Lets take our country back!
For Liberty, take notice of these stellar individual's and support them any way you can. - FightTheFED, on 06/16/2008, -1/+5Pick a candidate who says no to the Federal Reserve. The power of the purse(which Congress is supposed to have - but the real power is given to those who can create the money out of uhhh, oh yeah thin air!!!). Google "Money As Debt"

https://PeterJames08.com - zephc, on 06/16/2008, -0/+3Sorry, but the Constitution Party is quite un-libertarian. While they are down on big government, involuntary conscription, etc., they are also pretty pro-religious, e.g.:
"""We affirm the importance of Biblical scripture in the founders' intent as eloquently stated by Noah Webster: "The moral principles and precepts contained in the Scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitution and laws… All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts in the Bible." """
Sorry, no dice when the LIbertarian party is a better option (though I don't care for their candidate this year, which is why I am still writing in Ron Paul). - smacksaw, on 06/16/2008, -0/+2There are more upcoming Ron Paul stories than Obama right now.
The Obama stories have died since Hillary dropped out. Did it ever occur to you that perhaps Hillary might be the spam? Not much Obama going on these days on Digg. - therealside, on 06/17/2008, -0/+2Hey, the more the merrier! Communist Fascism or Freedom, America...You choose.
- inactive, on 06/15/2008, -2/+4What is it about us that has you so so intrigued?
That you would waste all your time with us loser's?
I think I'm flattered P jeffy2 :)
thanks! - mshtml, on 06/16/2008, -3/+4The only spam I see on digg is for Obama. Here's a guy who was preselected as "top tier" and paraded around the idiot box for 2 years. An easy sell to the general public. Anyone capable of critical thinking realizes he's going to follow the same foreign, domestic and economic policies we've had for decades. They've got a brainwashed population repeating a campaign slogan like it was a detailed platform. This country is ***** and McCain is good for ***** too.
- seth553, on 06/16/2008, -2/+3See, all those points are where I part ways with libertarians. I think Ron Paul could have an important role to play in a socially progressive government, but government is not "inherently bad". Petroleum is in finite supply, and the environment crisis requires immediate action. It would be great if consumers were educated enough to push the these agendas in the right direction, but they're not. And sadly, blind free-market faith and revolving-door politics will only keep it that way.
Not rushing to Conley's rescue here, just voicing my problems with Ron Paul. I do wish Paul could adopt a "change the system from within" mentality, so the Obama administration could embrace his talents. - inactive, on 06/15/2008, -2/+3so what' your idea of a perfect candidate jeffy, I am intrigued...?
- PeppermintPig, on 06/15/2008, -7/+6I have no clue who this guy is:
http://www.bobconleyforsenate.com/
And now I know that libertarians should never vote for him. He shares little in common with Paul, primarily because he lacks an understanding of economics and sees the senate position as a tool to be used to legislate problems away.
From his site:: "Lower Your Gas Prices: Bob Conley sees solutions to reduce your gas prices through the use of alternative energy and conservation. To end our dependence on foreign oil, we need to change our energy policy. Bob will fight for this change by: encouraging more energy production at home, promoting the development of alternative energy sources, wider use of proven alternative energy solutions, and encouraging the use of energy-saving technologies. We’ll regain energy independence and create good jobs in the process!"
How about the taxes associated with oil??? Why spend more tax dollars promoting alternative energy? This is wasteful!
"Iraq: Bob Conley believes it is time to end the occupation, and support our troops by bringing them home!"
Good.
"Jobs & Immigration: Corporate greed is robbing us of our jobs and driving our down our wages. Bob Conley supports secure borders. Corporations that fuel the immigration fire must pay the price. Greedy corporations and unscrupulous businessmen profit, while our working families and taxpayers foot the bill for services for illegals. This is corporate welfare, and it must end.
The legal importation of foreign workers is also driving down wages, and placing Americans in unemployment lines. This is wrong, and must end. Policy needs to change and should be based on what is good for our workers, our families, and our communities – not the bottom lines of corporations and their lobbyists’ demands!"
Stop blaming companies for wanting to compete. That is NOT the definition of corporate welfare, idiot. Corporate welfare is when government gives subsidies and benefits through regulation to corporations.
This guy doesn't have a clue about economics and thinks lower wages are inherently bad. Are high taxes and inflation of the money supply inconsequential to the situation at hand? People who work for lower wages create affordable products that actually help Americans.
This guy sounds like a socialist and a border fascist. Government is only making this problem worse.
I see more to dislike about this guy than favor. - Kangalanatolian, on 06/16/2008, -5/+4CHUCK BALDWIN - Constitution Party for POTUS - The r3VO]ution continues.
