- egoherodotus, on 05/14/2008, -6/+118This man should spend the rest of his life, 23 hours a day, in an 8x10 cell. No cable TV, no books, just his hard mattress, toilet, and the wall.
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -7/+113The Bush regime think they're above the law! Let's show them otherwise!
- ugmold, on 05/14/2008, -0/+98What gives these people the right "to choose" to testify. Cook this fat ass
- mishaco, on 05/14/2008, -2/+94its contempt of congress time !
- JSDigger, on 05/14/2008, -0/+87Congress should follow through and subpoena him. If he won't testify then, he has to go to court for breaking the law.
- Bushlied, on 05/14/2008, -5/+92Please, someone charge this idiot with treason, and send him to the gallows.
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/14/2008, -0/+58So if the average citizen did the same, exactly how many officers / federal agents would show up at their front door to collect them?
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -14/+76He's only going to lie anyway, so does it really matter?
- bunecat, on 05/14/2008, -0/+50Everyone in the rotten Bush administration has given the middle finger to the citizens of this country again and again. Rove will be protected, no matter what damage he has done or how many lies he has told. He is GWB's little buddy.
- SheilaNoya, on 05/14/2008, -1/+40Meanwhile, Bush's former legal counsel involved in blocking the investigation of the Siegelman case had his home and office raided by the FBI. They should do the same thing to Karl Rove, then arrest his fat ass for obstruction of justice.
Even though Bush will just give him blanket immunity and a full pardon for his many crimes, at least it will send a clear message that this crap will no longer be tolerated and it will go down in the record books as obvious corruption by White House officials in the Bush Administration. - EtherGnat, on 05/14/2008, -4/+43"He's only going to lie anyway"
I hear waterboarding is an acceptable tactic. - nova912, on 05/14/2008, -1/+37Send some one over there, knock down his door with a no-knock warrant, arrest him, and bring him forth -- problem solved.
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -0/+34So , wait ... he can refuse to testify, but a bad attitude gets you tazed , the wrong skin color lands you in gitmo, and the government can execute no knock warrents? ..... yea... makes sense....
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -4/+37I am not a lawyer, but, I suppose if he lies under oath and later some evidence surfaces which exposes his lies, there will be serious consequences for lying under oath.
Rove is evil, but extremely smart as well, so he's acting conservatively to minimize possible amount of trouble in future.
Then again, I doubt likes of him will ever be put behind the bars. - Apokalyps2547, on 05/14/2008, -0/+23Wait wait wait, are you REFUTING the fact that Rove refused to testify? Do you live under a rock?
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -8/+33Karl won't testify because he hates our troops.
If he respected our troops and what they are fighting for he would testify. - JinnRikki, on 05/14/2008, -1/+22"Rove Wipes Ass On Constitution And Says Here, Suck On That"!
Now it's correct. - carpespasm, on 05/14/2008, -0/+22That's what I want to know. How the ***** do politicians get away with refusing to show up to court? If I fail to show up when a court tells me to I'll have a bench warrant out on my ass, but if it's someone with deep pockets or political pull they can show up at their own discretion? Did I miss something from this picture?
- InfamousAtheist, on 05/14/2008, -0/+19Well, Feces blesses Karl Rove. Appropriate.
- AshamedAmerican, on 05/14/2008, -2/+22Don't you trolls have anything better to do?
- notoneofus, on 05/14/2008, -0/+18Karl Rove is proof that there is no god. If there was, he'd strike that ***** down in the street.
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -2/+22Would he still refuse if electrodes were attached to his vestigial testes?
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -3/+19Hey look its a gutter culture apologist!
- AndrewDB, on 05/14/2008, -3/+20An eight by ten cell is too nice for Rove and the entire Bush presidency cabinet, we should give them a four by five cells.
- quesi, on 05/14/2008, -1/+17waterboarding, definitely waterboarding.
- nickspm, on 05/14/2008, -0/+16Well what is the next step then? Can a warrant be served?
- lettruthout, on 05/14/2008, -0/+16That's assuming the conviction comes during Bush's term.
- crichton101, on 05/14/2008, -1/+15sadly if he was convicted, Bush would just pardon him.
- stukilla, on 05/14/2008, -0/+11WTF...another example of how the rich and people that run the country are "above" the law...the system is broken
- bunji, on 05/14/2008, -0/+11Well then, off to Gitmo with him!
- KiraDnote, on 05/14/2008, -1/+12They're not trolls, they're just republicans being republicans, but it is hard to tell them apart.
- haydesigner, on 05/14/2008, -2/+15I'm guessing you think a blowjob is worthy of a witchhunt though, right?
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -3/+12Big ***** deal, subpoena him. Or wait until Jan 21 and take the whole Bush thing out of the equation.
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -1/+11Rove is a coward!
- carpespasm, on 05/14/2008, -0/+9Nope. I don't even want Karl Rove waterboarded. It might be a fun idea to think about, but it's torture, and it makes a really good standard to refuse to torture even scum like that. We shouldn't torture, period.
- phrenzy, on 05/14/2008, -0/+9How bad do you have to be that only ONE digg Republican troll dares to even attempt (and fail) to defend you/
- casek, on 05/14/2008, -0/+8hi there "feces". i'm a conservative and i hate karl rove. i think that he has done nothing but aid in our country going down the toilet....much like feces does.
we don't want that. we want a free country where people are allowed to be free, we want small government, we want these heinous laws like "the patriot act" (which isn't very patriotic to begin with) struck down.
we're not having much trouble fighting scumbags like you, because when you speak, you pretty much let everyone in the world know what kind of pieces of trash you are. - crichton101, on 05/14/2008, -0/+8True. I could see the Dems trying to push it through during the election period though as if to aid in winning the election and to appear to be finally tough on Bush.
- Strungout, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7God I want this piece of ***** to go down, sadly nothing will probably happen
- inactive, on 05/14/2008, -3/+12he might as well just lie underoath. he's going to hell anyway.
- alacrity2005, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7Can you name ONE "conservative" president who decreased government spending? Try it without looking it up. The conservative myth of fiscal conservatism is just that... a myth. IT DOES NOT EXIST. They cut taxes on the rich, they increase unemployment so that business can take advantage of cheaper labor, they increase the budget deficit and the deficit overall exponentially, but they do not decrease government spending.
- casek, on 05/14/2008, -1/+8neo conservative trash. -buried.
- lhbaker, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7Only the Justice Department can prosecute him, and Bush owns the Justice Department. Until January....
- nilcam, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7I'll remember this precedent if I'm ever served. "I'd prefer not to."
- dig1x, on 05/14/2008, -0/+7I'd rather have justice served instead - thanks.
- Apokalyps2547, on 05/14/2008, -0/+6Other myths include:
"Republicans are the party of morality." Torture, unprovoked war, voting against veterans' benefits, politically-motivated crimes and firings, etc.
"Republicans are for smaller government, Democrats are for bigger government." The Republican administration has seen to it that citizens can be wiretapped and arrested without warrants or a trial, held indefinately, and tortured. Democrats would raise taxes on higher income brackets and large businesses. Boo hoo. - aidave, on 05/14/2008, -2/+8But did he smoke marijuana? If not, he should go free.
- Berkana, on 05/14/2008, -0/+5So now this disgusting administration is "pro-choice"?
