- faceless323, on 10/12/2008, -9/+354they were screamin boo-urns
- splendora, on 10/12/2008, -3/+263According to Fox News, she intentionally brought her daughters with her to shield herself from the anticipated booing:
http://embeds.blogs.foxnews.com/2008/10/11/palin-d ...
Not only is this an incredibly sleazy move from an increasingly sleazy candidate, but the Fox News report (not surprisingly) seems to think it was a pretty clever idea and that it worked! - grlykool, on 10/12/2008, -9/+231She's a bad mother for putting her kids in that situation.
- jsdratm, on 10/12/2008, -12/+230lol, what a terrible place for her to do PR, especially after that report was released. She should have gone to a red (idiot) state if she didn't want to be embarrassed. I would have loved to have been there to boo her in person!
- Goodanswer, on 10/12/2008, -6/+204I love how she brought her kiddies so they would shout obscenities or throw stuff at her.
Good call Sarah using your children as human shields. - akoostik, on 10/12/2008, -10/+179when and where did booing originate. i love it. booo sarah palin.. boooooooo
- Nitrouz, on 10/12/2008, -3/+172Fans were -- "Carrying signs that read "Get the Puck Outta Here," "Pro-Woman, Anti-Palin" and "McCain, Palin 1908!"
- ShaneinNY, on 10/12/2008, -6/+168Yeah for the peeps waving Obama-Biden signs in the background!! We need to send this Alaskan ***** home - soon.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -4/+157Raise your hand if you saw that coming.
- kezia1, on 10/12/2008, -10/+155Damn. She didn't slip on the ice.
- treehugger87, on 10/12/2008, -6/+150BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Rikushix, on 10/12/2008, -5/+134If you guys are wondering why Palin dropped the puck in Philly of all places, it's because the owner of the Flyers is a bible-thumping Republican.
There you have it. - PTSTech, on 10/12/2008, -2/+131Let me get this straight - she had already been to Philly once, and decided to go back for something other than a scripted event?
Wow - she's dumber than I thought. - DFutureIsNow, on 10/12/2008, -4/+129 America thinks Sarah overstayed her welcome, go back to your igloo you hate preaching biatch.
- netneutrality, on 10/12/2008, -4/+121More to the point, what in flying hell is she even doing anywhere in Pennsylvania? Why are they still wasting money there? Are they getting high monkeys to run their campaign or something? The most recent polls out of Pennsylvania:
Strategic Vision (R) -- 10/5-7/08 -- 1200 LV -- McCain 40 -- Obama 54
Muhlenberg -- 10/3-7/08 -- 602 LV -- McCain 38 -- Obama 50
Rasmussen -- 10/6/08 -- 700 LV -- McCain 41 -- Obama 54
SurveyUSA -- 10/5-6/08 -- 653 LV -- McCain 40 -- Obama 55
Muhlenberg -- 9/28-10/2/08 -- 602 LV -- McCain 40 -- Obama 50
Quinnipiac -- 9/27-29/08 -- 832 LV -- McCain 39 -- Obama 54
FOX/Rasmussen -- 9/28/08 -- 500 LV -- McCain 42 -- Obama 50
It's not remotely a swing state any more. They have not got a flying monkey's chance of turning it red. And while we're on the subject, IOWA?!! Did I read that right? Last polls out of Iowa:
SurveyUSA -- 10/8-9/08 -- 692 LV -- McCain 41 -- Obama 54
Research 2000 -- 9/29-30/08 -- 600 LV -- McCain 39 -- Obama 55
Rasmussen -- 9/25/08 -- 700 LV -- McCain 43 -- Obama 51
Marist College -- 9/18-21/08 -- 467 LV -- McCain 41 -- Obama 51
ARG -- 9/17-20/08 -- 600 LV -- McCain 44 -- Obama 51
SurveyUSA -- 9/17-18/08 -- 702 A -- McCain 43 -- Obama 54
It's a blue state John. Let it go.
Polls suggest McCain is also down, though perhaps only narrowly, in Ohio and Florida. Now McCain simply *CAN NOT* win the electoral vote without BOTH of those. So why is still he campaigning in Pennsylvania and Iowa? They need to campaign flat-out in Ohio and Florida for the next 23 days to secure those states or they are toast. Utter, flying toast. Their reasoning is that they say their campaign's internal polling suggests many states are not nearly as blue as the public polls say, but this is folly: there are a lot of good pollsters out there and I don't see a reason to think they've got it wrong. McCain and Palin deserve to lose for having the most badly run campaign in history.

- grlykool, on 10/12/2008, -6/+108Is she really a hockey mom? Did her kids really even play hockey. I know she said she's a hockey mom but she's a big liar..
- artguyko, on 10/12/2008, -7/+106it really is sad that she would expose her kids to this.
Shouldn't they be at home getting ready for bed.
Responsible moms need to unite. i do feel sorry for the
kids seeing their mom booed by so many people.
they will have to live with this moment the rest of their
lives. - BillOReilly08, on 10/12/2008, -1/+98My friend texted me from the game and he described the boos as very loud. The music might have only been pumped up on TV because he said it wasn't that loud in the arena.
- PurdueJohn, on 10/12/2008, -1/+89Harr Harr. You know, I gave Hillary a lot of crap during the primaries, but she's twenty times smarter than this redneck.
- btcs41, on 10/12/2008, -3/+84Terrible bringing your 7 year old with you just to avoid having things thrown in your general direction. Philly fans showed great restraint!
- rcarroll215, on 10/12/2008, -2/+77It's Philadelphia... we booo everything....
- froston, on 10/12/2008, -4/+67Another reason why Hockey and it's fans are the best in the world. Couple of good fights in the game too!
- somegeologist, on 10/12/2008, -23/+83Better sound here:
http://www.delawareonline.com/blogs/2008/10/boo-bi ... - wizzroom, on 10/12/2008, -2/+62I like how she keeps waving and smiling as if totally oblivious to the booing. Her relationship to the crowd is a microcosm of the campaigns relationship with the majority of America.
- floronicman, on 10/12/2008, -6/+65We dont like her very much in Philadelphia
- Tweets, on 10/12/2008, -5/+63Ed Snider, CEO of the Flyers, is using his team, the Rangers and the NHL as stage props to advance his own political agenda, and it doesn't appear the league can or is willing to do a thing about it. This is how the participation of the Republican Party's nominee for vice president was portrayed in a press release late Wednesday afternoon. Odd that the release omitted reference to Snider's public support of the John McCain-Palin ticket, isn't it?
Snider was host for a Sept. 26 Palin campaign event at the Irish Pub in Center City in Philadelphia. According to records of the Federal Election Commission, Snider donated $50,000 to the Republican national campaign effort between June 24 and June 30, 2008. The NHL, which apparently had no idea of Snider's power grab, has thus far been mute on the issue. Snider has backed Gary Bettman into a corner as if a latter day Don Saleski. This is behavior worthy of league sanctions. http://www.nypost.com/seven/10102008/sports/ranger ... - DFutureIsNow, on 10/12/2008, -1/+53She lives in a damn igloo up in Alaska, she has practice.
- theone3, on 10/12/2008, -2/+52they're not booing her, they're saying "BOOOurns"
- smartsalman, on 10/12/2008, -6/+50I hate palin.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -7/+49Next John McCain will be booed at a prison camp.
- geodebug, on 10/12/2008, -2/+44I was saying boo-urns
- sugarazor, on 10/12/2008, -1/+42Yeah that reaction was really "mixed." Gotta love FOX!
- whalefarmerjohn, on 10/12/2008, -2/+43That's quite tame for Philly standards, she should consider herself lucky she wasn't pelted with batteries.
- iceman0113, on 10/12/2008, -0/+40How bout I just digg you instead.
- weech, on 10/12/2008, -0/+39I love the 4 or 5 people immediately behind her giving her 2 thumbs down the whole time! brilliant! haha
also, nice ***** indiana jones-esque music in the background. could it be any ***** cornier? - netneutrality, on 10/12/2008, -1/+39That's exactly the same video....
- ryan83189, on 10/12/2008, -7/+42Lucky they weren't giving out free ***** (I presume). Philadelphians have been known to throw that stuff. They even snowballed santa one year at an eagles game. I was waiting for her to get a drink thrown in her face as she walked in between the bleachers.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 10/12/2008, -0/+35Oh my God, I think you just discovered the next big scandal.
Seriously though, the way this woman parades her kids around makes my stomach turn. - GregFD3S, on 10/12/2008, -5/+40I love hockey.
- sealink, on 10/12/2008, -1/+35I believe it's the fact that she intentionally used her child as a shield from booing that makes her a bad mother.
Also, Bush's daughters are old enough to ***** up on their own. I have many bad opinions of Bush, but bad father isn't one of them. He's just misguided, like so many social conservatives. - dalnet22, on 10/12/2008, -5/+38The puck drop looks really dumb.
- inactive, on 10/12/2008, -10/+41Que "Isn't it Ironic"
- omegared, on 10/12/2008, -4/+35there both from Alaska and mike richards is a filthy Canadian.

Sarah Palin drops puck at Flyers-Rangers game in Philadelphia to boos http://www.nydailynews.com/news/politics/2008/10/1 ... - SolubleFish, on 10/12/2008, -4/+32I like the cut of your jib. I came here to say that. For that, I give you a thumbs up.
- huckleup, on 10/12/2008, -1/+28'It is spelled Queue'
Actually, in this case it should have been spelled 'Cue'. - diggin1T, on 10/12/2008, -0/+27It was a maverick welcome.
