- livelifelove, on 12/05/2007, -27/+610This is just another sign that the establishment is running scared. It was good to see all the Ron Paul supporters standing up and telling that lady what they really thought of her!
- Nidian, on 12/05/2007, -11/+560They invite Republicans to go to a straw poll and then when people come you don't let them (or anyone else) vote. Disgusting.
- goneresistance, on 12/05/2007, -13/+493This woman is an incredible coward. She obviously does not like Ron Paul, so she cancelled the vote. Unreal. I'm embarrassed to be a Republican right now.

United States Presidential Election Cancelled After Ron Paul Spammers Flood Voting Booths - davidg11, on 12/05/2007, -4/+305This story and video made the front page of the DRUDGE REPORT!
Wait untill the MSM reports on this.
Ron Paul won 10 TIMES running to be a REPUBLICAN CONGRESSMAN. To disallow voting for him in a Republican straw poll is lunacy. I completely understand if he won his congressional seat as a democrat or libertarian. But no. He served 10 terms as an elected republican congressman. - thatguy73, on 12/05/2007, -10/+301"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win."
We're just in the fight stage now... - georgemason01, on 12/05/2007, -15/+283Tip: hide the fact you're a Ron Paul supporter until your vote is cast.
- kemp34, on 12/05/2007, -12/+278This is their idea of democracy? Promote a straw poll and once the supporters show up, the kooky GOP leader lady decides the results won't be to HER liking, so the poll is canceled??! Shame anyone?
- Bensign, on 12/05/2007, -8/+248There are republicans in San Francisco?
- freecon, on 12/05/2007, -4/+242My guess is next year all the straw polls will on electronic voting machines. That way the agenda can be properly manipulated.
- sjl127, on 12/05/2007, -3/+198I'm a republican, and the republican party is really pissing me off now.
- stanzx, on 12/05/2007, -6/+198Total Disgrace GOP
- danielrh9, on 12/05/2007, -4/+174What a bitch. I hope she realizes that her ***** only ended up promoting Ron Paul by ending up here on Digg.
- thewump, on 12/05/2007, -2/+168The system is broken.
- Groovemaster, on 12/05/2007, -3/+163That isn't democracy.
- stephbangm, on 12/05/2007, -5/+160Straw polls are being cancelled left and right: Colorado and now California; They are getting scared! They'll be even more scared when us Ron Paul supporters becomes delegates. We have to become delegates to get Ron Paul the GOP nomination; As delegates, we'll be picking the GOP nominee just like the electors in the electoral college pick the President; Delegates determine and decide who the GOP nominee is---it's that critical!
Become a Delegate or Ron Paul will NOT be President

. - inactive, on 12/05/2007, -3/+154What a sad state of affairs for the Republican Party - I hope these videos go viral.
- stephbangm, on 12/05/2007, -4/+143If the majority of Ron Paul supporters actually vote in the Primaries, we would most likely win. Even if only 5-8% of the public support Ron Paul like the official polls say, only about 5-10% of the population vote in the Republican Primary! That's why it's critical that we have to work hard right now. Just a few people could make or break this election!
===================================== - budsstud26, on 12/05/2007, -6/+134Dear SF GOP,
I am a life-long conservative, a military veteran, 25 years old, and a strong supporter of Ron Paul for President. I was dismayed by the blatant bias against Dr. Paul demonstrated by your organization's choice to cancel the straw poll last night because too many Ron Paul supporters showed up. My understanding is that the entire purpose of a straw poll is to gauge the people's support for different candidates. Apparently your organization has already decided who the anointed candidates are and is unwilling to allow the true voice of the people to be heard.
What disappoints me most is not the fact that you've turned away the supporters of the only candidate who is bringing new and young Republicans into the party. It's not the fact that you obviously disagree with the ideology and beliefs of Dr. Paul and his supporters. What disappoints me the most is the blatant lack of integrity demonstrated by this organization and its leaders. You are clearly more interested in the furthering of your agenda than the ideals of truth, democracy, and fairness, for which you should be deeply ashamed.
I strongly urge you to issue a formal apology to Dr. Paul and his supporters. - BabaRamDass, on 12/05/2007, -2/+118"Why do Paul supporters keep trying stop the political gravy train?"
Same reason you continue breathing even though you're certain you will eventually die. - inactive, on 12/05/2007, -4/+115Faxing black pieces of paper now.....they will pay for this travesty in toner ink!!!!!!!!!
- dafragsta, on 12/05/2007, -3/+110Dude... you cannot be a Ron Paul supporter AND be LEFT of Stalin. Ron Paul supporters are less socialist than the Republicans who support any other candidate. Ron Paul wants to abolish the IRS, which is the backbone of socialism in the United States, you ***** tool.
- Berkana, on 12/05/2007, -14/+120Ron Paul is the only candidate that understands the problems with our debt based monetary system, which is the root of so many of our economic ills. Go Ron Paul!
FYI, those of you who want to spread the word but want something other than a 3.5 hour documentary on fractional reserve banking, here's an animated series that gets straight to the mechanics of of how modern banking works without the centuries of intrigue, drama, and history. If you want to help out getting this news to the front page, perhaps you can help digg a shorter video better suited for people's short attention spans:
Our Debt Based Money System and its consequences
http://www.digg.com/business_finance/Our_Debt_base ...
Get the news out! (And don't forget: Tea party on the 16th! ^_^ ) - Sippi, on 12/05/2007, -1/+101You should never been forced into hiding who you vote for! Thats what they want…
- DokGonzo, on 12/05/2007, -6/+105I love the fact that at the and of that video we can see that there are quite a few senior citizens calling the announcer a fraud and a disgrace. It goes to show that Ron Paul revolution is not just a "young, dissatisfied, anarchist, etc." supporter phenomenon but a real trans generational and non-partisan movement...
- The_Wallbanger, on 12/05/2007, -1/+100I consider myself a Dem, but this injustice deserves a Digg.
- AxeSwinger, on 12/05/2007, -2/+99I'm a citizen and they US Government is really pissing me off.
- Battleloser, on 12/05/2007, -4/+97Kind of makes you wonder how these things worked before the internet, doesn't it?
- zyl0x, on 12/05/2007, -12/+96***** anyone and everyone who says Ron Paul is some kind of "Digg phenomenon".
- davidg11, on 12/05/2007, -4/+88It would only be an issue if Ron Paul's numbers weren't rising and the other republican's weren't falling. With the exception of Ron Paul and Huckabee, everyone elses poll numbers are falling. They peaked too soon. Huckabee just peaked this past week. Ron Paul hasn't peaked yet. His poll numbers still rise. He just polled 9% in New Hampshire, and I expect your double digits will be hit in two weeks.
- EvanVolm, on 12/05/2007, -3/+82Even though this is disgusting, I'm glad people actually went up to that bitch and put up a fight instead of just leaving.
- jrizzo, on 12/05/2007, -2/+77I'm a Human and the stagnant gene pool is pissing me off.
- krinn, on 12/05/2007, -7/+81Another video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IcNK3zYc5ts - takamalak, on 12/05/2007, -4/+75You are embarrassed right *now*?? You haven't been for the past 6 years? I find that hard to believe.
- budsstud26, on 12/05/2007, -1/+71Actually, I was in the Navy, stationed in Italy, and opposed to the war. But way to make a blanket assumption about anyone who has served in the military.
- ronaldst, on 12/05/2007, -2/+72Where are the people supporting the other candidates? Do they exist?
- random19, on 12/05/2007, -4/+71"i'm amazed that with as much money as paul has, he's still in the single digits"
Exactly...you don't think there is something strange about that? Like maybe the national polls are *gasp* wrong? - jtinz, on 12/05/2007, -2/+67Here's a map of the straw poll results of the Republican party:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Straw_poll_resu ... - inactive, on 12/05/2007, -2/+65This makes me mad. Really mad. Is this what the republican party has come to?
- Gm7Cadd9, on 12/05/2007, -16/+77Marked as inaccurate, everyone knows there are no republicans in San Francisco.
Go Ron Paul! - tHePeOPle, on 12/05/2007, -1/+58I'm a PC, and Vista is really pissing me off.
- brstilson, on 12/05/2007, -3/+60If we're going to believe polls, why bother with elections at all? Why not just declare Rudy Guiliani the next president since the Democratic "front-runner" would lose to him according to the polls.
- warchant, on 12/05/2007, -7/+64as a republican these people piss me off
but also, as a republican, it excites me to see young republicans so passionate about change - janeuner, on 12/05/2007, -41/+96Democracy sucks sometimes, doesn't it?
- topherbook, on 12/05/2007, -6/+60Wow. I'm embarrassed to be an American. But I suppose that's not unusual.
- oddmanout, on 12/05/2007, -3/+56supposedly Guiliani and Clinton are leading the polls in their respective parties.... I have yet to meet a supporter of either. of all the people i've discussed politics with, it should be Ron Paul on one side and Barack Obama on the other side (although i wish it was kuccinich.)
- vanza001, on 12/05/2007, -1/+54The whole system is engineered so that these old people hold meetings amongst themselves and elect their delegates (whom they trust to choose who they want, not who's best).
What is a political party really? A group of people who support getting each other elected. Support means alot more than, 'yeah i'd like him to be elected' support actively keeping competition out of the picture.
We need to do more like this. Don't talk about Ron Paul supporters spamming and disrupting this dinner. This dinner is a tiny speck on what is really going on. Ron Paul needs to be up in every dinner, in every meeting and disrupt the people making decisions without our knowledge or consent. - lasko, on 12/05/2007, -2/+52wow. thats probably the stupidest comment i've read on digg. good job.
