegal immigrants, LGBT hate crimes, "Mission Accomplished", 1 Million+ Iraqi civilian causalities, 1 Million+ Casualties and refugees in Sudan/Darfur, 10,000 fold increase in heroin production, the worst "Dollar" in American history, 6.1% unemployment (conservative), tent cities, 40 Million+ uninsured, Walter Reed, Drill our way out, from the most respected to the most hated citizens on Earth, Coalition of the Billing, multi-billion dollar profits for Big Oil, mulit-billion dollar contracts for Halliburton, the most secretive gvt in modern history, commuting of sentences for convicted traitors, Supreme court standing by big business, Gulf War Syndrome vets class action lawsuit quashed, Abstinence Only education, public schools failing our children, bridges collapsing in Minnesota, our highway and infrastructure in complete disarray, the fight for Net Neutrality, 8,000 dead Americans, ........
OWN IT GOP Supporters. OWN IT. Lock, Stock and Barrel.
When you post up your support of McCain/Palin then you by default agree with and standby the short list noted above. NO you don't get to pick and choose, this is YOUR party, OWN IT. Yes a vote for McCain/Palin IS a full throated endorsement of the Bush Administration. PERIOD. End of discussion. The Republican party didn't change and to think that it did is a level of naivety that should only be displayed by toddlers. Once you decide to actually OWN your party and all of it's failings THEN you can digg me down. - inactive, on 09/19/2008, -5/+81She built a road to a bridge that wouldn't exist, and she built a hockey rink on land whose title wasn't clear. VP!
- SOS84, on 09/19/2008, -8/+61A lot of Americans are pants on head retarded.
- duckley, on 09/19/2008, -6/+57Former Rhode Island Republican Sen. Lincoln Chafee has called vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin a “cocky wacko” and said her selection as John McCain’s running mate has energized supporters of Democrat Barack Obama.
- letdowntourist, on 09/19/2008, -3/+51Probably because no one has asked anyone with a cell phone yet.
- anonblog2008, on 09/19/2008, -3/+45Let me get this straight...US taxpayers paid for a road to a non-existant bridge that Palin said Alaska would build if they wanted it, but did not build it because it would be wasteful spending of money from US taxpayers. Classic!
- DDayDawg, on 09/19/2008, -5/+46Damn it's getting hard to filter through all the lies in the McCain/Palin campaign. Maybe that's the strategy, hit us with so many we can't possibly filter through them all!
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -2/+29Like I said the redneck base of the Republican party does not care about these details, and will vote for these two ***** come election day.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+27You said it right there. Polling institutions use old methods.
More people are ditching landline services and are living with their mobile phones than ever, especially college students and adults under 30. Polling and statistics gathering organizations don't reach these constituencies. - Rotzooi, on 09/19/2008, -1/+27I'm sure not as much crap passes through her ass as it does her mouth.
- scheibs14, on 09/19/2008, -0/+22I've wondered why I nor any of my friends have ever been polled before. And I can count the friends that will vote McCain on the middle finger of my right hand

"You can see Russia from Alaska!" - enki25, on 09/19/2008, -0/+20Yup, pants on head alright.
- brutusx, on 09/19/2008, -1/+21Yes to the road to the bridge.
No to the bridge at the end of the road that goes to the bridge.
Am I understanding this? - birdly, on 09/19/2008, -3/+22Last stop for the Straight-Talk Express. Now boarding, the Blatant Lies Trolley!

seriously, read the rest of this guy's comments. it's like a seven year old's attempt to mock democrats. dont bother making a serious response. - clickx, on 09/19/2008, -0/+18Okay. Who built the airport on the wrong side of the water?
- MrPotato, on 09/20/2008, -0/+16Warning: The Content in this Reply May Hurt GOP supporters' feelings
As a former Ron Paul support I will be voting for Obama in November. stormkrow nailed it, hit it out of the park. As a rational, thinking adult, I can no longer support the party for the reasons cited. But more than that, as a delegate to my state's GOP convention I was treated like a criminal when I arrived at the event; made to sit in a segregated section of the main hall forced to wait until the party "faithful" (that herd of zombies) said "OK, you can sit with us" with a show of hands.
I cannot say that I can fully understand how humiliating it was during segregation to be made to sit where the white man said you could, but I can tell you that for the first time in my life I believe I can relate to it.
The GOP - You will not find a more retched hive of scum and villainy in the universe. - FredFredrickson, on 09/19/2008, -0/+16Wouldn't expect much more from someone who can't even spell 'sentence' properly.
- 4321234, on 09/19/2008, -0/+15Exactly. Just look at where the policies McCain embraces have got us so far. Who would want to tamper with that?
- ScienceDoc, on 09/19/2008, -23/+38If she's talking, she's lying. She would have been the perfect Nazi.
- scoetrain, on 09/19/2008, -4/+18The list of ***** from McPain keeps getting longer and longer. But you know what? Bush was reelected in 2004. These ***** will get elected.
- inactive, on 09/19/2008, -3/+17Why do you hate our troops?
- Depthfunction, on 09/19/2008, -0/+13All I know is that if I have to hear her say "Thanks but no thanks on that bridge to nowhere" one more time in that annoying Canadian-esque accent of hers, I'm gonna shoot myself.
It's pretty much a given that she'll use that line during the VP debate, though. In fact, I'll bet most of her debate answers will be warmed-up lines from her nomination speech. - avianeddy, on 02/17/2009, -0/+13I know it looks laughable for the Reps .... but NEVER underestimate the Dark Side!
I was laughing too in Sept. '04
Keep your guard up - Kinsbane, on 09/19/2008, -1/+14How many ***** nails does this coffin need before people wake the ***** up?
- EtherGnat, on 09/19/2008, -0/+12Nobody in Congress necessarily "voted for funding the Bridge", exactly. That's the problem with earmarks. They're tied up in huge bills and you have to vote against the entire thing if you don't like part of it. If Obama had voted against the bill that funded the bridge to nowhere people would be criticizing him because he voted down funding for some other project.
That's why I really think we need a Presidential line item veto. I'm leery of giving the President too much power, so I propose a line item veto could be overridden by a simple majority in Congress. It'd force them to go on record voting specifically for pork, though. The only problem I see is that it could lead to increasingly partisan politics (and would require a Constitutional amendment). - Wilarseny, on 09/19/2008, -0/+12cocky wacko still sounds like a breakfast cereal to me
- Dumbledorito, on 09/19/2008, -1/+13If she hadn't kept bringing it up by boldly saying she said "thanks, but no thanks," then I don't think it would get talked about so much, now would it?
- jeffkee, on 09/19/2008, -1/+13I wonder if Palin even knows what a cul-de-sac means...
- FredFredrickson, on 09/19/2008, -3/+14How could anyone possibly be excited about McCain and Palin at this point? Every day it's just another pile of lies, deceit, and *****.
If these two were my party's candidates, I probably wouldn't vote for the alternative, but I would definitely consider just not voting at this point. At least that way, if they are elected to office, you don't have to suffer the shame and embarrassment of being responsible for their election and inevitable subsequent failure. - Calcularius, on 09/20/2008, -1/+12"Cul-de-sac means to cut off a gay man's balls" - Sarah Palin
- any1particular, on 09/19/2008, -0/+11Dishonesty is nothing new in politics, Winston Churchill said "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on" and Adolph Hitler was quoted as saying “Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it” which probably explains why some modern day politicians keep repeating the same lies over and over even after they have been debunked. Factcheck.org a non partisan group that debunks misleading ads from both campaigns has called the latest ads by one candidate for president "particularly egregious".
Have the lies already worked on you? Have you already fallen for the propaganda? Valdimir Lenin the former communist leader of the Soviet Union knew a thing or two about propaganda. He said “A lie told often enough becomes truth”. So have you been falling for the empty propaganda that some politicians have been spewing in our direction? Or are you going to stand up and show the world that American voters are not as stupid as some of our politicians take us for.
It is time for voters to put aside the wedge issues that the campaigns and lobbyist always use to manipulate and trick us into voting against our own best interest. Put aside abortion, gay marriage, wars, religion, etc. We will not have a country to be able to fight for or against those issues if the economy gets worse. Our current economy is destroying families, causing mental breakdowns and hardship for millions. Put aside party lines, put aside racism, put aside it all and think of your country as a whole. One thing I think everyone can agree on is that America wins when the economy works for everyone. Get educated, learn the truth, vote smart, and help spread the word.

- IIAmusedII, on 09/19/2008, -0/+11Almost a thousand diggs as I type this and it hasn't been "buried as inaccurate" by the McCain staffers and the idiot ditto-heads yet? Wow, the rightards are getting sloppy, or maybe they're finally leaving Digg altogether.
- mrswirl, on 09/20/2008, -0/+11She campaigned for governor by supporting this project. There's even a nice little photo of her holding up a t-shirt about it - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Palin_nowhere.j ...
And while it's true that she did cancel the project after she got elected, arguably it was primary due to the fact that the bridge had become a political albatross and poster-child for pork barrel spending abuse. - ArchieAndrews, on 09/19/2008, -1/+11Ouch, I was ready to ignore this but It stings so much more with the dual question marks.

Facts are hard to beat! - mpittman17, on 09/20/2008, -0/+10Very nicely said. It's a shame people don't take the time to read it; I like it.
- peaceofpie, on 09/19/2008, -0/+10It just seems like stealing to me.
- normlsparky, on 09/20/2008, -0/+9you should have included pictures, so the republicans could understand.
- Nothlit, on 09/19/2008, -0/+9She never claimed she could see it from her house. That was Tina Fey.
- SOS84, on 09/19/2008, -8/+17No, she is the perfect Republican.
- SmilinGoat, on 09/19/2008, -0/+9LOL, i live there. it was horrible idea, the people in my city hated it. in fact the only bridge that has ever had positive feedback in ketchikan (also known as "nowhere" a town with 16k people btw) was a bridge to the mainland which the costs of that bridge would have been compensated in large part to lumber sales from building the road to the other side of the island (and then government funding) that would have connected ketchikan to the BC and in turn to the rest of alaska/united states/mexico you name it. the bridge to the airport is and has always been retarded.
- JoeLinux117, on 09/20/2008, -0/+9Don't forget the 3-million+ American jobs outsourced during the Bush Abomination.
