- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -37/+84That speech was DYNAMITE! Who even remembers what Obama said during his speech? No Greek columns, no dais raised above the audience. The left is going to go on full drama queen mode tomorrow. "Some people use change to promote their careers, others use their careers to promote change." GREAT!!!! I laughed out loud and applauded twice during that speech. I've NEVER done that before! I can hardly wait to hear the hateful rhetoric of the liberal media. Bring on your demonic hatred. Show the rest of the world just who you REALLY are!
- ritubpant, on 09/04/2008, -28/+66Hockey Moms for Palin
- barcelona10, on 09/04/2008, -27/+64No matter what party you are affiliated with--- you must admit Sarah Palin kicked some serious ass. I would love to see Obama respond to this: "A mayor or Governor is kinda like a community organizer... but with actual responsibility." OR "Our opponent has written two memoirs about himself, yet there isn't ONE law or piece of legislation with his name on in, not nationally not in Chicago." OH WOW- I would love to hear the response to that, because frankly I haven't heard it.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -27/+62I was thoroughly impressed - Small town girl brings it home big time!
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -35/+70That speech was insane Sarah Palin is no JOKE!!
- EmitStop, on 09/04/2008, -24/+57Palin had me laughing so hard I almost pissed my pants!
- clickfire, on 09/04/2008, -21/+51The styrofoam Greek columns are starting to crack.
- BullSenor, on 09/04/2008, -18/+46Ever hear Obama off promtor-it's scary and ugly.
- ozymandias2012, on 09/04/2008, -23/+51Screw it. Let's just elect her President.
- davidg11, on 09/04/2008, -21/+49Palin pwned america.
Unlike Hillary, she's a LIKABLE fighter. Watching Hillary complain is like listening to someone run their fingernails across a chalkboard.
Palin? Charming, Witty, then BAM!....right at ya...then throws a warm smile...lol...loved it!
No, LOVE HER! GO PALIN! - inactive, on 09/04/2008, -34/+60Damn Palin was just putting a whoopin on Obama this race is going to get good quickly!! Oh yea she is hot to
- 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -14/+39Palin came out, and in her debut did well. Her convictions came through. Her disgust with the donkeycrat party came through. Her belief that America can and should be better came through. The GOP talking points and coaching.....not so much. She knows energy, she knows budgets, she knows commitment, she knows how to direct and lead. she will never be a good senator or legislator because she will never vote "present". It's not in her blood. She will make a good executive and leader.
- Smaulz, on 09/04/2008, -3/+27Oh, that's right, I forgot Obama doesn't use speechwriters. Good thing..
- BullSenor, on 09/04/2008, -25/+49Perfect choice in Palin. Watch it Biden.
- davidg11, on 09/04/2008, -2/+25I'm an ex Ron Paul supporter.....go for Palin...go for Palin....
I have to believe Ron Paul respects Palin's record. - 17999, on 09/04/2008, -14/+33As hard it has been on her, as unfair as it was for her daughter, the absolute beat-down Palin's been getting this week was a curveball that got hung up right in her wheelhouse. She cracked it right out of the ball park.
She just eviserated Barack Obama and the MSM isn't calling it unfair. Even if they thought she was unfair, they wouldn't be able to say it, because they have been so unfair to her, even by their myopic standards.
Obama's initial reaction, to denigrate small town mayors, and his follow up comments to 60 minutes that he had more experience than she, was a huge mistake.
Obama can now pick the orafice he wants to poop from, because a former small town mayor just tore him a new one. A lot of people who have paid little attention to the elections, but watched that speech last night. That not only will be their first impression of Palin, but the way she field dressed Obama will definitely color their thoughts on him. - btschul, on 09/04/2008, -22/+40I am a registered Libertarian voting for Bob Barr, but after hearing this this speech, I wouldn't feel as bad if I were to vote Republican this year. That's how ***** awesome it was. If it was a Palin/McCain ticket, or a Palin/someone who isn't a senile neocon, I would seriously consider switching my vote.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -9/+26c'mon - give credit where credit is due - she did both...
I was just as surprised at her poise - and wit and charm... - BullSenor, on 09/04/2008, -2/+19She fought off big oil and they fight with the government too
- ButtSmudge, on 09/04/2008, -13/+30Even if you are left leaning and voting democratic like me, you have to agree she gave a very good speech. She was likable and a great speaker. If nothing else, many undecided/middle class/soccer moms will be charmed by her. Her speech today reminded me of Obama 4 years ago, it was the first time he was introduced to the country and how his performance really captivated a lot of Americans.
- louiebaur, on 09/04/2008, -5/+21Agreed she kick ass straight up. She has been getting her ass kicked around for the past 3 days she brought it tonight for sure!
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -5/+21So you're not voting for Obama, then?
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -5/+21I'm in. I would have no problems flipping the ticket. She would crush Obama during a debate.
She would come of as a real person and Obama would "uh" and "um" his way through every answer. - RevAradia, on 09/04/2008, -19/+35o0o0o0o0o0 Sarah's a bad ass....Let's see yesterday she was the Whore of Babylon and Today she's the Savior of the Universe...wonder what tomorrow will bring...?
- 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -3/+18well bt...if you Palin wins this year......consider that she will be front runner for 2012. If she doesn't, the donkeys will relegate her to the denigrated dustbin of upstart libertarian leaning pubs.
This is serious. she brings the libertarian bent to the pubs since goldwater. help make the change!!!! - LibertyForever, on 09/04/2008, -6/+21Forget Biden! I want to see her debate the Community Organizer! Please?
Anyone still doubts this lady can be the Commander in Chief if called upon? - vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -5/+19Not one mention of the economy? You weren't listening were you?
She addressed taxes and energy. - vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -3/+16Wait.. are you two trying to say Obama's speeches aren't negative rhetoric?
LOL! - Dragular, on 09/04/2008, -2/+14Wow you know, now that I think about it, every time Obama makes a speech he mentions McCain. IT'S ALMOST LIKE HE'S OBSESSED.
- 17999, on 09/04/2008, -4/+16Ok, you're sexist.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+14Sorry, that is the other ticket.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -4/+16Biden is terrified of her.
- 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -6/+18hey...she only talked about the donkeys........it's hard not to laugh when you really look at them
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+14This leaves me with a few questions. What age would be OK for a child before a parent can run for VP? Would you lower that age for the presidential candidate? Lastly, What are expecting from the roles of the spouse, other family members and relatives? Basically, she isn't the first to be running for VP and have a family. This shouldn't be seen as anything different from the others.
- vexingmodstwo, on 09/04/2008, -3/+15Ah, so the whole "McCain doesn't get it" wasn't an attack on McCain's credentials during Obama's speech?
- Smaulz, on 09/04/2008, -2/+13Yeah, the left has done a great job this year of "rising above it all", right? Please. And don't worry, Obama's got the whole "something we can all feel uplifted about" taken care. As a matter of fact, he's quite good at blowing happy smoke and flowers up the asses of the idiots dumb enough to believe his *****.
By the way, OHNOES!!!111 She had a speechwriter!!! Obama never had one of those! Wait... - 2612, on 09/04/2008, -2/+13Biden couldn't spell his name without a teleprompter.
- jayzDigga, on 09/04/2008, -3/+14Once again, to me it's a no brainer. Her children will have the best health care in the world because of her position. Also, the opportunity for an excellent education. Two things every parent should try to get for their kids.
- 17999, on 09/04/2008, -5/+16As compared to community organizers.
- rjey, on 09/04/2008, -1/+11Then why is Obama the nomiee for the Democrats?
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -4/+14So sad for you.
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -5/+14it's going to be a good fight the next few months!
- inactive, on 09/04/2008, -2/+11She will stick it to Obama for sure.
- mustangmike53, on 09/04/2008, -0/+9This cracks me up - according to the libs the population of Wasilla is dropping every day. First it was 10,000, then 9,000, 7,500, 7,000, and now 5,000!!!
Dumbasses. - KMye, on 09/04/2008, -3/+12Nobody has risen "above it all" in this campaign, and it's a silly notion to suggest in modern politics. Give credit where credit's due: for it's purposes, it was an extremely well-written speech, and better delivered by Palin than Bush has ever managed...
- seneca, on 09/04/2008, -24/+32I thought the speech was really just mean spirited and as empty as any other political speech. Really the kind of "change" I'm looking for is an end to negative rhetoric like this.
- shauncorleone, on 09/04/2008, -2/+107 year old: Mr. Obama, why are you running for president?
Obama: Because our country isn't what it once was.
Is that not empty negativity? Spoken to a child no less? - 03FightOn, on 09/04/2008, -4/+12After tonight I would have voted Giuliani/Palin.....because she was on the ticket and knew she'd be back to fix Giuliani's mistakes!!!
- ryan83189, on 09/04/2008, -10/+17Palin just beat Obama at his 1# game, speeches and this was her first big one. She can stand up to corruption, and can certainly stand up to personal attacks, and frankly has comparable experience to the oppositions' PRESIDENTIAL pick. Ever wonder why they have resorted to comparing Obama's experience to hers? Because comparing Obama to McCain will never yeild a favorable result for the democrats. I can't wait until McCain speaks tonight, I hope it is just as good.
- RealHyperX, on 09/04/2008, -2/+9She was attacked all week. Why shouldn't she dish some of it back? Makes her look strong. I think she blows Obama away!!
