- DFF777, on 11/11/2008, -5/+41Ron Paul should've been President...
- libertygal76, on 11/11/2008, -3/+30I hope there is reason for hope as Ron Paul says!

- conza88, on 11/11/2008, -6/+26I'm hopeful about the future of the Liberty movement... any hope for the Obama administration is just what his campaign offered = FALSE hope, there is CHANGE coming - except its for the WORSE
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -1/+14All this talk about the GOP in tatters - like it or not, this man is the voice of the future of the GOP. Get used to it. :)
- Acrinimiril, on 11/11/2008, -3/+15Buried reed311 as spam. What is spam?
Is a well written letter about the Obama presidency and our government by a Dr. and Statesman spame, or is a spamtastic anonymous digg post, "buried as spam," spam?
Hypocrisy so thick you can cut it with a chainsaw.
(there's no hope of making his comment rating positive anyway) - BotchaMcCoola, on 11/11/2008, -1/+13Nice to see that the Anti-Ron Paul Kooks are very silent now. Perhaps they will even admit he won the Primay debates. I'll always remember how McCain cracked those juvenile dismissive grins when Ron Paul got the big applause. But we need to get Approval Voting as the most important next step to get back to America. Please look it over and see if you agree.
- Thinbev, on 11/11/2008, -4/+15I also congratulate Obama for being the first African-American to become President of our United States, but I hope that he does what Ron Paul wrote.
Unfortunately, I think that Obama will spend too much money which will accelerate the complete collapse of our economy and dollar. We must change our foreign policy immediately or else we're all going to be much poorer and less safe.
I hope people start to want more personal and economic freedom instead of more politician rules and control. We need to remember that our country is a Republic and should be governed by the law (Constitution) and not by politicians.
Our politicians are only supposed to protect our liberties and maintain our military. They're not supposed to give us jobs or tax our income or get involved in industry. They're supposed to leave us alone.
- bryanxt, on 11/11/2008, -1/+11Great site!
- radiofriendly, on 11/11/2008, -0/+8That was beautifully written.
- thepoliticalcat, on 11/11/2008, -5/+13Dr. Paul shows himself again to be a man of integrity, with a hella lot more class than those idiots who have been making death threats and burning crosses. Palin encouraged that kind of tacky behaviour. Even though I don't agree with some of Dr. Paul's political positions, I have always supported him. He, like Obama, was capable of mobilizing supporters.
- Dalhectar, on 11/11/2008, -0/+6RP supporters would be wise to urge Obama to enact shared policy goals.
It would be much easier to fight for a Gold Standard if you didn't have 2 wars overseas. You can have a less aggressive military if you embrace diplomacy. Civil Rights and Liberties are endowed to all, not just those lucky enough to be American citizens. - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -1/+7Ok, I'll tell you, but it'll piss you off and you're likely to go into denial and scream. But I can give you the answer in 2 words:
Media Bias. - JKap, on 11/11/2008, -1/+6Dr. Paul is a true Messenger of Peace. Barack H. Obama is a disgusting war-barbarian. I cannot share in Dr. Paul's hopefulness for the Obama Administration to be anything but a continuation of Bush (that is Bush's true legacy after all—that the policies of his Administration will continue).
And I also disagree with Dr. Paul in this one instance—just as an African-American acquaintance articulated to me last night, Dr. King would be ashamed of war-monger Obama and stand in opposition to him and his War Party. - oldhick, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Sure, power is split between social conservatives and neocons in the GOP marginalizing fiscal conservatives.
Have you figured out why you're so threatened by him? He has some great ideas and he has been warning of a financial meltdown for years.
Maybe rather than mock him and those that support him, you might want to keep an ear open and listen to the man. You don't have to be a supporter and you may disagree with many of his ideas but we can all stand to learn more and he has much to teach. Mocking him and us serves no real purpose. - Acrinimiril, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Yay, hope for hope for hope!
- fiatjustitia, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5Dr. Ron Paul
A classy, old school conservative that everyone, regardless of politics, can learn from. - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+5No, he has something to fear. ACTUAL smaller government scares those who are used to just Republican ***** about it at election-time. And for "don't bother" you're sure posting a lot, but thanks for admitting to the fact that you're a kook.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -0/+4Who isn't hopeful for the future?
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -2/+6Reported for burying a legitimate article.
- MrXfromPlanetX, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3I'd be hopeful if Obama wasn't a liar

We need to get involved in the Primaries or Caucuses and weed out all corrupt incumbents. That's where the real power is at.
We cab beat the news media if we are willing to go door to door so we can reach all the voters. You can't get the elderly people who are the most politically active over the internet. - Striker101, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Hopeful? oh NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- oldhick, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3Yet still you bother... Why? So we have a candidate that motivates and inspires us. His grassroots campaign was highly motivated and while neither he nor his candidate won the election, he has made his mark on many supporters.
You have nothing to fear. Relax. We all just want to make this country a better place to live. - fiatjustitia, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3"like it or not, this man is the voice of the future of the GOP. "
I sincerely hope that this turns out to be true. - Acrinimiril, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3
Liberty makes us great!
Government impedes us. - fiatjustitia, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3There is always a reason for hope.
- fiatjustitia, on 11/11/2008, -0/+3It is my sincerest desire as a Liberal Democrat that the Libertarians replace the Republicans as the other major party. At least we wouldn't be accused of being communists just for disagreeing with the other side anymore.
I've noticed, from my own personal experiences, that Libertarians are a lot more informed, respectful, and produce much more coherent arguments than their distant 10th removed cousins in the Republican party. I may not agree (or even disagree) with everything a Libertarian will argue, but I always walk away from the debate/discussion learning something new. - RobertTaft, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2There is hope for America as long as We the People are becoming more aware and active in politics. Dr. Paul is a great leader and teacher for us all. He continually puts forth the views, and introduces bills and policies that can restore prosperity, liberty and dignity to our republic. While Obama may offer hope for a change to some, Dr. Paul offers hope for overall improvement to us all.

- Acrinimiril, on 11/11/2008, -2/+4It's also interesting to note that one of the last Ron Paul diggs for thepoliticalcat was;
The Miserable Failure of Ron Paul
Dugg in News - on 08/08/2008
Buried for being two faced!
I'm sure thepoliticalcat buried this Digg, then made a positive post to get ratings for his bury. - unlawflcombatnt, on 11/13/2008, -0/+2Best part of the article by Ron Paul:
"We have to understand that an economic correction needs to take place and the only way out of the coming recession is to go through it. Efforts to avoid it can only prolong it. I hope we can somehow find our way back to sound money and reject corporate cronyism."
No more handouts to Wall Street Welfare Queens and no more attempts to keep overvalued assets (homes) at above their natural market level price. A huge correction needs to take place, just as Ron Paul has stated. - fiatjustitia, on 11/11/2008, -0/+1Just sit tight and let the guy do his job. We'll see how he does, just give it time before making a judgment.
- jburke8491, on 11/12/2008, -0/+1And I suggest you go to mises.org and do some reading and listening.
A little knowledge about the Federal Reserve system, the founding fathers, liberty, non-interventionist foreign policy, history of cause of The Great Depression and you'll appreciate Dr. Paul. - Acrinimiril, on 11/11/2008, -2/+2
thepoliticalcat,
Why didn't you digg this then? - NoLibertarians, on 11/11/2008, -5/+4LOL
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -4/+1What is the point in winning a primary debate (and if you think those were debates, then you ARE deluded) if you can't win the primary? That's a pointless victory, isn't it? No, we aren't silent. It's just that the flood of pro-Paul spam and hero-worshipping stories has become a trickle, and so we don't bother.
- Dalhectar, on 11/11/2008, -4/+1How many states did Ron Paul win again?
The majority of the republican party are evangelicals that actually would implement a bigger government and aggressive foreign policy if left to their own devices. Without that majority of the republican base which gave McCain his 47% share of the electorate, RP will have Libertarian Party numbers, and never see national office.
While RP adds a helpful voice to the party (he helps counterbalance the insanity of the evangelicals), he certainly won't help with the Republican Party's biggest demographic problem... 2/3 of Hispanics voted for Obama. Bush got the majority of the Hispanic vote in '04 and won reelection. And remember, all of those Hispanics that voted for Obama are legal US citizens. The key question for Republicans is how do they get back Hispanics while not alienating their white base.
Ron Paul has no answer for that problem.. - inactive, on 11/11/2008, -8/+3I have hope, too. I hope that Ron Paul will continue to fleece his silly supporters for all that they're worth and continue to deliver abysmal numbers when he runs for president.
- inactive, on 11/11/2008, -8/+1So why isn't he? Oh yeah. He didn't have enough support. Why didn't he have enough support? You tell me that you still haven't figured out that one?
- NoLibertarians, on 11/11/2008, -10/+2Ron Paul is hopeless !
- reed311, on 11/11/2008, -24/+9Buried as spam.
What is Digg?
