- shawnfassett, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I read the AP article this morning and there was much to be troubled by in it (mostly because they kept using the phrase 'partial birth abortion') but I was most troubled by the following - The opponents of the act “have not demonstrated that the Act would be unconstitutional in a large fraction of relevant cases,” Justice Anthony Kennedy wrote in the majority opinion.
Anybody else think Kennedy should rethink his position on the court with attitudes that we can remove Constitutional Rights from a few without the risk of removing the rights to all? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Well, if you look at it technically, in the long run: The country has been going in the wrong way, ever since the 60's. Now it's up to the people in power to take us BACK, to when the country was rational, then we can progress along a more reasonable path. One that doesn't end in the decline of the American civilization. It starts with Truman NEVER pulling MacArthur out of Korea.
