- NightVortez, on 11/25/2007, -12/+122Looks like the donations are paying off, we still need Iowa though.
- carbog, on 11/25/2007, -9/+84how does 15% mean he wins?
- noremorse1, on 11/25/2007, -7/+61It is certainly better than 2%, but people need to keep up their campaigning to gain more support. The nice thing about South Carolina is that 1-) It has a libertarian governor on his second term and 2-) Mitt romney is a favorite there... well, the thing about mitt romney supporters is that they have a rather soft commitment. Meaning, they may easily be swayed. I think mitt's religious views are going to hem him up in the end.
- Sithlrd, on 11/25/2007, -4/+53I was in Greenville SC for thanksgiving. RP is all over the damn place.
- Look4Truth, on 11/25/2007, -7/+46The great awakening continues.
- zwaldowski, on 11/25/2007, -5/+43It must've been all of those Ron Paul signs on the side of the road beside my school.
- l00s3r, on 11/25/2007, -4/+41Because there are 8 Republican candidates and phone polls don't count people who only have cell phones.
- mrASSMAN, on 11/25/2007, -3/+40Wow.. 400% rise.
7-point drop for Giuliani = woohoo. - guyinjapan, on 11/25/2007, -3/+38Well, I think what he means is that 15% on a landline poll is indicative of a larger support base in the mainstream pool. A lot of people have switched over to cell phones - especially much of the younger demographic - so if Ron Paul managed to grab 15% on a landline poll, he probably has a shot at winning. Not only that, but, like the guy above pointed out, it could give him some coverage and start a snowball.
- OnGard4Liberty, on 11/25/2007, -9/+38"I am a friend of the Free State Project. Check it out...and if you like it, join and continue the effort!" -- Rep. Ron Paul http://www.freestateproject.org/intro/ron_paul
- OnGard4Liberty, on 11/25/2007, -7/+34Because in a 5-way race, 25% or less will win the race. The type of people who support Ron Paul are not "traditional voters" and alot of them have never voted before. That means that Ron Paul will likely to better in the actual election than the polls of "likely voters" show.
http://www.freestateproject.org/intro/ron_paul - scudiac, on 11/25/2007, -7/+34people are moving to NH to help campaign. I think winning NH is no problem. After Dec. 16th, Ron Paul will be the no. 1 fund raiser from either party.
- stephbangm, on 11/25/2007, -6/+31Fantastic news! But in order for Ron Paul to get the GOP nomination, we have to become delegates; As delegates, we'll be picking the GOP nominee just like the electors in the electoral college pick the President; Delegates determine and decide who the GOP nominee is---it's that critical! Become a Delegate or Ron Paul will NOT be President: http://delegate.notlong.com < Approved by the Ron Paul 2008 Presidential Campaign Committee: Jeff Greenspan, Regional Coordinator
- skihigh2002, on 11/25/2007, -9/+33The article is about Fred Thompson and other candidates... the mention of Ron Paul is just in passing. I mean I'm as pro-Paul as the rest but come on!
- qwertguk, on 11/25/2007, -14/+36RON PAUL '08
- venom8599, on 11/25/2007, -2/+20Ron Paul has been campaigning a lot via mail and phone here in SC. I saw some in the mail a week or so ago.
- XedLos, on 11/25/2007, -3/+20***** You Frank Luntz
Im pretty sure Ron Paul is doing much better than that. Remember Frank Luntz the guy taht runs Polls
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If9EWDB_zK4&feature ... - greyhounder, on 11/25/2007, -4/+21It's good to see Paul gaining in the polls. Too bad more Americans still do what the media tells them.
- vuke69, on 11/25/2007, -0/+17Cue crickets...

*now feel free to Digg me down.... - inactive, on 11/25/2007, -7/+23Do you know how snowballs work?
- GafferXL, on 11/25/2007, -4/+19Real easy to gain poll numbers when he's essentially gone unchallenged by other candidates. If he actually becomes a threat to these candidates in any states, i would expect a crushing amount of advertising against him by nearly all the republicans in this race.
- dissident, on 11/25/2007, -3/+17great fox news interview between neil cavuto and ron paul... he actually seemed sympathetic
http://digg.com/politics/Fox_s_Neil_Cavuto_backing ... - chaosium, on 11/25/2007, -2/+15So is Ron Paul, what's your point.
- EndersGame, on 11/25/2007, -3/+15Because right now the race is still out of 8 people, meaning if you have 15% of the population that will vote for you, you have enough votes to win. And 15% for Ron Paul equals a much much bigger voter turnout during primaries than if any other candidate was polling at 15%.
- YojimboJango, on 11/25/2007, -0/+12From the articles stats it's stated that Rudy is the front runner with 13%. 15% would be really good.
- elvisB, on 11/25/2007, -2/+13I wonder how prevalent the faithful Diebold machines are in the battleground states?
- Valmorgan, on 11/25/2007, -5/+16It never fails to shock me that there are any people at all opposed to Ron Paul. If thier for Obama its sheer racism, but stupid because Obama is Cheneys 8th cousin (for real), and married to a CFR wife, If thier for Hillary its all about the "woman" thing, again CFR., if thier for Huckabee its G Bush all over again "god and guns, lets be nazi about it", dont those evangelists ever learn?... If thier for Ruby its all about establishment money, in short thier rich and Rudy plays to that 1% elite base that gets the tax breaks, and further support for rudy is really the retarded rednecks that still think theres a man in a cave on the other side of the world that pulled off 911 to convert the world into an Islamic caliphate (lol!) - thier Fox "news" didnt inform them that Bin Laden was on the CIA payroll... so really, anyone not voting for Ron Paul is simply not doing thier homework, racist, feminist, socialist lazy, xenophobic, bigoted, very wealthy, seriously hate/scared of freedom because thats what Ron Paul will give them, or simply retarded.
- Birdoftruth, on 11/25/2007, -3/+14more bigotry towards the south, almost as bad as racism. You and the others that do this make me sick
- MrFunions, on 11/25/2007, -2/+13I just hope what happened to Jesse Ventura will happen to Ron Paul. That is when people actually realize that he can win, they will come out in numbers and vote for him.
- stalefries, on 11/25/2007, -1/+11So far, I have only seen Ron Paul signs anywhere. My Political Science teacher noticed that as well.
- DeviantDragon, on 11/25/2007, -3/+12That'd only be 2 percent. Shoulda made a joke about the 23 people in SC that vote being offset by 2 new voters that want to vote for RP.
- gjscds, on 11/25/2007, -3/+12>>After Dec. 16th, Ron Paul will be the no. 1 fund raiser from either party?
Oh BS. (1) Never count your chickens. (2) There's no damn way RP is out-funding HC. Period. Stop deluding yourself. - NightVortez, on 11/25/2007, -2/+11Actually Huckabee has been campaigning in Iowa since he announced his run, and the states platform matches his fairly well, I do not expect a Ron Paul victory over Huckabee there but if he makes it up to third place there is still hope.
- zeromancer, on 11/25/2007, -0/+9how do you advertise against ron paul? i'm sure if there was any dirt on him, we would have heard it by now.
- hiphoc, on 11/25/2007, -2/+11Hillary also accepts money from people who dont exist.
- TypeEE, on 11/25/2007, -0/+8To me, it's about honesty, I need an honest president and not one that would lie in front of the public.
- n8glenn, on 11/25/2007, -1/+9I'll believe these polls when the elections are over. I don't trust them any more than I trust anything else coming out of the mainstream media.
- KMye, on 11/25/2007, -1/+915% is not necessarily, or likely, enough to win an 8 way race, because the candidates are not equal. Last general presidential election was a greater-than-8-way race, and Kerry lost with much more than 15%...
- Valmorgan, on 11/25/2007, -0/+7Any state even thinking of using Diebold or any other digital machines this election is just *begging* for insurrection!
- Fieri, on 11/25/2007, -1/+8I was waiting for the obligatory XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX post. Always good for a laugh. Will you still be here when Paul is nominated?
- m0tbaillie, on 11/25/2007, -1/+8What's funny, douchecake? Maybe you've not heard of Huckabee, but anybody who actually follows politics and isn't a ***** simple moron who relies on CNN alone for their news has been hearing about Mike Huckabee since this time last year. Read more.
- Rezistik, on 11/25/2007, -5/+12Well, in an America where the majority is the minority and the minority is the majority he wins...
- Fieri, on 11/25/2007, -2/+9True. But Ron Paul only accept individual donations, while she accepts special interests and lobbyists. She can't exactly become MORE of a household name. All she can do with her money is try to convince people she's good for America, which over 50% have decided she's not.
- n8glenn, on 11/25/2007, -1/+8So, not only do you dislike the constitution, but you also dislike the south? Well, good for you.
- JoeRW, on 11/25/2007, -0/+6Good speech, however you are writing "thier" when in fact you mean "they're" or "their". Some sort of word processing bug?
- l00s3r, on 11/25/2007, -3/+9That's how Bush got elected.
- GeneralGore, on 11/25/2007, -6/+12Just in case we didn't have enough Ron Paul stories today.
- KingGorilla, on 11/25/2007, -0/+6This thread, not going in a very conventional direction
