- Spiritof76, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I thought Cavuto was highly educated and one of the few rational people on a network of neo-conservative hacks, but in this he looked like an idiot. For example, he asks Paul, "How would we pay for buildings like the one you are standing in (The US Capitol building) if people didn't pay their income taxes?" Paul, without missing a beat reminded Cavuto that THE CAPITOL WAS BUILT BEFORE THE INCOME TAX WAS PUT INTO LAW. Cavuto goes on bleating like a sheep "that we couldn't pay for anything" with out the tax. Apparently neo-conservatives, like their fellow travelers the progressives, believe that government spending is the main engine of economic activity. Of course neo-cons really believe that "war is the health of the state" and global empire is not cheap, hence you get neo-cons for taxes. Three Cheers for Ron Paul!
- oriolesfan, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6It was quite obvious that Cavuto was trying to trick Ron Paul into saying something dumb with just about every question that he asked. Yet Paul, the class act that he is, avoided all the traps and really ended up telling Cavuto to shove it in a nice way. Score another point for Ron Paul and liberty!
- Magillicutti, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I'm pretty sure most Ron Paul, or Ed and Elaine Brown, supporters either know of or have seen this.
