- totorototoro, on 11/29/2007, -12/+365That depends if his affair was before or after 9/11. Because, you know, everything changed after that :p
- thebuggalo, on 11/29/2007, -14/+304But he had to! He had to spend the taxpayers money on himself and his 24 hour security... because of.... threats. Threats which will never ever be made public. 9/11!!!!
- ajpalmieri, on 11/29/2007, -31/+314This is only one of many things that should have ended his political career. I think the NYFD not having top notch radios, which probably was directly responsible for many deaths of the firefighters on 9/11, is worse.

He was never a serious candidate. :D - alexology, on 11/29/2007, -17/+241As a New Yorker, i'm shocked when anyone would consider NYC a conservative city, especially OUR FORMER MAYOR. We have abortion clinics, plenty of illegal immigration, numerous housing projects(payed for by the local goverment), one of the highest state taxes in the country (property & sales tax), little to no religion in public schools, and one of the largest annual gay parades in the country.
To be honest, I didn't really mind Guliani as our Mayor, but after seeing his neo-conservative make-over, i'm starting to think that this man will do anything for power.
Ron Paul '08 - relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -36/+246Meanwhile, Congressman Paul is looking better and better.
I'm just saying. - Tweekster, on 11/29/2007, -12/+201SNL? are you serious. That shouldnt even be on a list of serious charges against him. It is a ***** comedy show. If you have legitimate beefs with him stick to those, skip the idiotic ones that relate to having a sense of humor
- BlackStrain, on 11/29/2007, -7/+174Yes but 9/11, 9/11, 9/11, 9/11. Oh, and 9/11.
- BlackStrain, on 11/29/2007, -9/+134Not being able to hear the evacuation order didn't help.
- JasonCox, on 11/29/2007, -13/+133YouTube: Mr Guliani, is it true that you used taxpayer money to pay for a vacation for yourself and your, shall we say, "girl toy"?
Rudy: 9/11
*crowd of Republicans cheer* - RoroCo, on 11/29/2007, -5/+93What a waste for all those people that donated $9.11 to his campaign.
- edstate, on 11/29/2007, -8/+78Ah, it didn't matter anyway. His answer to every question was the same:
Cleaned up NY, 911, "most conservative city", 911, hillary clinton, I beat bill clinton, 911, american league, 911, etc - ShorXrorE, on 11/29/2007, -5/+69SERIOUS QUESTION: so when are we going to actually start putting powerful people in jail for breaking the law? we got millions of poor people in jail for smoking a joint and we have all our politicians murdering, stealing public money, doing all the most horrible things you can do and nothing is happening to any of them. back in the day you'd just organize a coup and kill all the leaders, we gotta have SOME kind of replacement for that!
- bigjoeportagee, on 11/29/2007, -3/+66I hate to be a pessimist, but unless it's a gay scandal nothing seems to derail a republican, they're shameless and we're apathetic.
- Luminoth, on 11/29/2007, -12/+64If you're going to be an asshat about things like this, do yourself a favor and try to be correct about it. Neither of those things were *directly* responsible. Whatever it is that actually killed them individually was *directly* responsible. Both the radios and the terrorists were *indirectly* responsible.
- sesstreets, on 11/29/2007, -16/+61I'm from New York. He's considered one of the reasons that there is no life in NY anymore. See, when he went out and decided to take out all those dirty bars and strip clubs all over Manhattan he also took away the soul of the city and sold it out to starbucks and macdonalds.
- sgtpppr, on 11/29/2007, -5/+49And I cannot believe people aren't going crazy that he came right out and openly said that the gov't job is to regulate and put limits on the rights granted in the constitution. He was asked about the right to own a gun and he basically said that the right was in the constitution, but it is up to the gov't to decide who get the right and with what restrictions. It's one thing to be for or against gun control, but his response was simply about the gov't allowing people to have their rights and regulating them.
- BeforeSputnik, on 11/29/2007, -1/+43In the debate last night he mentioned that he had to have security 24 hrs a day for threats that he would not discuss.
- Lenny, on 11/29/2007, -7/+49good.
- JaimeD26, on 11/29/2007, -0/+40"it was the day after 9/11"
- div2n, on 11/29/2007, -2/+39Sean Hannity has been piming him. Can't wait to see how he implodes over this.
- TheSwashbuckler, on 11/29/2007, -4/+41Your reply buried as conservative sputum...
- MWeather, on 11/29/2007, -2/+38It could be worse. He could have lied about the safety of the air at ground zero, too.
- Erect, on 11/29/2007, -3/+38I had to ask myself last night while watching the debates... who on earth is seriously supporting this guy in the first place?
- cybermort, on 11/29/2007, -5/+38as mayor of nyc, isn't it a responsibility to make sure that first responders are ready in case of a major emergency. a failure to do so show incompetency to do ones job.
- Narrator, on 11/29/2007, -2/+34He's more than made up for any failing as mayor by healing the psychological wounds by personally providing solace and comfort [hot shagging action] to a helpless victim [hot broad] of the trauma of 9/11 out at a rural [Hamptons] psychological healing center [ shag pad ] ! How dare you criticize him for this heroic action of compassion [ lust ] in the face of such tragedy.
- kent1146, on 11/29/2007, -10/+39You're under the false impression that credentials somehow matter. That was disproved once we had a guy that is a lying, killed-a-woman-while-drunk-driving, cocaine snorting, C-minus student, National Guard AWOL, ***** up everything he touched (Texas Rangers, Carlyle Group) as our president for 2 terms.
- yutt, on 11/29/2007, -7/+35How is it cowardly to knowingly end your life by flying a plane into a building?
It is a lot of things, but cowardly isn't one of them. - donte, on 11/29/2007, -2/+28I don't like Bush but please, the woman killing is Ted Kennedy's... don't steal his pregnancy avoiding thunder.
- SupremeThor, on 11/29/2007, -3/+28good riddance...
- monkeyrun, on 11/29/2007, -0/+25Nine ........ Eleven
- 5urr3al5am, on 11/29/2007, -8/+32How can someone take you this conversation seroulsly when it has no logic at all? So if I a mugger kills someone at gun point ... its not the muggers fault.. but the bullets fault for flying through the air and penetrating the victims head.
- MistySteele, on 11/29/2007, -2/+25Hmmm, yeah, let's see,
warmongering . . . ok,
fascism . . . sure,
hegemonic expansion . . . . good, good,
oral sex . . . . mmm, no that's not going to fly, I can't vote for him in good conscience, anymore - jon30041, on 11/29/2007, -0/+21No, Clinton was COOL for playing the sax on the Arsenio Hall Show. Introduction to an interview, he plays some freakin' jazz? That's awesome. Like insllvn said, the embarrassment came when he blew a load on some intern's dress.
- sgtpppr, on 11/29/2007, -6/+25So Clinton was a stooge for playing Saxophone and Reagan was a national embarrassment for previously being in movies?
- AshamedAmerican, on 11/29/2007, -13/+32Too good to be true.
- rarson, on 11/29/2007, -1/+20jellygraph, it's not his age that is the problem, it's his ability to think critically that is lacking.
I know quite a few people that are 50+ that are still completely clueless. - spyd3rweb, on 11/29/2007, -1/+19What about 9/12?
- jellygraph, on 11/29/2007, -8/+26thcobbs:
at your age, the world seems so much simpler, but trust me, one day you will grow up and realize that its not that simple. for example, if it is my job to guard a bank and I fall asleep during my job, if a gang of robbers come in and steal everything, I am still in deep ***** the next day for being a failure and being responsible for not doing my duty. and i then get fired.
i hope you have learnt something today. - inactive, on 11/29/2007, -3/+21So why even have them at all?
Hell, why give them any form of protection? If they get hurt or die, it'll be the fault of the person who made them go into the fire. - omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 11/29/2007, -5/+22There's dirty bars, but good luck finding them. When you do, then good luck even getting into them.
BRING BACK POLE DANCING - rnelsonee, on 11/29/2007, -0/+17FWIW, W never killed anyone while driving (drunk or sober). His wife, however, did kill her classmate in an accident after she ran a stop sign. No one was drinking (according to the police report - there was no test performed).
- OwdenBowden, on 11/29/2007, -6/+22Yes - the people who flew the planes take the main responsibility - However - RUDY also is to blame. He was the Mayor of the city and did not approve the new communication equipment that was desperately needed (even after he was advised to make the purchase several times) so YES - he is responsible for the death of the the Emergency Responders.
I am a life long New Yorker - Born and raised in NYC and the fact is that Rudy was at the Right Place at the Right Time. He was not good for the City of New York and he sure as hell is not good for the United States. If he spent $500,000 on an affair while Mayor of NYC - I can only imagine how much this is going to cost us all if he is elected President. - PeppermintPig, on 11/29/2007, -3/+19Agree, and perhaps we wouldn't have had hijackings if the US government weren't meddling with foreign nations? Why are we propping up kings?
- monkeyrun, on 11/29/2007, -0/+16Little did you know Judith Nathan is the Ancient Goddess of Anti-Terrorism.
Mr Guliani eventually sacrificed (married her) himself to save America. - g1antp15to1, on 11/29/2007, -3/+18thats 9/11 the best 9/11 news I've heard 9/11 all month 9/11
9/11
love,
9/11 - quomen, on 11/29/2007, -5/+20test test
edit: k it works.
***** Giuliani. - CatsAreGods, on 11/29/2007, -8/+23The relative number of diggs of the two above comments speaks volumes about the nature of social interactions on Digg.
- DangerCollie, on 11/29/2007, -2/+17The only better candidate the GOP could field would be Romney. I'd have cartoons of him stuffing American taxpayers in kennels strapped to the car representing the economy.
Fred Thompson is the second coming of George Bush. I hate to encourage them but Ron Paul is the only hope the GOP has. He's moderate enough to attract independents and people just generally pissed off at the government and he'd draw the people wanting to regulate abortion to coat hangers in back alley clinics again.
I guess a slim chance is better than none. - AshamedAmerican, on 11/29/2007, -2/+16Careful, some don't take kindly to "thinkers" 'round these parts.
