- kweee, on 10/30/2007, -16/+225All I want for Christmas is Ron Paul for President.
- buckybadger9876, on 10/29/2007, -42/+235He is not creepy. He is wonderful and he has a wonderful message. You don't have to agree with him on everything but he is honest and is the change this nation needs.
www.thisnovember5th.com - inactive, on 10/29/2007, -28/+188Ron Paul has won every live TV and Internet poll that I've seen. Later, controlled media takes down the real data and posts their own winners. Let the people decide or we'll have 4-8 more years of a Bush-like regime where the paying and dying citizens are ignored and special interests (selfish interests) win.
- LordSkywalker, on 10/29/2007, -14/+132I agree with the article. Donations will be about $2.5 million in October alone, and the 2nd commercial is great. With that great ad running in NH, where he already has strong support will be great. On top of that we have http://thisnovember5th.com coming up and I suspect we may see $1,000,000+ in donations that single day. On top of it all, MSM is starting to report more on him, he's going to be on Jay Leno (big audience) this Tuesday, etc. Things are going good so far.
- cherish592, on 10/29/2007, -12/+126Northeastern republicans have always leaned libertarian (live free or die, NH). I've seen a lot of support him for him in the south (TX) because people want small government and are feeling the effects of NAFTA. So, laugh all you want about him being president of "teh internets", but he actually does have a shot as long as he stays on message.
- jynweythek, on 09/17/2008, -4/+97If New Hampshire has the first primary in the nation as usual, RP has good reason to hope for 1st place. The state is famous for its Libertarian leanings. (wiki the Free State Project for more on this.) Whoever wins the first primary will doubtlessly gain huge national momentum.
We had a straw poll here in ND a few days ago. First place went to Mitt ***** Romney. I just about ***** myself with frustration at the idiots here. - inactive, on 10/29/2007, -13/+89If Ron Paul became a front runner I'm sure no one would be more surprised than himself. It would serve him right.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 10/29/2007, -4/+65Ron Paul has more cash on hand than McCain. So in a way, he's already beaten him. McCain is steadily losing ground, while Dr. Paul is rapidly gaining ground.
- lordmetroid, on 10/29/2007, -4/+55"... he actually does have a shot as long as he stays on message." very unlikely he would flip flop after what can it be 30 years of the same principled values?
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -21/+68***** YEAH RON PAUL.
- UtopiaInTheSky, on 10/30/2007, -9/+56Creepy? If I'm not mistaken, Ron Paul is dominating the 18-24 demographic. Mostly among college students. So... since when are college students considered "creepy"?
- ItMakesSense, on 10/29/2007, -11/+57Hilary being elected to presidency would be the worst thing possible for this nation. She is a dirty politician that would completely disgrace our country even more. We don't need another president that will lie and ***** us all day long. We also don't need the division seen everywhere. ***** democrat and Republican. This country needs to not be split anymore. We need a truthful president in office, we need a different energy system (get rid of Gas), we need a better school system (our present one is horrible), and we need to not be SO DAMN LAZY! America is set on great values, our history is complete ***** though.
- n8glenn, on 10/29/2007, -8/+50Frankly, I don't believe you. I know that Ron Paul understands the constitution better than to try to institute a state religion. To argue that Ron Paul wants to unite church and state in any way is just plain nonsense. Ron Paul, unlike Bush, would never try to impose his beliefs on you or me.
- bigboi212, on 10/29/2007, -12/+53I like Ron Paul because of his ideas. It's about time for some changes in the direction of our government.
- Krippy, on 10/29/2007, -4/+42Based on what, the booing? You'll notice that in the after show Dr. Paul mentions that he didn't get 1000 tickets like Romney and Guliani did. Then, you take a look at the poll and see that Ron won, which focuses on a much more broad audience.
So where was he out of touch? - jgaba24, on 10/29/2007, -8/+45My favorite line in that story "Paul’s campaign may prove that polling methods are obsolete."
- Malarie, on 10/29/2007, -15/+51Please as a Canadian, if you want your country back in your hands where it belongs, Donate to Raul Paul and dont forget to donate here on the 5th of November: http://www.thisnovember5th.com/
- scoobydoo84, on 10/29/2007, -10/+44m1garand,
Excellent response!! - bobbybobington, on 10/29/2007, -2/+33I wan to see him at least beat Giulani, I don't want to worry about seeing that creep anywhere near the whitehouse. McCain at least has some honor compared to Mr. 911
- Satertek, on 10/29/2007, -0/+29It only takes a few people to make it sound like "a lot of booing" in an otherwise silent room as well.
- inactive, on 10/29/2007, -1/+29ron paul is already beating mccain
in everything.. - adamruth, on 10/31/2007, -1/+27His voting record proves it.
- card51short, on 10/29/2007, -5/+31oh the fox one last week? You mean the one that Ron Paul won?
Who's out of touch? - kahlessreborn, on 10/29/2007, -4/+28While it is true that he doesn't personally believe in abortion he has said that if a state approves it themselves he wont stand against the decision.
- scoobydoo84, on 10/30/2007, -3/+25pimpbot1979
I would rather have creepy supporters than the outright criminals and traitors in the republican and democratic parties!! Besides, what kind of a intellectual defunct and thoughtless argument was that?? Was there a point there?? - omegaant, on 10/29/2007, -9/+31Hope RP has body guards!! The powers-that-be Republican or Democrat all hate those who point out their hypocrisies. They want things to stay chaotic so that some will profit and support them. Ron Paul is honest, intelligent, sees the big picture, knows the federal govt. is about to collapse anyway, and most importantly, he has promised to END THE WAR IN IRAQ ON DAY ONE OF HIS PRESIDENCY. 01/21/09! May we all live to see the day!!
- s1mph0ny, on 10/29/2007, -2/+24As much as I hate bush, no, you're still wrong.
- jgaba24, on 10/29/2007, -2/+24Ah yes...Fox News. 'nuff said
- WaterDragon, on 10/29/2007, -5/+27Kinky Friedman was some fool musician, while Dr. Ron Paul is a congressman with just about the cleanest, most constitutional voting record in the history of Congress. And Dr. Paul is amazingly well informed about the issues, ALL of them, unlike any other candidate.
- dudad, on 10/29/2007, -4/+25The more people like me believe that he has no chance without our help, the more we will actually do to advertise him. The fact that all polls are very skewed certainly helps. I believe it's actually helpful to Paul's campaign for him to not advertise over the entire US - yet.
- mdmogren, on 11/01/2007, -14/+34how the hell does stealing my money not infringe on my freedom?
the government can't give you anything.
"free" means STEAL FROM OTHER PEOPLE in hillary/obama land - Fordi, on 10/29/2007, -1/+20Heh. With a stacked audience. The only thing he got booed on was a quick end to the war. Then there was cheering to drown out the boos when he finished speaking.
- Comatose51, on 10/29/2007, -10/+29If Ron Paul wins the primary then I won't vote along party lines and will actually consider what both parties have to offer. Otherwise I'm going to go party line in my vote simply because the candidates on the Democrat side are less of douche bags than the GOP side, except for Ron Paul. He's what McCain should have been and what we wished McCain could have been: straight talking. Some of his ideas are way out there but this man doesn't argue with sound bites. I heard him once on NPR for 10 minutes and that was enough to convince me to lend the man my ears. The other GOP candidates are basically promising a continuation of GW Bush and refuses to recognize the situation at hand is bad. Of all the candidates on both sides, RP is the only one that offers a real alternative but I get the feeling that a lot of businesses are going to hate him and do their best to derail him.
- fantasyflamz, on 10/29/2007, -4/+23Stop stereotyping. Ron Paul is so much different than other republican candidates.
And why do we need him as president? Because he's for limited government and habeas corpus, which we really need now. - WaterDragon, on 10/31/2007, -1/+19Yeah...why don't you look into Ron Paul's actual voting record, and the facts about his being frugal with expenses, even giving back some of the funds appropriated to his congressional office every year. and he refuses to accept the lucrative pension given to Congress members.
- Fordi, on 10/29/2007, -1/+19He's been in Congressional office for 10 years now, and has never strayed from his constitutional stance. As long as he does that, I don't give a whit about his personal beliefs - because the point of the constitution is to keep them out of my politics.
- penguinomint, on 10/29/2007, -2/+20and a 50" plasma
- thirdoffive, on 10/29/2007, -2/+20I don't know what it is but he's really being hammered. If you go on digg spy and only look at the things being buried a whole lot of it is Ron Paul stories. A lot of people do not like him and they're showing it. It's most likely a combination of liberal ideologues who can't handle abortion being a state issue, as well as neocons who favor eternal war. It's funny that RP could bring such different groups together.
- scoobydoo84, on 10/30/2007, -2/+19asskey
Ron Paul is a Republican in the very spirit of the meaning of the word!! When I say republican party I am talking about the criminal and morally corrupt enterprise that has sold out this country and is trying to keep honest and courageous leaders like Ron Paul from gaining any real power!! - MikeXpop, on 10/29/2007, -17/+33Does no one out there remember the Kinky Friedman campaign? For those who don't, Kinky (a country singer popular in the 70s) ran for govenor of Texas in 2006. He garnered HUGE support among college kids, he had signs everywhere, and basically was a grassroots powerhouse. On internet polls he garnered 70-80%, and the media asked the same qeustions about if old polling techniques were too out of touch. He came in fourth, with 12% of the vote.
Can anyone out there tell me how Ron Paul is that different from Kinky Friedman? Informal polls are skewed when you have an energetic grassroots voter base. - eastwood24, on 10/29/2007, -10/+26Agreed, Ron Paul should always focus on limited federal gov't. GIVE ME LIBERTY
- MikeXpop, on 10/29/2007, -5/+21As someone from New Hampshire, I personally don't think it will be that easy. New Hampshire does have libertarian leanings, but they are not as strong as most people think. All it means is that we are against sales taxes, helmet and seat belt laws, and fireworks prohibition; it doesn't mean we support dismantling the IRS or things like that.
Also, it's important to note that the libertarian Republicans have gone independent or Democratic in the last couple years. In 2006, both of our Republican congressmen were voted out for Democrats, and the Democrats took control of the state house for the first time in decades. A lot of Ron Paul supporters think, "NH is libertarian, so they should like libertarian candidates", but it's just not that simple. - Rickler, on 10/29/2007, -7/+23Why do the democrats? They have done nothing but give the president everything he wanted and more since they took majority. Nither party deserves it, we have no choice, America is a two party state.
- kcasper, on 10/29/2007, -1/+16I would think more like 1.7million at the rate of growth of that site, if everyone who subscribes will only donate 100 dollars.
- jmpeagle, on 10/29/2007, -3/+18more like Unbuntu, Apple, Microsoft sucks, Net Neutrality, Ron Paul, Jack Thompson sucks, bit torrent, Comcast sucks
- scoobydoo84, on 10/29/2007, -4/+19vojiffyskippy,
18-24 demographics are idealists and want bold and inspirational leaders. Finally in Ron Paul they have one!! The turnout will be massive!! - exomniac, on 10/29/2007, -3/+18Well said. I cannot stand these trolls that scrape for any trivial detail to bash Ron Paul. Aren't there more pressing issues at hand? I'd like to know who satanatnmtedu thinks he's going to vote for, and I hope he is as analytical of that candidate as he is of Ron Paul. That goes for anyone that hunts for opportunities to "speak out" against Ron Paul; you know, being the evil-doer that he is.
- Satertek, on 10/29/2007, -5/+20Maybe we just needed someone to vote for. And if these polls are taking into account the fact that we don't vote, they're in for a rude awakening.
- AirRaven, on 10/29/2007, -13/+28If you don't agree with him on things as fundamental as foreign policy, fiscal policy, domestic policy, and health care, you may *just* have a problem.
Say, if you respect the role of the UN in international affairs? Or if you want to stay as part of NATO and not run away from the world? What if you believe every American should have the right to free health care, something considered a fundamental in just about every other Western Democracy, which has done absolutely nothing to infringe upon the freedoms of the populace, and has done nothing but good for the health of entire nations?
Then, I believe, you're slightly screwed as far as Mr Paul goes. -
