- iupetre, on 12/02/2007, -3/+100This is really cool. I think the most important thing to take from this video is at the end. There were no people rallying for Romney, Giuliani, or Thompson. Only Ron Paul had fervent supporters.
Too many people have accepted the fact that they won't actually vote FOR someone; instead, they will vote AGAINST someone. God forbid if the ticket is Giuliani vs. Clinton, people will mark Giuliani on their ticket. Not because they are voting FOR Giuliani, but because they are voting AGAINST Clinton... - richgustavson, on 12/02/2007, -14/+102I like how that guy calls the homophobia in the military "principles, not prejudices". What an ignorant douche.
- Jesus4King, on 12/02/2007, -6/+50Most Startling Admission in the CNN YouTube Presidential Debates
30 seconds says it all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mALpnSTGAQs - TheFiestyFaun, on 12/02/2007, -1/+40when was the last time the government asked the people what they thought?
- Daunting, on 12/02/2007, -6/+41Most of the support the mainstream candidates have is from sideline political participaters. They aren't in the streets, they are not organizing, they are not using their creative outputs to generate funds and recognition. They just heard is name a few times and noticed other people like them. Ron Paul has real people ready to give of themselves in order to accomplish something they believe in. That is active liberty.
That's why there are no Romneyites or Guilanians. - natedouglas, on 12/02/2007, -9/+41I see that becoming a catchphrase soon.
"I didn't shoot that ***** because of prejudice. It was principle." - jmgoody311, on 12/02/2007, -2/+27Have any of these people claiming that homosexuals make members of the military uncomfortable actually asked military personnel what they think about the topic?
- Flakor, on 12/02/2007, -7/+32I think it was Digg that caused him to have a huge Online Community
- mexicanman07, on 12/02/2007, -4/+27to be honest i dont know who i would vote against if it was Giuliani vs. Cinton
- stephbangm, on 12/02/2007, -4/+27The venerable and honorable Dr. Ron Paul—Last man standing. We'll be the last supporters standing! So be sure to vote in your Primary—if the majority of Ron Paul supporters actually vote in the Primaries, we would most likely win; Even if only 5-8% of the public support Ron Paul like the official polls say, only about 5-10% of the population vote in the Republican Primary! That's why it's critical that we have to work hard right now. Just a few people could make or break this election!
- xuanyan, on 12/02/2007, -1/+24"If you don't get the Republican nomination, would you be willing to run as a third party candidate?"
CAN WE STOP ASKING THIS PLEASE? The answer is not going to change. - NightVortez, on 12/02/2007, -1/+21Actually if anything it was youtube.
Well what caused him to have a huge community was the agreement of his message and what people normally consider online, but sites such as youtube and digg helped inform people of his message. - Look4Truth, on 12/02/2007, -4/+23The revolution grows day by day.
- stephbangm, on 12/02/2007, -4/+22We have to become delegates to get Ron Paul the GOP nomination; As delegates, we'll be picking the GOP nominee just like the electors in the electoral college pick the President; Delegates determine and decide who the GOP nominee is---it's that critical!
Become a Delegate or Ron Paul will NOT be President

Approved by the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee: Jeff Greenspan, Regional Coordinator - Durinthal, on 12/02/2007, -2/+19Hm.. since you're so fond of Leviticus..
Do you eat pork? (Lev 11:7) Any kind of shellfish? (Lev 11:12) Do you have a tattoo? (Lev 19:28) Do you "cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard?" (Lev 19:27) Have you ever worn clothing made from two different materials? (Lev 19:19)
If you answered yes to any of those, you're just as guilty of breaking the law of God as homosexuals are. - elnerdo, on 12/02/2007, -4/+20Interestingly, there ARE MORE THAN TWO GODDAMN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES!
I apologize for the use of caps, but it's appropriate here.
Get that through your (collective) head! There are more than two candidates, and voting for a loser is NOT 'wasting a vote.' It's an election, not a horserace. - onebit, on 12/02/2007, -2/+18It sounds scary to get rid of the Dept of Education, but it isn't. States would take responsibility for education. We would not stop educating children!
Who cares if Ron Paul is pro-choice. The President does not pass laws on abortion. He has stated that abortion laws should be handled by the state. In my opinion most states would pass pro-choice laws, but would outlaw third trimester abortions. I am pro-choice and I am fine with this. The people should decide the laws, not judges. - angrynorwegian, on 12/02/2007, -2/+16you get the chance to personally talk to ron paul and you ask him the same 2 lame questions that everyone else asks? wtf?
- tacojohn48, on 12/02/2007, -1/+14I couldn't really see myself supporting either of them. I wouldn't want to cast a vote that put either of them in the white house. I would have to skip it or do a write in just to show disapproval of both candidates.
- Laughto, on 12/02/2007, -1/+14Memo to all interviewers:
The answer to your first question is 'They're sick of big government and like freedom and the constitution'
To your second it is 'I will not run as an independent'.
Now maybe we'll hear more probing questions? - gmiley, on 12/02/2007, -3/+16In my opinion, it is only a waste when you don't support the person you really think should win. This event of massive retardation that we call an election would be a hell of a lot better if people actually supported and voted for who they wanted, instead of against someone else, or for who they think other people might vote for.
- Kazbaeden, on 12/02/2007, -2/+15How is supporting a candidate who has the same ideals and values as you a waste, despite his or her odds of winning an election? I suppose you're the type of person who "votes to win" or simply goes into the ballot box and pulls the party lever. That right there is a true waste.
I'll tell you right now, if Ron Paul doesn't win the primaries I'll be writing his name in come November, because there's no way I'll ever vote for someone who does not hold my views. - netfool, on 12/02/2007, -5/+17I thought it was interesting how Paul received a mix reaction of cheers & boos (if I remember correctly) about bringing the troops home - all of them (Germany, Japan etc etc). I've believed in that for awhile now and it's great to hear that from a Presidential Candidate.
- As far as national defense, I believe we should copy the Swiss (before they joined the EU). Maintain a very strong military but it STAYS in the US.
- Have no alliances to drag us into wars.
- Citizens should feel free to visit other nations, but they do so at their own risk. The military will not swoop into save someone outside our borders.
- We should however to continue to trade with other nations, hell encourage it even more!
I really disliked how Giulianni stated that it's that type of attitude (isolationist, which it's not) that caused world war 2. It was the alliances that were made that turned it from a "war" into a "World War"., '
The Swiss stayed out of World War I & II (and previous wranglings) successfully, and they're in the center of Europe! If all countries adopted this method, well I think there would be exactly....zero wars.
This from a soldier that just returned from Iraq little over a month ago. I read some enlightening books out there. On a side note, I really wish "interests" was defined in the constitution, or left out completely. - richgustavson, on 12/02/2007, -4/+16You really think homosexuality is a CHOICE? Do you really think that people throughout the world suffer through prejudice and ignorance just because they CHOOSE to? You've gotta be pretty brainwashed by religion to think these people choose to be homosexual instead of being naturally attracted to the same sex.
And it IS prejudice. These people are homophobic enough that they are uncomfortable in the presence of a homosexual. That's the real issue here. It's not that they disagree with their lifestyle. - onebit, on 12/02/2007, -2/+14The Ron Paul phenomenon isn't a cult personality. It's an ideology. If Ron Paul suddenly started supporting the War In Iraq and the Patriot Act he'd lose all of his support.
The mainstream republican party is a cult of personality. Hannity and Limbaugh proclaim anything George Bush and the Republicans do as good. For instance, they laud themselves as being Conservative, but they spend more money than the Democrats. - angers, on 12/02/2007, -5/+16the kid in the back was pretty funny
- kirstpo, on 12/02/2007, -3/+14This doesn't make Ron Paul supporters look good. It just shows that Ron Paul supporters are active.
The guy who said he wouldn't be there to support any of the other candidates on the stage is an honest statement. How can you conclude cult of personality? There is no cult of personality in Ron Paul supporters. They just agree for the most part with RP's platform and stance in politics. Simply because people believe he is the only qualified candidate for presidency doesn't indicate cult of personality. Your logic is pretty messed up. There are many good reasons people support Ron Paul. - getoffmybridge, on 05/05/2009, -1/+12Oh yes, he'd love that. Nice warm facial while he buries articles not approved by Fox News. Yeah...yeah that's hot.
- zeuslgn, on 12/02/2007, -1/+11The Dept. of Education didn't even exist until Jimmy Carter authorized it's creation in 1979. We lived without it for 190 years before that, we can survive without it again and use the $54 Billion a year we save into something more worthwhile that actually gets positive results.
- dasdef, on 12/02/2007, -1/+11Hahaha yeah drinking the pop and picking his teeth. I somehow think he was put there on purpose.
- trentasaurus, on 12/02/2007, -2/+12Is this you're idea of a fun Saturday night? Get on digg and stir up some trouble with Ron Paul supports. You crazy cat, you.
- Murdats, on 12/02/2007, -4/+14so all those people in the video werent actually people?
- rollem, on 12/02/2007, -0/+9I don't think it matters too much. There will obviously be some who can't take the change when/if it happens, just like when blacks and women were integrated into the military. The brass will salute and get over it, because they're professional and it's their job, and those who can't take it will be dismissed.
- rickbauls, on 12/02/2007, -2/+11apparently they were all from digg...
- dasdef, on 12/02/2007, -3/+12how about i ejaculate all over your face
- kettlechips, on 12/02/2007, -1/+9Nothing is more exciting than watching Mitt Romney pretending to hate gays.
- medalian1, on 12/02/2007, -6/+14Wow you guys are nuts. Who is the alternative? I think he is the best choice.
- Civilizationist, on 12/02/2007, -2/+10Should we write in "Ron Paul"?
Or "Satan" to show our disapproval? - roamzero, on 12/02/2007, -2/+9Do some more research. Ron Paul has stated repeatedly that the goal for his first term would be transitory. Secondly, his idea of keeping the Fed in check would be to introduce an asset backed alternative currency to compete with the Fed notes, and let the free market sort it out.
- xerigen, on 12/02/2007, -1/+8You may be certifiably insane. Huckabee is a tax-raising control freak. He is a neo-conservative war monger. He had an approval rate of under 50% in Arkansas as governor for a reason. Not to mention he believes earth is only 6000 years old.
- DanielKongos, on 12/02/2007, -1/+8He might be saying that to create the desperation needed for him to win the nomination. If people think they have one chance to elect him they might be more motivated. Who knows, if he gets enough support in the primaries but doesn't win, he might feel obligated to run as an independent. He only said he has no intention at the moment, not that he won't run as an independent.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+9See XXXXXXXXXXXXXX? Your first comment was not loaded, it was just an ignorant message standing on its own. So you had to go back and make a reply to it, trying to rig it so your twisted opinion would seem right in the end. When will you stop the banter?
- Protonz, on 12/02/2007, -0/+7If he was a 3rd party candidate, how would get get into the debates? They wouldn't even let Ralph Nader into the audience.
- malechi, on 12/02/2007, -0/+7what people don't realize is that we have a little thing called the Congress and House of Representatives to act as checks and balances. His ideas are revolutionary because they're impossible to implement within the current system. Great heart, great mind, possibly a step in the right direction, but these things take time.
- inactive, on 12/02/2007, -2/+9No one will take your comments seriously XXXXXXXXXXXXXX, they are always rigged to make you look right. In the end it makes you look wrong, no matter what content your comments contain.
- rickbauls, on 12/02/2007, -1/+7A cult person is one who follows blindly. I'm not a republican, nor am I a democrat. I do support Ron Paul though.
- zeuslgn, on 12/02/2007, -1/+7We see what you did there. You can keep wishing all you want for him to run as an independent, he's running as a Republican. If Paul doesn't get the nod, we'll all individually decide for ourselves what to do at that point. Until then, you and your non-Paul GOP Candidate are SOL.
- MWeather, on 12/02/2007, -1/+7They're friends and Kucinich's wife has said he would gladly be Paul's running mate.
- xerigen, on 12/02/2007, -1/+7You've proven over and over that you're an idiot. Shut the hell up. You seem to have as much passion hating Ron Paul as these people have of supporting him. Maybe you're crazy.
