- thirty3na3rd, on 07/02/2009, -3/+13Ron Paul is an amazing legislator, cut from the same cloth as our founders.
Yet he is a Rodney Dangerfield among his colleagues, who routinely thumb their noses at the Constitution and create a behemoth federal government that our founders would be ashamed of.
Thankfully, at least in the case of H.R.1207, the rest of Congress can find something about the Constitution that suits their own selfish interests. - Ddraig, on 07/06/2009, -0/+7I hope this passes.
- Imperium865, on 08/20/2009, -0/+0 Brett, how does it feel to type all of that out and realize that you are completely WRONG. You made a bold claim about someone and it has become completely obvious that you have done so without any knowledge on the matter. If you don't know something for sure, RESEARCH it before you pollute the world with your garbage.
- Brettjameson, on 07/20/2009, -1/+1Now all of a sudden Ron Paul is the man, but where was he the last 9 years during all the corruption and bantered over site, Oh that's right he's from Texas...same as Bush. Ron Paul is just another politician on the hill looking down on everyone else. Now he's trying to come out big and make a name for himself and bring the political theater back to Texas. We learned a valuable lesson over the last 8 years, it's how to become rich and stay rich off the backs of others by stealing tax dollars.
If Ron Paul were so serious about this and nonpartisan, then why wasn't he screaming about Greenspan and his corruption provided non over site. Where was he as this fake energy crisis excuse to inflate the price of everything was beating down the people over the last 8 years. We need change in Washington and unfortunately what we have need and what is have are two different things. Ron Paul is trying trying to get noticed, but he is far from what we need in Washington
We the people voted for total transparency of where this money was and is going, and apparently "we the people" don't matter when it comes to our expectations. We the people generated millions of phone calls, emails, letters, and even protested about these bailouts, especially with no over site, but once again we were ignored. Now we are in a similar bid for health care reform and "we the people" have spoken as a majority of what we expect, but once again what we expect and what's on the table are two different things.
We have been sold a bag of empty, and we pay the price everyday with our tax dollars. - dlramsey, on 07/20/2009, -1/+1Brett, Ron Paul HAS been screaming about these issues for years but he's been ignored by his own party and by the major media because none of them get paid by lobbyists to lessen government power. They all get paid to sink their vampiric fangs deeper into your neck. But Ron Paul has been talking about these issues for years. In fact, Paul has earned the nickname "Dr. No" from his colleagues because he never votes for a tax or a spending increase.
I suggest you begin by educating yourself as to the actual facts before you attack someone. Study Paul's history in Congress and what he has consistently said for years before you make yourself look foolish.
By the way, Paul has been trying to audit and abolish the Fed for years. The reason it's gaining traction now is because Congressmen are actually seeing firsthand the damage and corruption of the Fed.
