WE need to do it now while we can win without guns or violence, while we can win with our numbers and our voices, before it is to late.

It would probably be better to ignore these people who hate and want to hurt people, they are beyond help. The best thing is to talk to people who can understand why Obama is the best choice. I think we should ignore them and keep away from them because they are not worth talking to, they will not change. They are possessed by a kind of brain eating disease. Just talk to people who can still think and convince them to get out there and vote for Obama. Find the good people, the kind of people that make America great and beautiful. If you talk using the power of love and truth I believe you can bring more people to help Obama win. Fighting with these people is only going to hurt Obama.

So *MOST* of Alaska was paid for by the lower 48.

Not only is what trogdoor said complete true, but it's was upheld unanimously by the Supreme Court in 1961 (Torcaso v. Watkins). Maryland was requiring a religious test to hold public office, and that was struck down. You're completely wrong on this point, and you're not by any means the first person I've encountered on digg who thinks that states have the right to establish a church or otherwise compel citizens to practice a particular religion. However, there is substantial evidence to indicate that his does what lots of healthy minds do: investigate and participate in religion, whle recognizing that there is a secular world that requires secular solutions.
The argument about whether religion pays its way in our society is still open. I don't think it does, but others argue that it does. It does help some people to make sense of their world. As long as they don't force it on others, it's cool.
Palin fancies some god given mission. That is ***** for people who have other view. She's not qualified for public office until she demonsrates that she can represent ALL the people and find a course that respects and not just "tolerates" the views of others.
