***** mainstream spread fear and ignorance, and glorify white trash gutter culture media, got owned by the people! - AtHomeBoy2000, on 04/15/2008, -20/+59That Fox News reporter is going to be fired. She didn't follow the company line that Obama is elitist and out of touch.
- einrobstein, on 04/15/2008, -6/+36"I am not gonna vote for Barack Obama, but he spoke the truth and he is very smart."
It's very disheartening to me that there seems to be a plethora of people who like Obama, think he's smart, think he's not politics as usual and have nothing negative to say about his policies yet still say they won't vote for him. Could someone explain this phenomenon to me? - mochaman, on 04/15/2008, -3/+22Excuse me, the economy has already collapse! Have you heard of $100 dollar oil, subprime meltdown, dollar devaluation etc., should I keep goin?
- SQLserver, on 04/15/2008, -4/+19Yeah ***** right.
Whatever Hillary and Obama could POSSIBLY DO to the economy, it will be no where NEAR as devastating as staying in Iraq as McCain wants.
$4,000 every second.
Plus, imagine the oil situation to worsen, as McCain barely reconizes Oil as a problem. - keishax, on 04/15/2008, -1/+16He isn't white. He has an unusual name. Smears by Clinton and her trolls saying he is Muslim. The man in the video is of the baby boomer generation. And not all see things clearly. It is a shame but it is the world we live in. One guy in in Penn said in an interview that he was voting for Hillary because he liked Bill's speeches. It is the same as those who say that Obama is uppity or arrogant. When I hear those comments I cringe. I think about the things my gramps and gramms said when they lived in the south. Arrogant = Bush, Driven=Obama.
- emeralddragon, on 04/15/2008, -0/+12If Obama is doing so well in PA why isn't he ahead in the polls? How can it be that most people would rather vote for Hillary? Are they somehow deluded?
- whereiseljefe, on 04/15/2008, -0/+12I'm a libertarian, normally I support Republican candidates on economic issues, however the money we spend on the war far outweighs any money wasted on pork barrel and other federally funded projects.
- tunafizzle, on 04/15/2008, -2/+13Hey *****, I'm from Harrisburg, PA (just south of Allentown, since you probabley don't know your state capitals) and Allentown is the third largest city in PA and is far from white trash, I remember going to an impeachment rally and holding signs at a busy intersection and I got many more thumbs up than middle fingers.
Obama is going to take PA.
This could have been done in any city. If you walk down the street in ANY city and ask 200 people what they think about obama, don't you think you could get some obama-haters pretty easily? - pintomp3, on 04/15/2008, -1/+10well, he will be running against a bag of bones.
- nickerbocker, on 04/15/2008, -2/+11DATS RIGHT, I CLICKED THE BURY BUTTON.
- einrobstein, on 04/15/2008, -4/+13Hillary's?
- pintomp3, on 04/15/2008, -1/+9even a broken clock is right twice a day.
- sassip, on 04/15/2008, -1/+8And you can go hunting with Cheney...
- ramd3z, on 04/15/2008, -6/+13I'm from PA and I don't mind one bit. many can be miserable coal cracking downers (or worse - dutch) but I'm still going to vote for him. At least someone speaks the truth. Ever see Silent Hill? based on a town in PA lol.
- Vegiemaster, on 04/15/2008, -3/+10Who says he has nothing negative to say about his policies? I believe that Obama is a very smart man and would make a good president, but that doesn't change the fact that I don't really agree his socialist ideas. You can respect other peoples opinions that they have for their own reasons but not agree with what their saying. Neither side is necessarily wrong, yet we sometimes find ourselves in that mindset.
- themonkman, on 04/15/2008, -2/+9For ***** sake! Enough of the ***** "bitter" stories again. Nobody cares. Hardly anyone cared in the first place. Can't you retards posting this cerebral excrement find any relevant stories? Please, fall on a knife or get stuck on some train tracks already.
- megaton, on 04/15/2008, -1/+8I've lived in rural Pennsylvania (population 100) for the last few years, and I have not gotten the sense that these people are offended by Obama's comment. On top of that, the Ron Paul supporters are VERY prolific here, and their alternative seems to be Obama, without question.
I was concerned, at first, when I heard that PA residents were overwhelmingly in favor of Hillary, but the truth is that they're not. (At least not the rural residents in my location.) I'm pleased to find they have their sight focused on the right candidate, and they're not being dissuaded by superficial attacks from the other candidate.
PA is an interesting place, but my peeps seem to have their focuses set in the right direction... - Steven8890, on 04/15/2008, -0/+7The old guy has some killer shades!
- darwinwins, on 04/15/2008, -1/+8We don't want it to go away. Well some people do but in the bigger picture of things, he's obviously struck a chord with a whole lot of people and the echo chamber just keeps repeating the story till it's beyond saturation point. This is a story that should continue as an issue well beyond spring. It's an issue that's gone neglected long enough and since he's addressed it, it now becomes part of the national dialogue that only punctuates every news story that talks of recessions, high oil prices, unemployment, etc., etc. It's a winning issue for democrats. The republicans are going to have a hard time burying this story now that McCain and Clinton decided to make it one.
- BaldGuy, on 04/15/2008, -0/+6Your mothers! hoooaaah! No seriously, your mom has a penis...

- Rikkochet, on 04/15/2008, -2/+8Capitalism: Let ME do MY thing and the rest of you guys can do whatever you want.
Socialism: The ``rest of you guys`` includes EVERYONE.
The truth: Somewhere between the two. I don`t care where you lie so long as you think and know where you stand and why you stand there. - elipabst, on 04/15/2008, -1/+6The top 1% make $518,000 or more.
"Mr. Obama, an Illinois Democrat seeking his party’s presidential nomination, said in a television interview broadcast Sunday that he supported “rolling back the Bush tax cuts on the top 1 percent of people who don’t need it.”
-New York Times - OverDugg, on 04/15/2008, -8/+13Block politics and quit bitching
- tatinthehat, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5I've seen your type around here. You must remember insanity is a two ways street (or like a 8 lane super highway). There are just as many crazy liberals as there are crazy neo-cons.
Just FYI. - dsoldier, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5You spelled "knew" wrong.
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5No, we think they will try to pay for what they DO spend.
- AlphAssassin, on 04/15/2008, -2/+7well not yours if you keep up with that attitude.
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -1/+6Yeah I was drunk when I wrote this comment yesterday
- elipabst, on 04/15/2008, -0/+5You mean like retarded or mentally ill people? Yeah I'm sure that was their choice in life. Talk about elitists.
- dlsspy, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4I didn't get the impression that she was laughing at the names as much as it was a kind of giggle that he loved his family and wanted to call them out by name in an interview.
- jahurt, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4I think drunken sailors would spend less.
- elipabst, on 04/15/2008, -1/+5It has one of the oldest demographics in the country and older voters are her core. From the polls I've heard, the race is tightening, so that suggests he's doing well (which is pretty much standard for every single state that Hillary has had an advantage in except New York and maybe Mass). 2 weeks ago she was up by 10, last week 9, this week 6. From a mathematical standpoint if she doesn't win by at least 10 or greater, she's done.
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4Because Barack has already won and if Hillary is second in line he will need a taste tester.
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -4/+8Oh good, another story on this same *****. And yet another propaganda site trying to put the libtard spin on it too. So we have heard from crooksandliars, huffingtonpost, and rawstory. Maybe we can get dailykos to put their ***** spin on it too, then we will have all of the propaganda rags who spam digg's "facts" on it.
- DirtPile, on 04/15/2008, -0/+4These interviews could have been made in any state.
- inactive, on 04/15/2008, -10/+14yeah the ronbots are ok, but when there is a legitimate story about a candidate who has legitimate chances of winning, you better bury that *****.
- brad3378, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3This article is a distraction from the real issues in this election.
- Serenikill, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3IT'S BECAUSE HE'S RIGHT!
- elipabst, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3To be honest, I think he should turn this around on both Hillary and McCain. Who's the one out of touch here, McCain and Hillary who think everything is great and think people who lost their jobs are hopeful or Barack who realizes that people might be suffering and be jaded over the fact that they can't put food on the table because their job got shipped overseas? It's nice for all these talking head commentators on Fox and CNN to be aghast at the fact that he might suggest people are bitter, well guess what, I'd be bitter too if the government sat by and watched as they shipped my job and the entire industry that supported my town overseas.
- hillarycat, on 04/15/2008, -2/+5Hillarycat just got word that both the Hillary and McCain camps are dealing with this disaster. How dare that reporter not bash Obama with every breath, how DARE she!?
- casuallyevil, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3There are 15 stories on the front page. Five of them are about Obama. I like Obama. But please, stop this madness. I do not, nay, CANNOT care any longer. I care even less what Rural Pennsylvanians think. I want to skip ahead a couple weeks so I can go back to never hearing about them, or even better a couple months when there's a nominee. Or will it just get worse?
- Scheissen, on 04/15/2008, -10/+13For the love of Digg, make an Obama section so I can block all the spam.
- tunafizzle, on 04/15/2008, -2/+5I live in Harrisburg, PA just south of Allentown.
This is a load of bull. Allentown is the third largest city in PA, and it's split into an upper-class area and a lower class area known for major heroin problems. If you look around hard enough of course you're going to find people that don't support Obama. Don't be suprised if he takes this state with a bit of ease. - Akairenn, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3As a resident of PA, I'll tell you, and be completely politically incorrect about it. As elipabst pointed out - we have more old people here than Florida. Pennsylvania, not Florida, is where old people go to die. And the fact is - old people are afraid of the scary black man. Back in their day, the 'coloreds' had to ride in the back of the bus. Now one wants to be president?! My god, sir, my god! It'll be chaos! Rioting in the streets! The scary black guy is out for revenge! He's going to - *gasp* - empower the negro!
It's terribly sad, but there are a great many old people that are very, very racist; mostly thanks to the era they grew up in. They're old, and they're not going to change, unfortunately. Lest you think too horribly about senior citizens, though, just think - when we're that age, our kids will be waiting for us to die off so they can change the laws to make public nudity the norm or some similarly crazy idea. :p - elipabst, on 04/15/2008, -1/+4I hope you think about that comment every single Sunday when you are in church, because that's what Jesus said to poor people, right, "get a f*cking job you lazy hippies and stop trying to steal my fish".
- spoonchucks, on 04/15/2008, -0/+3FAIL
- psufleish23, on 04/15/2008, -1/+4Harrisburg is just south of Allentown????
Turn your map about 90 degrees clockwise. Better? - JulyZerg, on 04/15/2008, -2/+5Bitter has more than one meaning, retard...
