- Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5The "new world order" is the political climate which followed after the political climate known as "balance of power". In other words, "new world order" is the name for the political climate in which the US is the only superpower and capriciously does as it pleases.
"The new world order", when used by sane people like Brown, does not entail illuminati, little gray aliens, freemasons, demons, satan, or a mainstream media conspiracy. "The new world order" when used by the prisonplanet crowd, however, does.
It is important not to confuse those two usages of those four words. They're very different.

This is the "new world order" on acid: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_World_Order_%28conspiracy%29 - Ecowarrior, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@Junkyarddawg: What's the point of having a "New World Order" if it doesn't come with illuminati, little gray aliens, freemasons, demons, satan, or a mainstream media conspiracy?
Without all that cool ***** we should just call it "Same as the Old World Order, only different" - Junkyarddawg, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3No, it's the EU/US opposition to Russian gas pipelines, EU attempts at getting away from its dependency on Russian gas, and the EU/US attempts at keeping the small asian ex-soviet-republics from falling under Russian control again.
Russia has aggressively leveraged its oil and gas and its pipelines to subdue the countries surrounding it (e.g. khazakstan, ukraine but also germany and france). It's also bribed or bought politicians in many countries (the most famous examples are probably ex-chancellor Schröder of germany) and it's fomenting unrest in all ex-republics trying to get closer ties to the west (ie pretty much the entire opposition in Ukraine and Georgia is on Putins payroll).
The antics of Russia have long worried the EU, and recently it seems the US is starting to get a bit worried too.
And apparently Putin thinks that's unfair. - bobthebruce123, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3Either that or the Missile Fight was smoke and mirrors.

You twist the truth. Russia does not want to control any body, but at the same time they don't want these places to be American puppet states full of NATO military bases either. US and EU should stop trying to enclose Russia with their puppet dictator regimes. Russia is just looking out for her own interest here.

That's hilarious, considering that it's a widely known fact that the Georgian dictator and his cronies get their salaries paid directly by the American people and now the US Congress has allocated funds to support civil unrest in Russia and Ukraine. In all of the gas disputes, Russia has always been in the right, never demanding anything unreasonable, except for these sorry ass countries to stop stealing their gas and pay up (very low, bellow-market price fees).

Let's see. Someone comes to your front yard and lays an armed siege to your house, while trying to turn all your neighbors against you. That wouldn't be very fair, would it?
"I wonder when they will stop poisoning their citizens?"
What are you blabbering on about?
This is the whole truth about the current Russia-West relations --> http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article17856.htm - AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Holy *****!

I hear that Woodrow Wilson designed the helicopters himself!!! - ThinkBox, on 10/11/2007, -2/+3Ahhh, Russia, the beacon of economic sensibility and strength in the Eurasian market takes a stand for truth, justice, and the Russian way....

"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name." - Revelation 13:16-17
